We enjoyed our stay at Mermaid Cottage. Close to the beach and shops and restaurants. Safe and quiet. Very friendly host and she checked on us multiple times to make sure we are comfortable and if we need anything. Strongly recommend.

We have rented via Mermaid Cottages for past three Fall 7 weeks vacations, and they have provided excellent service. I have SEVERE respiratory allergies and Mermaid Cottages works with my issues to cleaning products and pesticides. They always call to check on us during our stay. Had everything we needed plus some. The home was very clean, the rooms were spacious and there was plenty of storage space to tuck away our belongings. Loved the outdoor patio and small storage area, great for storing all our beach toys. Also convenient to have a hose nearby to wash all the sand off. There is plenty of on-site parking. Easily fit 5 cars on our visit. The beach is literally right down the block. Easy walk for active folks, maybe a tad difficult for chronically ill, older or the disabled. Thankfully, there is drop spot right at the end of the road if they need to be driven. Super easy access . You can’t get much closer than you already are by simply walking out the driveway. Perfect location with restaurants and shops within walking distance as well. The pier is just down the way and the town hosts occasional concerts and actually had fireworks while we visited. Last but not least, I can’t say enough about Mermaid Cottages. Wow! Just wow! They went above and beyond every step of the way. Professional and knowledgeable. Quick to respond and even checked in on us. I would highly recommend this home and company.

My overall impression of the house was that it was in a perfect location and it comfortably accommodated me and seven others. The staff was incredible and responded quickly to a situation and rectified the problem in a professional manner. I look forward to staying with them again!

This place is so unique and cute! the location could not be any better for walking to beach, pier, restaurants. No need to drive and pay parking. one block from the shops. House was very roomy, lots of sitting areas , super great host, made everything easy. Called and checked on us on our second day. We will book this again.

It is near the more touristy side of Tybee, which is OK but I think we prefer to stay further north on the island. It should be noted that there is an apartment attached to this house in which someone lives. We were not aware of that when we rented the house. We have stayed in a few Mermaid Cottages, and this one had lots of space, but was our least favorite. Other cottages felt more newly updated and better maintained. The layout of this house was unique - two bedrooms on one side of the house, with the fridge in the hallway, the kitchen in the middle, and then one bedroom right off the dining area, and the two twin beds in the open loft in the living room.

This was our 1st time to rent with the Mermaids but, we will definitely rent from them again. We love the older, historic cottages. Beach haven was comfortable and cozy. We stayed 4 nights. 1 Role of paper towels, 2 rolls of toilet paper 1 for each bathroom. 2 dish washing detergents House will only get to 72 degrees at coldest temp Nothing had lids, pots, etc. As long as you are prepared you can make due.

Having no stairs to deal with was great for the old folks and the two year old! The house has lots of space, was clean, and the beds were comfy. We had a great time!

This was the perfect spot for the 4th of July celebration, we where close enough to walk on the beach, shop and eat great food . The grill was ready for our 4th of July cook out and While the younger generation walked down to the beach for the fireworks , I was able to sit out in the yard and watch the display without the crowds !! The staff was great at returning calls and emails in a timely manner which made our pre vacation experience a good one too! The rooms were large, and clean. The only “negative” was that we did not have hand soap at all or nearly enough toilet paper. On the first night we ran out of toilet paper and the convenience store didn’t open until 10am the next morning.
