We loved the house! Everything was seamless and easy Thanks for the wonderful hospitality

Everything we needed for multiple families to spend time together in Tahoe. Well appointed, spacious, and well located. Only suggestion is to anchor furniture and put child locks on window upstairs , it was hot and we couldn’t open it for safety reasons. Peg was great to communicate with and clear about her expectations. Would recommend!

Very nice cabin, fully stocked kitchen, all the toys for having fun. Ping pong table, great deck, access to all the Donner activities. Great host. Minuses: there is a nice wood burning chimney but the house has a smoke smell, if you mind that.

We really enjoyed watching the snow fall and cozying up by the fireplace! The house has a nice layout for families and friends with plenty of space in the living room and dining room, and an enclosed loft sleeping space for the kids and three bedrooms downstairs. We enjoyed cooking meals in the well-stocked kitchen and the close proximity to Tahoe Donner ski resort as well as cross country and snowshoeing options. Would definitely stay here again!

If you need a place to stay that will accommodate a large family, this place is perfect! The cabin was very clean, cozy, and it literally has everything you need. It felt more like being at home than in a vacation rental. There’s spices for cooking, a ping pong table, a hammock to relax on, you name it! The neighborhood is in a perfect location too, just a hop and skip away from local grocery stores and just a few miles to Donner Lake. Peg was also a pleasure to work with and she communicated very well from the booking process all the way to check out. She was always just a phone call away. We will definitely consider staying here again in the future.

The house was cozy and perfect for our crew -- two adults and 4 kids. Kitchen (and entire house) was well stocked, the bbq was easy to use, the fireplace had plenty of wood, and Peg (owner) was super responsive and helpful. Easy access to roads and the roads were plowed during the storm right before we arrived. Great getaway. Thank you.

We had a wonderful stay at green gables over a long weekend. Easily accommodated two families of 4, had a well stocked kitchen w spices and cooking supplies, movies and games, and a cozy fireplace. Also close proximity to all provisions. Peg is super easy to communicate with and manages the whole process like a pro. Would defn recommend.

Our family had a great ski weekend and we’d definitely rent this house again. I’d love to see it in the summer as well.

We had a great stay at the Green Gables Mountain Lodge. The location is great, it's about 2 miles from Truckee downtown and in a fantastic neighbourhood that is beautiful and peaceful. From inside the living room and three of the bedrooms, one looks out upon the woods and it was a peaceful experience watching fresh snow falling and deep snow covered trees and grounds. The kitchen is very well equipped and had all that we looked for. Great set of serving vessels, plates and cutlery. There's a fantastic collection of books and we also enjoyed the classic tapes upstairs for a VCR. Perfect holiday experience! Peg was an extremely gracious host and when I-80 got shutdown due to snow, she allowed us to stay an extra night at no extra charge. One note: the garage will probably not accommodate an SUV if it is carrying a roof carrier. We had to take down the carrier in order to get the car into the garage when it was snowing. You will be fine if you have a low cargo box, ours was the Thule Force XT L and on a Forester it was about 3 inches too tall.

Clean, tiddy cabin. Fully stocked kitchen, plenty of firewood, parking for 5 cars, 7 if smaller cars. Comfy beds, maintained well. Family loved it, just the quick getaway our family and friends were hoping for.

My friends and I so enjoyed our stay at Peg's property. We liked that the house was equipped with everything we needed -- even sleds and saucers. The check-in process was incredibly easy and the binder had all of the answers we needed.

Green Gables Mountain Lodge was the perfect place for our family to spend our winter vacation. The house was perfect, the neighbors were friendly and there was lots of snow to play in for the kids and adults. We will be back!

We had a wonderful Christmas at the Green Gables cabin! It was the perfect size for our extended family, with various size beds and even sleeping pads and pack n plays for the younger children. Kitchen was very well stocked. There was even a sloped hill within feet of the cabin where our kids got to sled. The whole process of booking the cabin was smooth. Peg was a gracious host and extremely communicative through the whole process. I really cannot day enough nice things about her. She went out of her way to make sure we had all the information we needed to feel comfortable and prepared. Thank you Peg! We hope we can come again soon!

We really enjoyed the lodge. It was cozy and charming. A lot of space for 4 families, convenient kitchen, games for both adults and kids.

What fun we had at the Tahoe Cabin. This place has everything, is centrally located to many activities at Donner and was such a great place for our family to stay. We will definitely be back & book this cabin again. You should too!

Beyond grateful for this week We were able to have our entire extended family here from Indiana to celebrate my daughter's high school graduation. This is something that my daughter has dreamed about for the last 3 years. Visiting Tahoe has been on my parent's bucket list for over 50 years. Cannot express how much I enjoy staying at your cabin. I am so relaxed when I am there. I play hard and rest well. Don't have to think about a lot and pack a lot as it has everything you could need and then some. I love being there for all seasons. Look forward to going back in June.

We are a group of friends from San Francisco and we had a great time staying at Peg's vacation home while we went skiing and snowboarding at Northstar. The house comfortably fit us all and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The location is very convenient, with Safeway a short distance away, and a short drive to Northstar. Peg was very prompt and detailed with all instructions, The house was easy to find and the check-in instructions were clear. The welcome book had all the details needed, so we didn't need to contact anyone for anything.
