We had 4 couples and 2 children (2 and 9) in our group. This is a fantastic home with everything we needed. It is in a great and convenient location. We would definitely like to come back to this house when we return

I wanted something special for a vacation for my family and this was a destination no one had been too. My wife, son, two daughters, my granddaughter and two son in laws all came and spent the week. The house was wonderful, had plenty of room for everyone and the beach was spectactular. We had Paterika stock the house with groceries before we arrived as supplies are not what you can normally get in the states but she did a great job. We had a chef come to the home and cook one night, the food was outstanding but as a precaution the flies stormed the house and we had to have an exterminator come out the next day as that was the only problem we encountered but Norm the property manager did a great job in helping us get rid of them. Tims on the bay was a great place to eat and have drink, I would not recommend Splash as it was overpriced and not very good. We took the water taxi to Stocking Island to feed the stingrays, that was great and took some great pictures but Chat an Chill was not good at all. They did not have a bartender and when he showed up, not drink supplies so we took the taxi back and ended up at Tims on the Bay. Overall great trip just be prepared to relax and live the island life, no one's in a hurry.

We had a fabulous two weeks in Exuma at Belle Mer Cottage. The perfect getaway with family or friends. It's one on the nicest places we've stayed over the years in our time on the island. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

We really enjoyed the stunning water and beach literally outside the back door. Belle Mer is situated perfectly on the island for getting to either end and its beach is just beautiful! The bedrooms and bathrooms were all spacious and the kitchen well equipped for cooking in home. We took advantage of the recommendations for in home massage and in home chef. Both were outstanding! If we have the opportunity to return, we’d definitely stay in this home again.

This was such a lovely place to be on vacation. Our host Sam was wonderful, super attentive to our questions and quick on response time. The location of the house was perfect, beach front was so nice and activities on the island were endless. We liked the house so much that we've decided to make this vacation an annual family trip. Great location. Beautiful beach house. Close to restaurants and grocery stores. Highly recommend renting a boat and checking out Stocking Island for the day. Everyone loved searching for sand dollars and starfish. My kids were sad to leave. Great family vacation!

We couldn't say enough great things about this property! We recently stayed a week here for my wife and friend's 40th birthdays. Even though it was off season in Exuma, we still had an increadible time. We were able to spend the week relaxing, enjoying the awesome beach views! Every picture on here lived up to the outstanding reality that it was. This was our first trip to Exuma and not only was the house amazing, the Island and it's people were as well. We are already planning our return!

The property is clean, modern, spacious, and comfortable. We have stayed at this property several times, and it never shows any wear or tear. The house comes with everything you would ever want or need, including masks/snorkels (good reefs right off the beach in front) chairs, coolers, paddle boards, kayaks, inflatables, and shovels.
All bedrooms are comfortable. All bathrooms are clean. We can't wait to come back!

The house had a great layout with all king rooms and en-suite baths which was perfect for our adult children. Great air conditioning zones which could be controlled with each area.
We loved the two full size refrigerators and the wine fridge.
The garage was well stocked with kayaks, paddle boards, floats and even a couple coolers.
Would definitely stay again!!!!

This beach house experience is off the charts! From the exceptional home to the expansive beach, we were wowed from start to finish. It was so nice to be able to step out the back door and walk right into the gorgeous aqua water. There was an abundance of water toys, snorkels, towels, outdoor seating for our group of 9 adults. The fact that each room had its own bathroom attached was especially nice.
It is a short drive to Prime Island Meats and Exuma Markets grocery store. The beds and furniture were comfortable, and the outdoor space was the nicest of any we saw on the two-mile stretch of beach the property sits on.
It was very hard to leave, and some of us even cried as we took one final look around the house before departing.
We had SO many great experiences and memories that we will cherish for the rest of our lives.

We’ve stayed at multiple homes along Tar Bay and I have to say that this is now one of my favorites. The home is furnished beautifully and stocked with all you need for your entire stay. It sits 50 yards down from a small reef right off the shore where you can easily float out and see the beautiful purple and yellows of the reef with tons of fish! A short drive to Georgetown and minutes from the airport. This home has all the rafts, kayaks, paddle board, fishing poles, snorkel gear, kids toys, floaties, etc. to spend all your time there if you didn’t want to go out on an excursion. We made this trip with 6 adults this time (no kids) but the home is perfect for any age group! Also, the front deck is larger than the pictures make it seem. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax with plenty of chairs and loungers! Loved our stay and will come back soon for trip #7 !! You just can’t beat the beauty and kindness of Exuma!! Thank you for having us, Sam……. And the remodel was gorgeous! Can’t lose with this rental!

We stayed at this dream house on a mother, daughters trip and we could not have loved it more. The house is so well-appointed we could not have asked for anything. From the water toys, to the well-stocked kitchen every detail was more than expected. The beach and location are perfect, close to town. Beds so comfy, decor perfectly beachy... Highly recommend!!

The house is amazing. Everything about it is stellar. The beds are so comfy, the living room is so well appointed, the kitchen has everything you could imagine wanting. The bathrooms and showers are heaven. There’s tons of water toys for use in the guest garage. The grill has never been used. We intended to to but never got around to to it. The house is right smack dab on the white Sandy beach. This place is just so cool. We will definitely recommend it and definitely be back.
All that said? It’s unbelievable how responsive and accommodating the hosts are. They will take care of your every need, no matter how big or small, within minutes. They do not hover but they are right there to take care of you within minutes. They are listed as super hosts but they are super super super super hosts. The very best. I recommend this home without reservation. I am sure you’ll have a great time!!!

The Belle Mer Cottage was perfect for our needs. We were there to celebrate 3 birthdays. (16, 75, 80). We had a ball enjoying everything the ‘cottage’ had to offer! It was flawless! Thank you!

Second stay at this beautiful property. Beginning to show signs of neglect. Broken garage door that wouldn't close, grill needs to be replaced, only 3 adult life preservers for a house that sleeps 10, blender leaked and quit working, second refrigerator was not operational. While these are small things, it points to a lack of attention by the owner. Belle Mer has gone from a 10 to a very average VRBO that is getting run down.

The Belle Mer is an incredible property, I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for someone who wants a beautiful beach vacation with their family! The location is as good as it gets, and the property manager Norman and his team are great communicators. We had the house fully stocked upon arrival and had the best week! This is the place to be if you want an amazing experience on Exuma.

First and foremost the property was and is all that it says and looks like it is. Sunrise meditation on the daily. The water was a bit rough as there was a choppy storm front but after a few days she calmed down.
The house was super clean and beds were extremely comfy with linens that rocked our worlds. We had a few Mi or issues that were promptly taken care of by Norm who was rather funny and entertaining.
Check in was easy and check out…the same. The 2 miles of white sand beach was rather empty ….seemed like we had the whole strip to ourselves.
We were a party of 10 women who all agreed we’d come back to Bel Mer Cottage in a heartbeat. Worth every penny.

This is our second time staying at Belle Mer, and we all thought it was more unique and prettier the second time around. The home is conveniently located on Tar Bay and close to Georgetown within a 10-minute drive. The home itself is very comfortable, with luxe bedding in every room. The A/C works well in all rooms, the kitchen is stocked, and the house has excellent ocean toys! We were a group of 8 - 2 families and had a ton of room. Be sure to rent a boat for a few days from Minns Water Sports to enjoy many different snorkeling spots, the sand bar, Fowl Cay and more! We will be back! Thank you!

We loved everything about this house! The location was fantastic! The back porch was heaven and the ocean right there was the icing on top! The bedrooms were great sizes and the kitchen was well equipped! We would definitely recommend this property to all especially if you have kids and/or like to do water activities! The water toys were amazing as well!

We could not have asked for a better, luxury home for our 8 night stay. We had everything we needed and then some!!! The house is right on the beach with ample seating and beach toys. ((Some rafts do not stay inflated, and some goggles need replacement, but even so, lots to choose from)). Our only minor complaint was a weak internet signal. The bugs at dusk can be voracious, so bring bug wipes!! The home is beautiful and furnished with nice pieces. We think a sectional in the living are would have made it a bit nicer for movie/football nights. 😁. Overall, beautiful place, cold AC, great appliances, and a superb home away from home. Thanks for allowing us to experience it!!

We had the whole beach to ourselves once again. Saw a few family’s but it’s always like our own private parade .. even our teenage boys love it and are not bored at all !!
The garage toys kept them afloat , literally ❣️Can’t say enough about this beauty.
She keeps us returning with anticipation and never lets us down …

The home was great and location fantastic. The view is breathtaking and the home is close to airport and Georgetown. As far as the property manager is concerned, we were given their phone # and email address and tried contacting them prior to arriving on the island, by email and texting, to get some groceries, but they never responded. They never came to the house to introduce themselves. In the last home we stayed at the property manger responded quickly and was there to greet us and give us a verbal tour of the island. Had we been newcomers this year we would have been at a loss for where to go. We were there for eleven days. Fortunately we didn’t have a problem except that the room over the garage was too warm for my friends to stay in. The AC unit just wasn’t strong enough to cool it off. So we had to divide up the remaining bedrooms a bit differently in the main house. But overall the home itself was clean and in working order.

Amazing property with spectacular views. Beautiful interior, well stocked and perfect location on the island. Upstairs bedroom over the garage was a big disappointing because it was very hot and the beds are very small for a young adult to use. We made the best of it but the rest of the home is perfect.

Fantastic Sun Rise
The entire family was very comfortable enough room to accommodate all 8 of us. Location was great, close to everything we wanted to do.
Sun deck/beach & kayak's were used every day. Watching the the sun rise in the morning were truly amazing.
Definitely of back once all the Covid restrictions are lifted.
