Great place! Would recommend without hesitation Clean and well furnished A little out of the way But makes it quiet and relaxing

Our family of 8 stayed at The Shanty for 6 nights. The views out the back are amazing! We have several birders in our family who enjoyed just relaxing on the balcony with their binoculars. Our 4 year old enjoyed playing in the sand and flying kites at low tide. You can walk to the ocean at low tide as well. The Shanty was incredibly clean and comfortable for everyone. We had space to be together, as well as apart. Everyone said they would be happy to return!

This home is beautifully decorated and fully stocked with all the necessities for a dream vacation. It’s located in a very quiet neighborhood. Providing calm restorative beach days, and it’s close to all of the attractions if movement and action is the vibe you’re looking for. In other words, it’s perfect!

The absolute best place to stay in Cherry Grove, the views are incredible, the house itself is amazing and all that’s included, you have everything you need for the beach!!! My famywill be staying here again for our next family summer vacation!!!

This was a great house and great location to enjoy our Summer Vacation with friends and family.

The house was clean and well stocked with things we needed. The views was breathtaking. We enjoyed fishing every day and night. Caught tons of fish… well enough to eat for 4 days. The neighbor was very nice and polite. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. There was lots of stairs. We definitely got our exercise!!! I will also admit to falling up the stairs and down the stairs, so be careful. I would definitely recommend staying at “The Shanty”!

We had a wonderful stay at The Shanty. The place is decorated so well and there was room for everyone to have his/her own space. Everything you could possibly need is provided for a beach vacation! It has fabulous views from the balconies and we loved the privacy it provided us. I would recommend The Shanty.

You will not be disappointed with The Shanty. Beautiful location with stunning views. Close to everything but far enough away to have peace. My family of 10 (includes a 1 y/o), plenty of space, all of the rooms are decorated with a tropical vibe. Master bedroom is amazing!!! Kitchen fully equipped with anything you need to feed your crew. I cooked every day and didn’t want for anything.

Wonderful property with the best sunrise views! Fishing and swimming off of the sandbar in front of the house was the highlight for my family. I highly recommend this property!!!

We enjoyed our stay very much at the Shanty! Everything was as described and even better. The access to the waterway was great and the morning sunsets were absolutely gorgeous! Best place to stay in Cherry Grove.

We have made numerous trips to this area. The Shanty is our favorite place to stay and our second time staying there; it will remain our top choice going forward. It is clean, comfortable, well decorated, and has a well-equipped kitchen. On top of that is a view that cannot be topped anywhere in the area. We give the Shanty our top recommendation.

Many vacation rentals can be disappointing, but this one was not! We loved The Shanty! Everyone was able to spread out and enjoy all the space it had to offer. The decor is beautiful and makes you feel right at home. It was a quick walk along the inlet to the ocean and we spent many afternoons sitting on the deck watching the tide come in. We will definitely be back!

We loved the beach and the house had everything we needed. The only thing that could have been tweaked was having a more accessible dock for kayaks/paddle boards.

My family and I booked a very last minute trip to The Shanty for my 47th bday and Mother’s Day. We had such a great time!! The Shanty was perfect in every way. This host has thought of EVERYTHING to make the guest’s experience perfect while at her property. The home and neighborhood are great for families with children. My children rode their bikes to the beach and around the neighborhood. They were also able to fish off the dock, and at low tide, there is a beach area right around the dock, where they fished from as well. A word of caution for groups with children. The water behind the house is deep water. Our group learned that the hard way by flipping a kayak out behind the house. While us two that flipped the kayak could swim, we did not have on our life jackets and quickly realized that the water was a lot deeper than we had imagined. The current is also very strong, so please be sure to keep a close eye on any kiddos around the water. Also, when the tide comes in, it does so very quickly, and you will want to make sure that they are up on the dock before the beach area disappears. Also, I know other guests have mentioned the stairs. I have back problems and I was able to manage the multiple staircases. Remember to cut on the outside light if you are exiting the property at night. This is a duplex, but the way it is designed, you have optimal privacy while using the back decks. The neighbor did not bother us at all, and we rarely saw him.

We had a wonderful time celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary at The Shanty! Beautifully decorated and comfortable, owners thought of everything that could be needed. Spent many nights enjoying the beautiful view from the deck. We will never forget this vacation!

This place was exceptional nice - right on the water, bright -airy decor and overall just a wonderful vacation spot. The pier is perfect to walk out on the beach to fish, relax and enjoy. The beach house was stocked nicely with everything needed to make the stay perfect. The owners (Lydia) was very supportive & responsive during our stay. We will be back 😊.

We had a great time at The Shanty. The home was immaculate and so beautifully decorated. The views of the marsh AND the ocean were incredible. We’d love to return and spend more time there.

Awesome duplex literally right on the water…A ton of decks where you can sit and watch the water or sunset…Well constructed place with an fabulous master suite with a ton of closet space as well…It is in a nice quite neighborhood but close enough to everything…We brought our dogs and there were a bunch of other furry friends to hang with on the walks around the beach…10/10 - would stay again

We visited the Shanty for Thanksgiving with family. The house was well equipped and was the perfect space for our family to spread out. I have extremely high standards when it comes to cleanliness and was a little worried since this is a pet friendly rental, but the whole house was extremely clean. While we were there, the kids spent most of their time on the pier or exploring the beach when the tide was down. We caught an octopus, jellyfish, some fish and lots of crabs while we were there…absolutely amazing for the kids to see! We are already talking about when we can book it again.

This house was so beautifully decorated and well maintained! All 6 Adults who stayed gave rave reviews of its beauty, comfort and amazing views. We found walking to the main beach to be quick and an easy on the roads. The Super moon high tides and the timing of low tides did not allow easy access from the dock.

Great place, with beautiful views and artwork. Dog friendly, and well equipped. The space worked well even for our 'remote working' family members too!

The location of the home is absolutely perfect! The views of the ocean, marsh and inlet are amazing! It was an easy walk to the beach. This was one of our favorite vacation spots. This was absolutely the nicest property I've ever rented. First the setting on the inlet in Cherry Grove Beach was breath taking. Wonderful to watch the tide go in and out, wildlife and sunrise and sunsets just marvelous. The house is well appointed with everything you need. I brought my own sheets and towels because rental stuff is usually not to my standards but I did not need to because everything provides was excellent quality... The owner provided all the info we needed and we didn't experience any problems during our stay. Do wish renters could use the elevator because they are a lot of steps but that is my only complaint. Highly recommended.

We had a really nice week at the Shanty. Access to the inlet was awesome and being able to fish right off the dock was a great feature for the kids. The house was very spacious and had everything we needed. Owners were great as well and very responsive.

What a fantastic place to spend a week!! Everything you need to have a wonderful beach vacation. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone and hope to return next year!! Wonderful in every way. 5 Stars!!

We loved having access to the inlet. Such a great sport to take in the sunsets. The house was very nice and just as described in the listing. Would definitely book again!

The townhome is in a great location with spectacular views of the inter coastal water way and the ocean beyond. The house is beautifully decorated with all that you need. The guest closet has everything from 10 beach chairs, to 5 boogie boards, to 2 crab traps and 2 seining nets. We swam in the waterway and walked through the water to the nearby beach on the waterway. Bring beach towels. You do pay to park on the ocean beach nearby unless you carry your stuff across the waterway from the dock and hike down the waterway beach to the ocean. The AC is set at 70 degrees so it’s hotter on the 3rd floor. The neighbor is nice and kind to guests. The owner is great to work with and gives you all the information that you need for your stay.

Lydia was a great host. The communication with her was fast and consistent. It made the entire process very easy. I don't plan on staying in North Myrtle Beach again, but if I did it would be at her rental again. The view was amazing every morning and the breeze created by the car port to the backyard made spending several hours outside very easy for my friends and me. Overall, an amazing experience that I recommend to anyone looking to stay in North Myrtle Beach!

It doesn't get better than this. Spectacular view, great location, comfortable accommodations, well equipped kitchen, etc. We spent as much time on the balcony enjoying the view as we did at the beach. This is our third place to stay at Cherry Grove Beach, and by far the best. Going forward, we will not consider staying anywhere else.
