We were in DC for a family wedding and wanted to find a place close where me and my brothers and sisters could stay together. This place was exactly that! The cabin is beautiful and stocked with everything we needed and even a few things we forgot. We had a rainy weekend so weren't able to enjoy the firepit but would have definitely done so if had the chance. The Ireland's made me the hero with my family in finding such a great property to stay at! Given the chance we would definitly go back!

As usual, it was a great stay at the cabin. This was our third time staying there. We love the location. It is a very private, quiet property while still being close to all the sightseeing destinations.

Exactly what we were looking for. A beautiful log cabin just as described in a great location. Communication from the Ireland’s pre stay was excellent.

Our 4 night stay at this gorgeous cabin was amazing. The well built log cabin had everything we needed plus such cute and inspiring decor throughout! We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to visitors of Door Coumty.

We enjoyed our stay. We spent a very relaxing time watching movies, playing board games, and chilling next to the fire pit. The cabin is very cozy and had everything we needed.

The cabin was beautiful, very clean, and well stocked. We loved all the different activities and games, books, and puzzles throughout the house. Location was also great!

We wanted a secluded cabin in the woods and this property delivered all that and more. It was very cozy, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything one would need to prepare a meal including a drip coffee machine. Our favorite room was the sun room which has an electric fireplace that really heats up. It was pleasant to sit in the warm room and enjoy the great views. This was our first time in door county and this property was a great location as everything was only 15 to 30 mins away. The internet was as advertised. Not the greatest, but sufficient to surf the web and update some games. At this property you won't want to be on the internet much anyway.

The cabin was very spacious and woodsy. The owners keep this cabin clean and looking great. Perfect location in the woods and pretty much in the middle between Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, and Bailey's Harbor. Ideal spot for someone looking to see a little of everything.

The property was beautiful and comfortable for our big family. It is well stocked with games and entertainment for the kids (teenagers and younger kids). The kitchen has everything you need for preparing your own meals and the sleeping areas have plenty of blankets and pillows. We loved all the attention to detail to make it a lovely place to not only relax but also engage with each other. The location is ideal for visiting multiple state and county parks!

This place was so perfectly set up, clean, and beautifully decorated. It was so comfortable we didn’t want to leave. Everything you need is there and then some. We normally go to a different cabin each year but we may just stay here again! One very small constructive criticism: have coffee on hand :). Loved it!

We had a quiet and relaxing stay. Cabin is very comfortable and it was easy to find using GPS. It snowed one night so the fireplace was nice to have available. Cabin had everything we needed to make several meals. Scavenger hunt in the cabin was fun. Only thing we wished we could have done was see football game but couldn’t find any channel that showed it on Directv. Minor inconvenience. Streamed it on the ipad. Overall great stay. We would book it again.

Cozy and family friendly cabin that is secluded but close to town. Communication was quick and easy. We loved it, and look forward to returning some day!

The cabin is really stunning. It is so beautiful and we enjoyed looking for all the little details in and out of the cabin. It is also extremely clean and well maintained and the location is ideal. We had a great time there and are hoping to be able to come back in the future.

This beautiful cabin was everything we hoped for in a cozy door county get away! It was so private and tucked away from the business of town but central enough to be able to go out and enjoy the rest of Door county without a drive. The cabin was so clean and comfortable. We had two younger kids and came in knowing the stairs were steep as mentioned in other reviews but they truly weren’t a problem. The whole property is so well taken care of and we would so love to come back some day!

My wife and I just finished a pleasant autumn stay in this modern cabin located in a beautiful and very private wooded setting! The cabin is cozy, very comfortable, and exceptionally clean! The property is as-advertised and it exceeded our expectations. The woodwork throughout the cabin is amazing - it emits that wonderful “up north” vibe. Communication with Sharen was excellent. Hoping this property will be available to us for our next visit to Door County.

The description of the place was spot on. It is a cabin in the woods. So cool. Clean and comfortable. They thought of everything. I would stay there again.

Biggest issue was the bugs.There were bugs between the glass and screen in several windows, both loft and the main level.It seemed like the smaller flying bugs were everywhere.In 20 minutes, my husband killed 10+ bugs near the lamps in the loft.In the lounge, there were 6+bugs on the glass on the door.Not limited to near the windows.We felt there wasn’t a place in the cabin that was bug free/“safe”.We spent our entire honeymoon being paranoid about bugs landing on us,food/drinks, personal care items,bedding,etc. Not for those with sensory or mobility issues.The stairs are very steep.The bed in the loft had noticeable movement.Not for easily nauseous/light sleepers.Mattress pad smelled musty.No real door for loft bathroom.EVERYTHING can be heard and smelled throughout the cabin.Shower fan looked dirty.Loft shower was on the smaller side.Very noticeable religious decor throughout the cabin.Front door hard to close/lock/did not seal well.Rock steps that lead up to the cabin can be difficult and slippery when wet.The tv was hard to figure out.The trash can in the kitchen smelled horribly when we first arrived.The refrigerator made a high pitched noise.It was on the smaller side and made a lot of noise when opening.The toilet on main level had a puddle behind it due to humidity/previous visitor turning off the fan.The door does not stay open on its own and can be sticky to open/close.Hand towels remained damp and never dried fully.Humidity avg 70%+.

We had such an amazing time in door county on our honeymoon and this cabin was a perfect spot. It was in the middle of the woods but yet only 15 min away from a lot of attractions!

Close to everything while offering a slice of serenity. So glad we spent one night enjoying the fire and roasting Marshmallows. You will delighted from the moment you step out of your vehicle.

Exactly what we were looking for as an adult family getaway in Door County. The home is beautiful with all the amenities needed and close to any Door County destination. Would highly recommend.

The Hidden Bear Cabin was a hidden gem. We enjoyed our peaceful time.

As always, Hidden Bear did not disappoint! We have been coming here twice a year for the last 4 years and once a year for 4 years before that and we just love staying at Hidden Bear! Sharen and Charlie are the most gracious hosts and the cabin is impeccable! We will be back next year and hopefully many more years after that! Lisa & Chris

First off, the cabin is gorgeous - very clean and well taken care of. However if you are going for a peaceful weekend, perhaps choose a different place. Each night there was loud music/band performing sounds being carried over. The cabin is further from town so we weren’t quite sure where it was coming from but it was annoying to say the least. Additionally, every room of this cabin has God-filled knickknacks/signs/etc. - it was a bit overkill to be even in the bathroom and see God stuff on the walls. Children and those with mobility issues should be careful on the stairs up to the loft. They are very steep and slippery with just socks!

Communication was excellent. Accurate directions that were very easy to follow. Beautiful location and home. Plenty of room for our family and friends. A true home away from home. I would definitely stay here again.

The cabin is very nice and well maintained in a beautiful quiet setting. The property managers were very responsive to any questions we had. There were several amenities included with this property which were really nice. The kitchen is fully stocked and there is plenty of parking. The main bathroom door was hard to get open and the floor creaks so you could hear every movement on the first floor throughout the cabin. The sofa sleeper was also not very comfortable to sleep on. Perfect property for a smaller group as there are only 2 queen size beds. Overall it is a beautiful cabin and the hosts were great to work with.

The cabin is very nice with many special touches. I would definitely stay here again - but with fewer people. They had everything that you could need for a great stay! The fire pit area was wonderful! We had a total of 4 adults and 2 children. The main bed is on a loft with a steep staircase (too difficult for small kids and elderly to manage). There is a pull-out sofa on the main level, however, it was very uncomfortable. The basement has a futon but there are no egress windows so I do not think that is a safe sleeping space (I didn't feel comfortable having people sleep in the basement). Please keep this in mind if you are booking for multiple people, as there is only 1 actual bed and it is in a loft. They do have an air mattress to use but there isn't much space to put it on the first floor. We ended up using our own inflatable mattresses and slept next to the dining room table.

Absolutely gorgeous home in beautiful setting. Unique details throughout. Communication with host was great. Would stay again.

This was our 8th time staying at the Hidden Bear Cabin. We love the peaceful setting in the woods, morning coffee on the front porch, relaxing in the lounge and s’mores around the campfire at night. We stayed for 8 nights this time, and it still wasn’t long enough. We’re already looking forward to next year!

We had the best time and experience at Hidden Bear Cabin. This was our third time in Door County, but first trying an vrbo. The location was great! Easy to get downtown and travel up to sister bay as well. We enjoyed the activities in the house on a few raining evenings and loved finding all the hidden bears. Would absolutely stay her again! Highly recommend!!

Hidden Bear Cabin was the perfect headquarters for our Door County vacation! We loved the nature setting while being so close to town. We were blown away by the cleanliness of the cabin and attention to every detail. The Irelands were amazing hosts and we would highly recommend staying at Hidden Bear Cabin.
