Was looking for something close to the slopes and this was perfect!! We had a great time and the house is lovely!!

Great place in the fall in Va Close to UVA but surrounded by numerous other things to do Resort has numerous amenities and the area is chalk full of wineries cideries & breweries House is Hugh and in great shape

We loved staying in this beautiful mountain home and it was the perfect spot for us nestled in the mountains of The Wintergreen Resort surrounded by trees. The kitchen was stocked and had everything needed to cook gourmet meals. It was very clean and felt like a home away from home!

Lovely mountain home in a very special setting . Watching the sunrise from the large deck and listening to all the birdsong was magical. Enjoyed the many walks/hikes and breathtakingly beautiful vistas. The perfect place to make memories during our small family reunion.

This house exceeded our expectations. It was very clean, had everything we could have possibly needed, including a drawer of storage baggies. Switches were well marked. We had a lovely fire on a stormy Saturday night. Saw three dear right outside the back door but sadly no bears. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with our dear friends. Thanks so much.

We had a great time at this cabin. Everything was clean and there was alot of thoughtfulness in the items supplied for use in kitchen, living space, and bedrooms. Loved the cozy couch and fireplace. Great views. This was our first time in mountains or a cabin and it was a wonderful experience. Thanks guys

Our vacation here was amazing. We stayed for two weeks with our children and grandchildren and we were all over the top happy with the place. We rarely left the resort because everything we needed was right there. The house is well furnished and stocked. The hiking trails are right outside your door. We will definitely stay here again.

My family and I enjoyed a lovely stay on this mountain home! House had everything we needed, was warm and cozy and easy access to great hikes which we enjoyed even in the rain!

The house is in a great location and each bedroom has a bathroom which was a plus for us. The kitchen is also well stocked with appliances, dishes and anything you need!

Jack and Isma were the perfect virtual hosts. Communication was frequent and timely. Everything was as described, and more. The kitchen had everything; we were a bit embarrassed at some of the things we brought with us that we’d not had at a rental before. And the second floor deck was used all the time except for sleeping. An enjoyable mountain respite from the summer heat of home.

We very much enjoyed our stay. Hiking trails, caving and tubing are all nearby. We even got a visit from a local black bear just casually strolling by the property. The local ranger was trailing the bear in a marked truck just to make sure everyone was safe. Overall we had a great time!

Loved the house. The grill was really dirty...caked on grease so it had trouble getting hot. Really needs to be scraped. Everything else was terrific...well stocked kitchen, for sure.

Very nice house setup great for 3 couples or a family - we did not ski due to the warm temps but enjoyed all the breweries and distilleries in the area and the views were nice!

We had 3 families and it accommodated what we needed. The house was perfect. The only thing I would say needs changed is updated pans. Thanks, 3 families from Destin, Fl

A perfectly beautiful and yet a cosy spot to gather with family for a long Thanksgiving weekend. Highly recommended!

We used this for a two day staff meeting. Worked well for that purpose. Having three master bedrooms was perfect. The internet was spotty, but we got by. It's in a nice area for walking, and the accessible views are spectacular, but be aware that the house sits on a heavily wooded lot with no view until leaves are down. Cleanliness was medicore. Upon arrival the smell of bleach was so strong that we had to open all the windows. Exterior needs paint and powerwash (mildew stains on siding). While the main living area was in good shape, the bedrooms are not at the same level. They need painting and freshening up. Overall, it was good, but not great.

We enjoyed the house very much. I am not sure when the last rental was but some “dusting” is in order. Overall we were very satisfied!!!

great place for a large family with young children still in the house and adult children living away to all come together in one house and enjoy the holidays. The house was as described and the resort area had great hiking and views.

We loved staying in this cozy retreat on the mountains during our stay. The duel fireplaces were a must during our frigid single degree temperatures and made our stay during Christmas so homey. Sunrises were so delightful especially the one Christmas morning with a little dusting of snow. It was nice having little things like spices, toiletries, laundry detergent around the house to help us out too! One thing to point out to other guests, is that there are no TVs in the bedrooms, just the two family rooms. And we brought our own blue tooth speaker for music as we could only find older cd radios/speakers. So cozy, I want to come back to that fire place!

This was the second year in a row that we stayed here. Jack and Isma are fantastic homeowners of a beautiful mountain-side home. It's very spacious and perfect for multiple families and comes with many amenities including towels, sheets, blow up mattresses, washer, dryer, fully stocked kitchen, cable, gas grill, firewood, and a great sound system. There are wonderful hiking trails nearby and it's a short trip down the mountain to Wintergreen (about 5 minutes). Jack and Isma are extremely responsive (within minutes most of the time) and are flexible with special requests. Customer service is top-notch and we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. We love this place!

Beautiful home with a fantastic view. Very clean and comfortable. Instructions were all clear. Easy to manage kitchen where you can look out at the view! This homeowner was quickly responsive to our needs.

This was a perfect house for three couples, two with young kids. We each had a bedroom with attached bath, and the two kids could sleep in the quiet bedrooms downstairs while the adults stayed up and talked on the main floor. The kitchen was well stocked with good quality pans, basic spices, and even tupperware for leftovers! Cooking for the whole group was easy, and because the kitchen was so open, the cook was never cut out of the conversation. The open plan was great for feeling like one big group even while we split into smaller groups to play games or sit by the fire... oh, and having the wood and firestarters included in the rental was great. We had a fire going within 20 minutes of arrival! I especially appreciated that there was a whole-house humidifier. Being able to walk to the hiking trails made it easy to get out the door without having to worry about car seats and who would drive. We didn't ski, but had fun watching the skiers from a grassy side slope. There were two very minor things... the sponges for the sink were not new when we arrived, and we never figured out where extra toilet paper and paper towels were kept in the house. Honestly, other than those two minor details, this cabin was perfect!

House was open and warm with two wood burning fireplaces and ample wood. Basic essentials were provided (soap, cooking oil, spices, fire starters, etc). Kitchen was large and open, which was great for our large family gathering.

Very nice house, and accurately described on VRBO. Owner was very nice to work with. A beautiful fall weekend with our children and grandchildren. Especially enjoyed the cozy fires in the beautiful stone fireplace. Wish there had been more of a view of the mountains, but I am sure there is when the leaves are off the trees. Nice, big windows!!
