Large home, close to beach, everything we needed

The property was as described in every way. Plenty of room on multiple floors, with lots of comfortable seating. The outdoor areas are wonderful and it’s a very short walk to the beach. Highly recommend this property for your family!

Beautiful home with everything you could ask for from a vacation rental. The additional living area on the second floor was the perfect place for the kids to hangout, and the kitchen had everything you could want to cook for everyone. Tucked in a quiet street, and just a short walk to the beach. Would recommend to anyone, especially people vacationing with multiple families!

This property was amazing and perfect for our family of 14!! The beach was just a short walk away and we really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Plenty of space for everyone and we couldn’t have loved our stay more. Great hosts answered our questions and were so kind. Thank you for this wonderful time!!!

The Twins In. Is absolutely amazing! The pictures do not do it justice! Everything about it is wonderful. Some other reviews have mentioned that you don’t need to pack anything for the beach or pool and they weren’t kidding! Tons of sand toys and pool toys plus chairs and beach carts. The kitchen is well stocked as well. I can’t recommend this house enough. Would definitely book again!

We have been renting on the Outer Banks for 20+ years. This is by far the best stocked house we have ever had. The closet with pool and beach toys and chairs was so nice to use. It is much larger than it appears. We loved the floor plan. Large bedrooms and convenient 1/2 baths where some floor plans wouldn’t have had them. Watching sunrises and sunsets from the crows nest.

We stayed at Twins Inn for a family reunion with my siblings. The house was beautiful with everything we needed. We all loved the house and the surroundings.

The house was a perfect layout for our family reunion! A large kitchen and living area provided plenty of room for our party of 12 to comfortably eat (and play). Bedrooms were all very lovely. As the first to arrive, we had the first choice of rooms, and it was a difficult one because they were all so nice. The house was clean and very well stocked with plenty of plates, cookware and utensils. Two refrigerators and two dishwashers were extremely helpful and a nice touch! The house was an easy walk to the beach and to the town of Duck. I can highly recommend this place and thank you for giving us a wonderful Outer Banks experience.

Neta’s beach house was a perfect spot for our family and friends, we had more space than we needed! The house was equipped with all the kitchen supplies we needed and all of the bedrooms had bathroom suites which was awesome. The patios and rooftop deck were the perfect hang spots. The weather was too chilly for the pool but we made good use of the swing set with the kids! The beach was steps from the house. We also loved being so close to downtown Duck; we rented bikes and rode down the bike path every day for some ice cream and to play the park! Thanks for a fabulous stay!

Twins Inn is a beautiful and spacious house nestle among shades of live oaks in Southern Shores. We had an amazing 4 night stay. The house was perfect for our couples reunion. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed for dining. The beds were comfortable. Everyone in our group agreed on how great the house was. It was a wonderful place to stay!

There were 14 in our party and this property had everything listed in the description PLUS ALL we needed to enjoy our stay except food and clothes. It was spacious, bright and nicely decorated. The two living rooms were a hit for our young and old. Large backyard and decks were awesome and being close to beach, shopping and eateries were a bonus. We look forward to returning!

I cannot say enough good things about this property. It was spotlessly clean. Very easy to find an access. The beach was a very short walk down the road. And the beach itself was very quiet as it’s only accessed by privately owned homes. The owner was wonderful to communicate with. The house itself is huge, so much bigger than it looks in the pictures! We didn’t need to bring any beach stuff at all! They had multiple beach wagons a huge tub full of beach toys about eight boogie boards lots of chairs and more! If you book this property you will truly not be disappointed. The location is also fantastic. Just north of Kitty Hawk and just south of duck. You get the best of both worlds!

Twins Inn provides fabulous lodging! So many "pluses" to mention: location, beach access, house layout, well appointed kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, and ample parking (we had four cars), just to name a few. The owner is responsive and helpful - she's a real gem!

Thank you, we had a wonderful stay! The house is beautiful, comfortable, and very clean. We did a lot of research to find the perfect home for our vacation with my parents and three young children, and this property exceeded expectations. The house had everything needed (e.g., puzzles, toys, large beach carts, beach chairs/umbrellas, lots of sand toys, boogie boards, playset in the backyard, outdoor shower). It had plenty of space to spread out and the kitchen was well stocked (e.g., spices, oils, utensils, two toasters, two dishwashers, two fridges, two trash cans). It is on a quiet, residential, dead-end street, so the short walk to the beach (~5 minutes with young children walking) was ideal with no traffic and large beach carts to easily tow all our gear. The communication with the owner could not have been better. We hope to be back soon.

We loved our stay at Twins Inn! There were 12 in our extended family group. The house had the perfect number of bedrooms and bathrooms for us. We could all spend time together on the main floor without feeling crowded, and we loved the well stocked large kitchen area.

We loved this property! The space was perfect for our group. It was clean, spacious and the kitchen had everything one would need for cooking! It’s close to the beach, restaurants and shopping. The hosts were awesome and we will definitely be back to visit!

The property is a real gem. It's even more beautiful and convenient than the pictures indicate. The huge beautiful yard and pool made for an excellent easy spot to cool down, talk, and play when we didn't want to pack for the beach. My 3 year old daughter learned to swim with a floatie in this pool, which makes it an extra special memory. Also, we had the pleasure of meeting the owners in person when we checked in. Neta is incredibly friendly and generous, even asking about tennis and giving us passes to park at the court nearby. We spent several evenings after the kids were asleep stargazing from the crow's nest, and saw many shooting stars larger than anything I'd personally seen before--even as someone who went out of his way as a kid/teen to watch meteor showers in the Shenandoah Valley. The home is walking distance from the beautiful town of Duck - we walked up on a Saturday to grab Duck Donuts for my daughter's birthday instead of fighting the tourist traffic, and it was a great trip. Amazing stay, highly recommend!!

The house was perfect for our large family vacation ranging from toddlers to great-grandparents. Very close to beach, has all the beach gear you’d need, and a ton of space. Neta was a great host and very responsive all along the way.

We couldn’t be more happy with our stay. We had 4 generations staying at the house from 1.5 years old to 90. They had everything you’d need to cook a masterpiece and for the young ones to be safe and have fun. They had all kinds of pool and beach toys, beach chairs, umbrellas, beach carts. Basically everything you need to have a great trip and with a short walk to the beach. It’s a quiet street and the beach wasn’t busy either. We’d HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place and hope to come back someday.

Upon entering the home, we know right away that I had chosen the perfect getaway home! We very much LOVED that everything we needed to feel comfortable, to cook and just enjoy was provided. We will definitely look into renting again! Thanks so much!!

We enjoyed the property quite a bit. 12 adults all said that it was perfect. Everyone enjoyed the amenities and the fact that everyone had their own bathroom. There were plenty of spaces to spread out when we wanted to and lots of dishes, glassware and pots and pans. The walk to the beach was easy and the crows nest was a key feature to many.

Accurate description and pictures. Very clean property. No hassle process without unnecessary agreements like with many other property owners these days. Only necessary communication and proactive messaging about very minor internet interruption from the provider. Quiet neighborhood and tons of beach equipment provided. I strongly recommend.

The house was beautiful, very spacious, and a short walk to the beach. It was early April so the pool wasn’t open yet, but we spent a lot of time in the hot tub. The owners reached out to us as soon as we booked it to share their cell phone numbers and offer help if we needed anything and they were very friendly! We’ve never stayed in a more “well-stocked” house. The kitchen had every pot, pan, and utensil you could possibly need. In addition to the two knife blocks full of quality knives, the drawer below had a full set of brand new razor sharp chef’s knives. The outdoor beach closet was stocked with good, comfortable backpack style beach chairs from Tommy Bahama, a ton of beach toys and rafts, and 3 beach carts! We brought and rented bikes and it was a short 10 minute ride into duck. One thing we really loved when compared to houses closer to Duck was the privacy. There are high, dense trees all around and even in the off-season you can’t really see the neighbors on either side. I suspect that since the houses are spread out a bit more, there would be less crowds on the beach during the peak season as well. The house was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, and every room had a TV. They also had a good supply of board games in case you have a rainy day. We will definitely be back next year!

We had an amazing visit to the Twins Inn! Our group was two families with preschoolers, a toddler, and an infant. We so appreciated the play set in the backyard, the baby gate on the main floor, and the books and toys at the house. House was well appointed and a short walk to the beach on a quiet street. The owners went above and beyond! We had an incredible vacation!

This is a beautiful house in a tranquil and private setting just a short walk to the beach. It has a great backyard, all the pool toys and plenty of space to relax and enjoy a vacation at the beach. All the rooms are spacious and have their own bathrooms which is quote nice. Highly recommend!!

What a treat! We've never stayed in Southern Shores before but will be returning to this amazingly located house. Right on the edge of Duck and a super short walk to the beach. The house was Fabulous! Couldn't have asked for more... the bed linens and towels supplied and ready to go, and a small supply of kitchen items lined up for me. Made things so easy and convenient. I loved the open style of the layout, and each bedroom has an ensuite which is just wonderful. Best surprise of all for my girls... the large backyard with play set, pool, and hot tub. We also so appreciated the friendly and helpful message from the owner before our check-in. We absolutely and totally recommend this house and intend to be back, both summer and fall.

My family was looking for a short beach vacation and a change of scenery since we've been at home for 6mo thanks to covid-19. Twins Inn not only provided a beautiful change of scenery with a large pool, hot tub, and playground, but was a very short walk to the beach. Our toddler loved the large yard and we greatly appreciated the baby gate at the top of the stairs. The home had nightlights that made getting up for our infants overnight feeding a breeze. The kitchen was fully stocked for all your cooking and baking needs. Everything you'd need for a beach trip was provided from chairs to umbrellas to toys. We would happily stay again and would recommend to friends and family.

We had an amazing two week stay at Twins Inn. The house was extremely clean and comfortable, and everything we could possibly need was already there. Beach chairs and umbrellas, sand toys, pool rafts, puzzles, books for kids and adults, throw blankets, a fully stocked kitchen, and much more. With two young kids, having the in ground pool, hot tub, and play set in the yard was key, since our kids don’t last more than a few hours at the beach! We also enjoyed sitting and rocking on the middle deck, eating dinner outside on the upstairs deck, and the views from the rooftop deck. In addition to the house being wonderful, the location is also excellent. We enjoyed walking only half a block to the beach (which was not crowded at all), and being so close to Duck for the donuts and the boardwalk. We would recommend this property without reservation, and will definitely be back!

Neta does a wonderful job managing Twins Inn. The house is huge, with great living space, tons of bedrooms, a pool and a backyard to boot! That's certainly something you don't get very often in OBX. She was super responsive and helpful to any request we had. I wouldn't change a thing!
