The house and the landlord are terrific. A good amount of space and well appointed. The water view is an incredible jewel changing with the various hours of the day. Birds are amazing. The screened porch alone would make the trip worthwhile. If you like to cook, you may want to pack a few sharp knives and some leftover containers. Otherwise, the kitchen was just fine,

What an appealing beach house! Located on our favorite island, it was light and airy, beautifully decorated, and well equipped. The outstanding view down a channel to the ocean made the spacious porch its outstanding feature.

House was clean. Great location. Enjoyed the screened back porch overlooking the canal. Easy walk to the beach. Kitchen has plenty of plates and utensils. Could use some measuring spoons but other than that was well stocked. Would definitely stay again.

This was our 2nd time staying at this wonderful house. We love staying on the water where we can kayak and paddleboard off the dock. The walk to the beach is easy and short. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

This property has lovely canal views! We saw snowy egrets and great blue herons every day. The dock kept the children happy, and the walk to the beach was very short. My favorite part was the screened porch rocking chairs. The beds were comfortable. My only complaints are poor lighting in the living room and fairly dirty kitchen floor.

We appreciate the extra efforts to restore and keep a beach property clean and updated and the owners have done an excellent job achieving a fresh, inviting home. The large screened porch with plenty of seating allowed our group of 3 couples to enjoy the beautiful sunrises and evenings. Having 3 full bathrooms with 3 king and queen beds was ideal for 3 couples. Kitchen is well equipped, as well as the outside grill and beach gear. We'll definitely return and recommend to family and friends.

Very nice, well-maintained, clean cottage. Excellent location with beautiful view of inland water from the screen porch and easy, quick access to Bald Beach. Loved going up to the crow's nest when the breeze kicked up. And grilling by the water. First time at Sunset Beach-highly recommend both the beach and this cottage.

Great spot. Short walk to the beach and dock for the kayaks. We love being on the bay and Ebb Tide is a perfect house.

We’ve always rented on the southern part of the island and really enjoyed ourselves, but nothing beats waking up every day and enjoying your morning coffee overlooking the channel. The property was very clean with a well stocked rental closet. Getting to the beach was INCREDIBLY easy, with the 12 street access being not only close but very level, with stairs only at either end The few questions we did have were answered very quickly by our host. Overall a wonderful stay and we can’t wait to claim a week again next year!

Wonderful location, very nice house. Only recommendation would be for some kitchen towels to be stocked by the property owners. We knew we needed bath/beach towels and sheets but didn’t think to bring kitchen towels.

Ebb Tide is a great spot! It was very clean and comfortable. The owner was more responsive and helpful than other VRBO owners I have rented from in the past. When Hurricane Isaias threatened to ruin our vacation, the owner responded right away to our questions and had the dock fixed almost immediately post storm. I would definitely stay at Ebb Tide again!

The home was overall very clean, updated and well-furnished. We spent a lot of time enjoying the view from the screened-in porch, the crows nest and the beach (which is within easy walking distance). Dallas is a very responsive property owner. We hope to return to Ebb Tide soon!

We had a great experience. Plenty of room! Great location. Easy 5 min walk to the beach although we rented a golf cart for all beach items. Might suggest replacing outdoor cushions for more comfort but overall very happy. Will hopefully rent again. The owner was wonderful to work with and very accommodating.

We enjoyed sitting out on the screened deck watching the wildlife each day. The dock was great to fish from (although not much was biting) and we rented paddle boards that were easy to put in the water at the dock. The beach is just a short walk away. We would definitely recommend this property.

I simply loved this house! It was a VERY short walk to the beach, yet we had waterway views that were spectacular. We saw great blue herons and snowy egrets every day. The house plan works great, with a sizeable liiving area and a great screened porch.

We had a group of six stay for the week and were very happy with the home. We arrived to a very clean house and entry instructions were excellent. The view from the porch at the rear of the house was spectacular. We saw sunrises from the porch every morning and sunsets from the crow's next every evening. Hope to use this house again

We had a wonderful time at Sunset beach! This is truly one of NC’s gems. The house on the marsh was so close to the beach, but we were also able to boat and paddle board right from the dock at the house. We all had plenty of fun—ages 7-70!

This was our 2nd year at this property and it was great. House has been maintained and taken care of. Location is perfect. They also have a lot of extra things that make your stay more enjoyable (beach items, beach cart, crock pot etc.) We plan on coming back next year!

My husband and I have stayed at Ebb Tide 3 different times and we LOVE it! It is such an incredible experience to sit on the porch overlooking Tubb's Inlet and watch all the WILDLIFE! We see deer, egrits, cranes, blue herons, pelicans, bunnies and lots of fish. It is amazing to go to the beach and not only enjoy the sand and surf but all the animals. We love the dock and always bring our crab cage and our throw-out fishing net to catch bait. The owners have made some really nice updates recently with granite countertops, new appliances and new mattresses. We love the layout of this house as it has plenty of room for everybody in the main living area with the soaring ceilings which make it feel very spacious. There is nice separation for our family which consists of grown children and their significant others and has plenty of room for everyone. I like that they have games and books! Lots of books!! I love to read at the beach and everyone teases me about how many books I read while I'm there. The owners were super nice to work with us as we changed our beginning and ending dates more than once and they were more than accommodating. We cook a LOT when we are at the beach and the kitchen had everything we needed. The downstairs closet had lots of toys, chairs, umbrellas, etc. which was really nice! I love the top deck where you can take AMAZING pictures of sunsets and sunrises. I love the seating under the house where it is cool and comfortable. The beach is a very short walk so you get the best of both worlds - beach and dock play. We look forward to spending many more years at Ebb Tide!!

Overall we had a great week at Sunset Beach on this trip. Dodged the bad weather from the previous week and the week after we left. Enjoyed the great view of the canal leading out to the inlet, however it does smell a bit at low tide, somewhat disappointed that the fish chasing all the minnows would not bite, mostly just jumping mullet which had plenty to eat with all the bait fish. Home was very clean when we arrived and was a good fit for us, families with 2 small children, not too far a walk over to the beach access. Property owner was very helpful in getting us the check in information when we had trouble accessing on line. Also was very prompt at returning our security deposit. Would consider this home again for a future visit.
