The property is in a great location near the beach in beautiful Carpinteria, California. The manager of the property, Don, was very nice and responsive prior to check-in, he even advised us we were permitted to check-in early if we wanted to — very nice! However, the unit itself was just okay. It was no frills and could use a lot of upgrades, but it did meet our basic needs. Almost everything was outdated, it wasn’t very clean, and the beds were so-so. In sum, we were disappointed as soon as we walked into the unit, but we had a great time and, like I said, it met our basic needs.

We had a great break in Carpenteria. The apartment was more spacious than the photos showed. The kitchen had the basic appliances. The beds were comfy and had lots of extra blankets. Communication with Ken was great. Very quick to reply.

Walking distance to everything- downtown, restaurants and around the corner from the beach. Everything we needed. Easy text communication with the manager whenever we had a question.

Check-in was easy, both units as advertised. Interiors/infrastructure dated but clean. Excellent value given location. Walking distance to everything. Would stay again.

Our stay was great. The only problem was when we arrived. I had asked for a downstairs apartment since one of our ladies has trouble climbing stairs. Ken had agreed to that, but when we arrived there had been a change and we were to go to an apartment upstairs. Fortunately I got ahold of Ken and he promptly made the change and we were able to use one downstairs.

I spent 2 weeks in the apartment with my wife and 2 kids. Carpinteria is a lovely destination for families and relax, even too calm and quiet if you look for a nice restaurant for dinner (however Santa Barbara is just a few mikes away). The apartment is nice and clean, and you feel it is or it was not only for rent. However for the price we paid I was expecting something more, bathroom and kitchen require a renovation and I am personally not fan of carpets.

Stopped there for a few days to relax after a long trip from France. Everything was wonderful from the warm welcome to the apt location steps from the beach. The apt is very comfortable, bright with all the amenities you may want! Made it very easy to get over jetlag!

This was our 16th summer going to Carpinteria and the 10th summer at Seashell Beach Apts. We stayed in several different condos in Carp until we found Seashell, it is our summer home. The location is excellent, 1 block to the ‘World’s Safest Beach’, a block to the Salt Marsh preserve, short walk to ‘The Spot’ (excellent burgers and fries) and downtown. The owners Adrea and Herb have been excellent hosts and have always made us feel at home and if there has been a problem, they are quick to fix it. Over the years, we have stayed in several of the apartments, all of which are nicely furnished. One of the nice things about Seashell is the family atmosphere. From when our children were small to now that they are in college, they enjoy their time at the property. They do have a nice pool and barbeque area. We have met many wonderful people while using the grill cooking some fresh local fish purchased at Santa Barbara Fish Market (in the SB harbor), well worth the 15 minute drive. All we can say is Seashell Apts and Carpinteria go together like bread and butter.

We've been going to Seashell Beach Rentals for years for vacation and we've always had a great time! This year was even better than usual. Our apartment was clean, comfortable, and a great value with original art on the wall. The complex is well taken care of and provides families a wonderful place to relax with a pool, patio and flowers everywhere. It's also nice and quiet at night. We love being so close to the beach - it makes it easy to go back and forth multiple times during the day. It's also a short, easy walk to town. Can't wait to come back next year!
