First let me say being a guest of John’s is like being part of the family. He met us there to walk us through and answer any questions. He left a bunch of little things to make it feel like home. Milk, juice, beer and wine. Also snacks, baked goods and 1 day’s breakfast If you are lucky enough to get a loaf of the cranberry bread eat it up! My family loved it. We had 3 different “families” come together for our family vacation. Everyone had their own room and their own bathroom. The living space was perfect. The deck outback provided hours of enjoyment as we are a family of fishers and we had a blast. We were able to use the poles provided which was an added bonus. We caught several catfish, a puffer fish, a crab and a couple of sting rays. The walk to the beach wasn’t bad as we brought our portable wagon. The household binder was very detailed and had great restaurant recommendations. We will be back.

This house has everything!! The owner, John is absolutely the best host. It's like staying at a fancy resort. The house is lacking nothing!! We will definitely be back!!!

The house was great in just about every way. John and Christa were wonderful to meet and the house included just about anything you could need. If I did nothing but spend time at the house all week, i would have been happy. The deck was wonderful!

Constant breeze in June. The owner revitalized the house with a second story, a massive master bedroom, detailed woodwork--especially notable on the staircase banister. A short walk to ocean. The most detailed notebook with everything to know about the home, places to eat and visit, etc.

This house looks even better than the pictures. Host was incredible. Met us at the property to make sure we knew our way around and we aware of all the amenities. Absolutely beautiful house right on the inter-coastal waterway. Beach was a bit further away than we though, but there was free parking and needed the car to tote all our stuff anyway. You can't ask for a better place than this.

Overall, we had a great stay. The house was beautiful and we all enjoyed the dock area. It was only a 4 min drive to my grandfather's house which was great. We hope to be back!

We had a party of 8 for the long holiday weekend and John could not have been more accommodating! We checked in the kitchen was completely stocked, including the pantry and welcome wine & snacks. Everything we needed was already there. The location was wonderful. A short walk to the beach and the river side was glorious. We did sit and watch boats all morning and afternoon. We played with the kayaks and fishing poles as well. We will be back to this house!

My husband and I needed a change of scenery after dealing with covid for the past year and the Riverhouse fit the bill! Being able to walk out of the doorwall, take 3 steps to the covered dock/deck was incredible. Although the house was awesome, we spent most of our time sitting on the dock/deck watching the boat traffic, fishing and just enjoying the view. My husband caught several small sharks and a few other species. He was thrilled. John was such a great host and we loved the fact that he was very close, just down the street, in the event we had a problem but otherwise he allowed us complete privacy. Although we only used the first floor, it is a large home and could accommodate multiple couples. We highly recommend for a restful getaway. Thanks to John and Christa for sharing!

3rd time visiting. Looking forward to returning

We came here to clean my husband’s mom’s condo. She passed in October. First chance we had. She was a hoarder! After working there hours a day we looked forward to getting back to 23 River place. It was our sanity! Loved everything about the home.

The house was wonderful right on the Intracoastal Waterway. Excellent views from the excellent deck over the water. John and Christa were wonderful hosts and take great pride in their customer service. A+++ property and owners.

John is the consummate host. A very hands on and accommodating owner. The home is fantastic. Right on the water with all the amenities and accessories for a great trip. We boated, biked, hiked, fished and spent time at the beach. The bedrooms are all good size and the master is huge. Overall great trip!

We had a absolute blast doing nothing but sitting on the dock. The house was beautiful, comfortable, and more than fully stocked. The host could not have been more accommodating. We hope we can visit again. Thank you for sharing your home.

Amazing experience being right on the River in a beautiful home with fantastic amenities, fishing, watching the unreal beautiful sunset from the dock and more!! We never wanted to leave the home. Beautiful home, amazing amenities, breakfast fruits, foods and wine were all provided for us at the home by the hosts. John is an amazing host. It was sooo beautiful here we decided to stay an extra night.!! We will be back for sure. A bucket list experience for sure. Heaven on earth!!

We had a wonderful mini family reunion in the Rainey's beautiful home in private area on the Intercoastal! Amazing views of the river from almost every room. The beach is only a 2 block walk. Gracious and kind landlords...welcomed us with a nice tour of home and property. Delicious snacks, wine, champagne, beer and refrigerator full of all breakfast foods. Beds very comfortable and loved that all 4 bedrooms were separate and private. Highly recommend staying in the home!

Great location with fishing right off the deck. This will definitely be a house we include for a return trip.

I seriously could have gone nowhere else then the back dock. We caught fish and enjoyed the river breeze. Beautiful property.

Staying in John & Christa's home was a dream. They are amazing hosts - so accomodating, including a lovely basket of treats and fridge necessities on arrival. I could have just sat out all day, every day, and watched the river flow by. It's a choice location. The home has beautifully appointed details, a fantastic master suite/bath, and comfortable beds. Cons were not many: 1) For a home with 3-4 bedrooms, there is not an adequate dining table either indoors or out. We were just 2 so it was fine for me. 2) The living room furniture, compared to everything else, seemed to need an update in style and comfort. This is a fantastic place to stay in a beautiful area. Thank you to our wonderful hosts !!

The house was absolutely beautiful. Even better then on the pictures. The owners John and Christa were amazing. Any questions or guidance that we needed they were available all the time. We had a long drive from MD and they welcomed us with fruit basket, water, bottle of wine, things for breakfast, everything was there in the house and we didn't have to go anywhere. We all had wonderful time biking, fishing from the deck, kayaking and going to the beech. The house had everything we needed for this activities. We really hope to be back. We came down for a week in February. The home looked even better in person than it did in the pictures. It has ample space in the kitchen and livingroom as well as the 4 bedrooms. The dock was an added bonus that provided an excellent place to start the morning and wind down in the evening. We were even able to see dolphins on a few occasions. The homeowners were very kind and close by so they could assist if anything was needed. They left a nice assortment of fresh fruit for us when we arrived as well as some other items. Everything about this place was perfect for us. I highly recommend staying here! You will not be disappointed!

We were met by John at the home. He gave us a tour and explained everything. He provided us with fruit, wine and all types of breakfast items that we thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated. The home itself is very comfortable but the outside deck was the best feature. We will definitely be back.

Loved watching the sunsets and then waking up to the beautiful views of the river. It is so peaceful and was the perfect location for our vacation. Will definitely return, can't wait to share with other family members. John and Christa are amazing host. We were greeted with breakfast items in the fridge and a lovey welcome basket. This place is a MOST STAY!
