Great house. Convenient skiing. Great service.

We stayed at Base Camp 480 over spring break 2022 and can't overstate the quality of our experience. The WPLC team was very hospitable, communicated well, and were very attentive to us during our stay. The home was very comfortable, clean, and had more than enough space for our family of 7. We look forward to future stays here and recommend without hesitation!

We had a great time at the property all the 8 of us (5 adults and 3 kids). The property was spacious and we didn't have the feeling to step on each others; the various fireplaces were truly enjoyable especially with the cold weather. The location was excellent for our oldest son to go ski. The management company was super easy to work with: we didn't have any requests in regards to the property itself but I did request a late checkout if it was possible; and since the property was not rented after our stay we were able to checkout later than 10am: the extra 90 minutes was truly appreciated since packing when you have to deal with a baby take extra time. So yes I will definitely go back if I have the opportunity

We had a great week in Winter Park! The condo was perfectly clean, location was amazing, and everything worked great. There was an issue with the hot tub which was fixed before we even knew there was a problem. We appreciate the use of the sleds, our kids spent many hours in the back playing in the snow. A few plastic cups to use in the hot tub would have been nice, but besides that, it was perfect!

We loved the house. It worked perfectly for our group and there were so many touches that made it easy and comfortable (humidifiers in the rooms, plenty of blankets, games to play, discounts for snow tubing). The layout was perfect: the kids slept on the first level in the bunk room, and the adults slept on the 3rd floor in the bedrooms. The house was clean and comfortable. The location was not quite what we expected as it is listed as a ski in/ski out. You need to cross the parking lot, make a decent hike uphill in the woods with skis, and then go up several flights of stairs to reach the ski run (and the same trip to get back to the house after). We had little kids in our group so they weren't able to get up there, and the Mary Jane blue run you need to take to get back to the top of the stairs was too difficult for them. I think it would be doable with just adults or older kids, but I definitely wouldn't describe it as a ski in ski out.

WP Lodging staff go above and beyond! It's the small touches that matter. Things like a welcome gift, plenty of little laundry detergent boxes (so I don't have to buy it!), spices and olive oil there in the cabinet (so we don't have to buy spices or just use salt and pepper all week)! Staff were quick to respond by text to my questions. Compared to a certain V*** R***ty company that provided bad towels, no shampoo, no service for my luxury rental....this was a 5 start experience. Plus WP skiing is the same snow as V*** and everything else is about 1/2 the price. Plug for WP Ski School - try First Tracks with Kevin S. Beat the lines, get a lesson!

This is an excellent choice for upscale, comfortable lodging very close to the slopes

We were blown away as soon as we walked in. It’s a beautiful place, very spacious and great for our group of 8 people. The walk to the corridor trail wasn’t too bad - about 5 minutes, but up some steps. The location was beautiful and we had plenty of privacy on the back patio with the hot tub. Communication was excellent and we would absolutely recommend staying here.

We stayed here with another family for a week in June 2020 and really enjoyed the place. We had 4 adults and 3 children and more than enough space for all. Hot tub was great, kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to make meals, and the location was great. We walked to the base camp village daily and made the short drive into Winter Park several times. We also walked to Winter Park - only 3 Mike's on a nice trail. Thus was a great place to stay. We'll definitely think about returning.

Great location for skiing. Base Camp 480 is spacious. Kitchen is great- updated. Nice cookware, cabinets and of course Spacious. Great long dining table for all to sit around. Highly recommend for 4 couples or a large family with 4 bedrooms and 4.5 baths. Very pleased with Winter Park Lodging Company. Very responsive. They did more than just book the place and forget about you. They kept in touch and communicated before and throughout stay with offering assistance as needed. We were a large group up for an extended weekend in Winter Park, and this property worked great for us. The layout and rooms are all very comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked with basics so we could (with a grocery store run) cook dinner every night. Highly recommend! We have enjoyed base camp units for years with family & friends. Thanks for the extra towels & linens. The kitchen could use more beverage glasses, a can opener, new pot holders, & a pitcher. Amazing property and easy access to both Winter Park and May Jane. We had 2 families there and it was perfect!

This was a great vacation. The resort and townhouse was absolutely beautiful. The house was great. It was clean and well maintained. My family loved the gourmet kitchen. The rooms and beds were prefect for a good nights rest. I would highly recommended this property.

We absolutely love staying at Winter Park Resort. The place was clean and beauty was everywhere you turn. We enjoyed walking in the village and the kids enjoyed the alpine slide and ski lifts. We went to Rocky Mountain National Park and fell in love with this park. The streams held nice trout to fish for. There was wildlife everywhere you turned and the scenery was absolutely breath taking. The drive from the resort is only 50 minutes but it goes by fast with the country you see while driving. I would highly recommend staying here. We plan on coming back next year to enjoy this area once again. Manager Comment: How fantastic to spend time in Rocky Mtn. Natl. Park. It is a fun place to visit in every season, so come see us in the fall for elk season. It is amazing to hear them bugle.

We booked this home for our sons wedding weekend. It was the perfect setting with great views, four levels of living, walking distance to Winter Park resort and a great home for entertaining. Our two families of 9 people enjoyed Base Camp 480 for Spring Break 2018. The location was close enough to the resort, access to the ski slopes via the green Corridor run, but yet tucked away from the village for a nice quiet retreat. The unit was in great shape. Some additional non-stick pans would be a nice add and the hot tub temp could have been slightly warmer. Other than that, the accommodations were great. MANAGER COMMENTS: Excellent. We are all so thrilled you enjoyed Base Camp 480 with us. I agree that the location is just right. We will surely add some more non-stick pans and check in on the hot tub to make sure things are working properly. Hope to host you up here again soon!

4-5 flights of stairs inside the house which aren’t mentioned in description but otherwise overall great.

The 7 of us had a fantastic time at Base Camp 480. It was better stocked than any other place we've stayed. All the beds were very comfortable. The hot tub was exceptional. The only negative thing we can think of is the floors could have been a little cleaner and the bathrooms could have had more towels than one per person for 8 days. When we called Winter Park Resort, our requests were filled immediately. Compliments to Winter Park Resort! MANAGER COMMENTS: So pleased you enjoyed your stay with us at Base Camp 480. So sorry the floors weren't up to our normal, shiny-bright standards. We are trying to do our part to "be green". We do hope that guests will reuse and wash towels as needed in properties that do have private washer/dryers. If that doesn't suit your needs you can always contact us if we can bring new towels over to you. We do hope to get you host you again up here in the mountains.
