The property was as described and is located on Nelson Lake, as weas within 8 miles of Main Street in Hayward. When it is just the 2 of us visiting the area, we will be sure to see if this property is available.

Small 'cabin' with nice deck overlooking Nelson Lake. Perfect for our much needed getaway. Surrounded by beautiful fall colors on the lake with amazing sunrise. Saw/listen to loons and otters playing off the pier. Eagles flying over the lake. Couldn't ask for a better retreat.

The home was very tidy and cozy. It was 10 minutes from Hayward about 20 from Cable. Owner was very responsive. The area was very quite and dark

This place was a much needed place to hang our hat! It was so peaceful and beautiful. We enjoyed it very much. Even got to see a couple of eagles flying over the lake. Would absolutely recommend to anyone wanting to escape for a while…

The place was nice. It has a great view of Nelson Lake. Everything you need for camping by the lake is there. Great fishing right off the pier. Should've booked for longer. Thanks again.

Property was clean. Furnishings were gently used but comfortable. Small cabin but enough room for two people.

This was a perfect getaway and exactly what we needed. Beautiful views of the lake, easy access to atv trails, fishing, just a few miles from town if we needed anything...it was wonderful. The property owners were super helpful, almost immediate responses to any inquiries, they even had a welcome packet waiting for us that included maps of the area, ideas for things to do, contact information, detailed directions if something went array....truly a great experience. We look forward to making this a yearly thing.

Steve's place was well taken care of as usual. We had a great time.

They need to update on what cabin has. There is no washer or dryer in cabin. Much smaller than what we thought. Overall a cozy unit

My family has been coming to a cabin resort on the Lake since I was a kid. This year they didnt have any cabins available. I got lucky and found this gem. Not only was it right down the road from the cabin my dad gets every year. There are board games, kayaks, wifi which dont come with the cabins we usually stay it. Was a big plus. Hope to go back next year.

Stay was short due to medical reasons; would have liked to stay longer. Was told when making reservations would receive senior discount back to account but has not happened yet.

Weather was a bit rough. The cabin itself served its purpose well.

My husband and I really enjoy this cozy cabin on Lake Nelson. This has been our 3rd stay. It is always clean and the host Steve is on top of any questions or concerns we might have! We really relax and enjoy being in Hayward! Thank you Steve for another exceptional long weekend!

We had a fantastic time staying at this cozy cabin. The town of Hayward is quaint with great shopping and fun restaurants! We weren't lucky ice fishing but can't beat the scenery. Don't forget to pack your bedding, towels and coffee! We left feeling refreshed!

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for our winter trip ! The view was great and hosts were accommodating and communicative. It's well kept and the fireplace is so cozy.

We enjoyed our short stay at this property. Very close to downtown Hayward and on Nelson lake. A little more work on our part since we had to supply our own bedding and towels which is kind of a hassle and takes away from our downtime and relaxation. They offer a gas grill which we enjoyed and ate most of our meals at the cabin. We love a campfire but we didn’t see one available at this property. Coffee pot available but you need to bring your own coffee filters and of course your own coffee. Cookware, utensils, glassware, toaster are provided. Bring your own seasonings, paper towels. Toliet paper and Kleenex were provided. Very easy check in and had no issues. Check out Park Island resort which is only a short distance from our stay. Nice place and delicious food. All and all a nice trip.

We stayed here for two nights while getting our engagement photos done in Hayward. Steve and Mary’s property was easy to get to and so cozy. They have that beautiful stone fireplace that faces the lake which was wonderful and one of my two favorite amenities. The second being the bed! It was so comfortable due to the memory foam topper on it. Very clean place with friendly owners. Would definitely go back for longer and in the summer to utilize the lake more!
