Had to clean the deck chairs and table and grill before we could use. Dead bugs on ledge in the bathroom not cleaned prior to arrival. Washed bath mat that was very dirty. Garbage can had not been taken to the curb for at least a month cleaned up after raccoons every morning.

I fell in love with this beautiful little cabin, nestled atop a cliff with a spectacular view of Lake Cumberland! I plan to return to the area and will absolutely stay here again.

This is our second time staying at this adorable a-frame. It is a cozy quiet space at the end of a street overlooking the lake. The hosts are very responsive if there is an issue and we will definitely book another stay in the future.

Very clean and well maintained. Loved the story of the house that the owner left in the house detail binder. Was a good central location to visit some great spots on the Lake. Those details are in the binder. Weather was bad the first day there so everything was wet and we did not get to spend much time on the deck. The property is an a frame and may be a little tight in spots for above average height or general body size. We made it work for us and it was just fine.

Quaint, quiet, natural getaway. Our only issue is the trees in the back are overgrown and need to be trimmed. They obstruct what is a million dollar view of the lake! If the lower canopy of the trees were trimmed to open up the view, the time spent on the deck would have been spectacular!

This cottage provided a great home base for exploring the surrounding area. At the cottage, we enjoyed the indoor gas fireplace and the outdoor deck and firepit overlooking Fishing Creek.

Great place for small groups. Bedrooms and loft felt private. Slope of ceiling might make it a little challenging for adults to climb stairs to loft but definitely doable. My father in law stayed in the loft and he is over 6ft. It would be perfect for kids. The deck is gorgeous. Living area is comfy. Layout makes it easy to hang out, play games, and cook all together as a family. Bathroom door is barn style and the track could probably use some tlc. The shower is lovely. Would absolutely stay again.

This was the 3rd time my sister & I have stayed here for 3 days & nights while visiting friends in the area. Every stay has included clean, comfortable and convenient amenities (linens included), and we very much enjoy the large deck with a charming view of morning mists and flaming sunsets reflected over the winding tributary of Lake Cumberland to enjoy while grilling out, or while just sipping wine around the fire pit. After dark, the dead end lane is quiet, and the house offers indoor entertainment with strong wifi, smart TV, movies & games before retiring to well appointed beds. We’ve stayed several times now and no doubt will do so again.

This cottage was very clean and cozy. My husband and I like to hike, Whitewater raft, and explore. This location is close to Cumberland falls and also Mammoth cave which is an hour and a half away. We also saw Lincoln's birthplace on Juneteenth. All are locations we wanted to go to were 30 minutes to an hour and a half away from the cottage. It was nice to come back and relax in this cozy cottage after our long days of exploring. Check in and check out for super easy and the owner was highly attentive.

The cabin was a perfect rental for the two of us! It was close to the marina/restaurant and was clean and cozy. We brought a load of firewood and enjoyed our evening fires in the firepit right on the deck with the lake in sight. Hoping to bring our own boat next time! Thanks for your hospitality!

We wanted to check out Lake Cumberland for a few days of spring break. The weather wasn't the best, but the rental was just as we had hoped. It was absolutely the cleanest VRBO we've ever stayed. I am a bit OCD about floor cleanliness and mop-wiped the floors upon arrival. The wipes were still white when I finished. The cleaning crew should be commended for this outstanding effort they give!
Overall, we would stay here again if we visit the lake in the future.

It was a cute A frame house. Very clean. The deck was my favorite part. Close to lots of interesting and fun things to explore. Check out the very helpful binder that the hosts put together if you want ideas on activities. I would rebook in the future without a doubt!

My sister and I have friends in the area and have stayed in this rental twice and will do so again; it’s much more charming and comfortable than a hotel suite for much the same cost for 2 to 4 people. It’s within a few minutes of restaurants, boat docks and parks, with beautiful views of the lake from the deck, which is well equipped with a dining table, lounging chairs, a firepit and a grill. The inside is cozy and both bedrooms are full sized rooms with full sized queen beds.

Relaxing lake front getaway was exactly what my husband and I experienced staying at this house. The house had a great lake view that we enjoyed in the morning with our coffee and in the evening by the fire pit with our glass of wine. The house was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, and it had everything that we needed for our stay. My husband and I will definitely rent this house again in the future.

We had such a great time at Fishing Creek Cottage. Communication was great, the property was exactly as advertised- maybe even better in person it’s the sweetest A-frame tucked in like a tree house, and it was the perfect place to be for a long family weekend of boating from Lee’s Ford Marina!
