The condo we had reserved was not available.. Luckily I checked my email that morning and saw where they had changed our unit. The condo they gave us didn't have two king beds which is specifically why we had reserved the one we did. We paid the extra 4% fee to use the hot tub but it was a drive aross the highway and then quite a walk from parking lot. The patio was very noisy with highway traffic.

Great location and property. We all loved our stay. Could see beautiful fall colors from the patio. Girls love the bunk bed. Fully furnished with all supplies. Only thing to note. there were food crumbs on floor and dishwasher was full. had to run it and empty to load ours.

The property itself was very nice however it was not cleaned properly. The master bedroom sheets had hair and stains on them. The master shower also had hair in it on the walls. The master bathtub looked like it had not been cleaned in quite some time. Location and neighborhood were quite nice although would have been nice to know about ongoing construction.

Great stay place is exactly as advertised. First class no issues. Wish we had booked one more day!

We enjoyed our stay at this property. All rooms were nicely furnished and was a good size for our party of 6. Location is directly across the street from Purgatory Resort entrance, so perfect for anyone wanting to visit.

This place has the perfect location, close proximity to the resort and all it's amenities as well as the hiking trails. It was so easy to walk right out the door and hit a local trail with stunning views! We also loved the layout of this unit, perfect for a family. Everyone had their own space to relax. We loved the cozy sitting room off the master suite and it seemed to be the favorite spot for family tv watching in the evenings. Will definitely stay again!

This was a great place to stay. All the luxurys of home. We didn't need to take anything but our belongings and food. The only thing we weren't aware of was the additional fee for pool and hot tub. Also be aware that they are across the road at Pergatory.

This is our second stay in this unit. We stayed here last year and enjoyed it so much, we chose to stay again this year. The townhome is in an excellent location (a bit of a drive to Durango), has plenty of room and is well equipped for a family stay. We highly recommend this location.

Very nice, homey condo. Easy to access and communicate with the very helpful property managers. Comfortable beds and pillows. We were there in the summer. Would be perfect for winter ski trip with the resort across the street.

Everything we wanted. Only drawbacks were outside of the property manager control (e.g. busy road noise).

Had trouble finding the pool! I had to ask a security guard how to find it! It’s not near the condo! You also have to pay extra to use the pool! Would of been nice to kno that info before hand! One of the toilets was clogged. The one in the upstairs master. That wasn’t that big of a deal because there were two other bathrooms. The property was perfect besides those small things. Absolutely beautiful home! The location was perfect! I would love to stay again and definitely recommend!!! ❤️

Wonderful property! Beautiful view and such a nice property.

The condo was everything advertised and more! We have stayed at so many different Putgatory condos but never at the Black Bear location. The three bedroom 2 1/2 bathrooms were very spacious and very well decorated. The two fireplaces, especially the one in the master bedroom, were an added bonus. The view from both decks of the ski resort and mountains were perfect. Having your own garage and driveway to park and unload and load all your luggage and gear made moving in and out so much easier. The “on demand” being free and so easy to use made this location just as nice or even better than being slopeside. The rental agency was very easy to work with and answered any questions promptly. Would highly recommend this property and the rental agency!

Keith always finds us the perfect condo for our group needs, which seem to change from year to year. We stayed in Black Bear across the street from the main entrance this year. I was a little concerned at first because it wasn’t a “ski in ski out” unit but it turned out to be absolutely perfect. We simply walked across the street, hopped on the lift and took off. Keith has always been so easy to get in touch with and is super helpful with everything. Our unit in Black Bear, as all of our rentals have, far exceeded our expectations. It was very clean and very well stocked! We’ll be back and will always rent from Premier Vacation Rentals.

We had an excellent time staying here. My teens were very comfortable and entertained, my husky and I loved tromping through the snow and exploring the area, and skiing next door was awesome. Additionally, we rediscovered how much we like putting together jigsaw puzzles together :) Thanks so much

This was a great little spot for a weekend getaway. We drove down from Denver Thursday evening for the long Labor Day weekend. Place was super easy to find even at about midnight in the dark. Brought the dog with us and it was a great spot for him as well as there is good places to walk nearby. Place was very clean and a great access to local spots such as Silverton and I just a quick drive to Mesa Verde. The nugget and old school house or great little places to eat right down the street from where we’re staying, maybe a five minute drive.

The only things I didn't love, was you are right next to the roadway and it is quite loud, too loud to keep your windows and doors open. Plus we chose this place because it had a community pool, BUT the community pool was the same pool shared by purgatory resort, which is not walkable, plus it was super crowded (not really conducive to social distancing) and not very big. We were really disappointed we didn't use the pool. Had I known about the pool I definitely would have rented a free standing home set off the road with no pool, instead as it would have been similar in price.

Home was lovely, right across from Purgatory, about 20 minutes to James Ranch, Honeyville, PJs, Trimble Springs. Beautiful mountain views and hiking trails.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The company was the bright spot, as they were very professional in communication & tried their best to make things right. However, like with most property management companies in the mountains, the cleaning was non-existent. Our family spent (6) hours, between (3) of us, to get it cleaned. Our fee on the front end was refunded, although it should have been on the departure, too, as we left it just as we cleaned it, with the exception of just a few towels that needed to be dried/folded. This property sits right on HWY 550 and the traffic never stops. Neighbors were extremely loud, especially in 86 Limestone, as it is the largest property. It constantly had children running up and down the stairs/unit and the walls are paper-thin. The H2O tan in this unit is the original from when it was built in 2004. It is an (80) gallon tank, which should offer (45) minutes of hot water, but this one runs out within (15) minutes. Rule of thumb is to replace tanks every (8) years. This was once a nice unit (even with the cheap appointments of fixtures, toilets, etc...), but it is in need of a remodel and update. There is also some electronic bird-noise machine that is super loud and sounds like the jungle. This should be addressed and removed. It is attached to a vent pipe above the unit on the roof. The unit typically gets to about 78 degrees during the day and with every window open, your lucky to get down to 72 by morning light. $1200 would be an acceptable rate for Summer months, but nothing more unless you are going up to act like you are in a college dorm/frat house environment. People in vans camp out on the street in the dirt lot. A Pit Bull was routinely tied up to a tree, unsupervised. Twilight Lake had 30-40 vehicles a day, loud music blaring & millennials hardly wearing any clothing. Not family-friendly. Just go in with eyes wide open, as if we had had the realities of this unit, we would have certainl

Condo was clean, comfortable, and had everything needed. Garage was great for gear. Plenty of closets for storage, large bathrooms, laundry upstairs where you need it. Sitting area and fireplace in master was very nice. Communication with the property management was plentiful and easy. Even on new year's eve, when the fireplace couldn't be repaired, we got a quick response from the office and they brought brand new space heaters. We stayed cozy and had a good stay. Super fast shuttle service even at peak times at the resort, never waited more than 10 minutes for a shuttle. Drivers were friendly and patient with us loading all our gear. Fun to watch the bunny hill out the window. We were able to watch the awesome fireworks for NYE from the porch. Definitely recommend the property.

Reviewer Comments: While the location of the Black Bear Townhomes is very convenient for access to Durango or Silverton and points beyond, the actual unit gets lots of noise from the road when sleeping with the windows open during the warmer months. We found the unit to be in very good condition and from this perspective alone, it was awesome. Loved that access to hiking is very close by, enjoy a stroll around the lake, and great restaurants are nearby. The management company was very responsive as we had a slight hiccup gaining access to the unit upon arrival since we were given the wrong code. We were able to find a quick work around so that situation was corrected quickly. We had a great time and found the unit very well stocked with just about anything you might need.
