House WAS clean, nice bedding, and even a massage chair that was entertaining. Beach location is very close, but house didn't go into rules or access to it in the notebook that was there. Or how to get to other beaches nearby... Most would just google it, I suppose, but google doesn't know everything... As a first time VRBOer, communication /charges on card through the app was confusing, and procedures and processes to reassure that the house was reserved, and that we would have keys, access, etc. at the time of arrival was somewhat nerve racking. The extra fees that aren't mentioned with the initial rental price are something I did not applaud. To end positive, it was cute in its uniqueness, LOTS-O beds, quiet in the neighborhood (we went in late September. The Shoreline area is homey.

We very much enjoyed our stay and the host had everything prepared for us. The check in/out process was very easy as well!

We had a brief stay. The house was clean and slept a lot of people . Very comfortable

What a charming and quaint house and neighborhood! The house fit the ten (10) of us comfortably. The kitchen was fully stocked (pots/pans/utensils) for all our cooking needs. Loved grilling out (the grill could use some maintenance) and eating on the back deck. The shed had an adult & kid kayak and a kayak trolley which was so helpful. There were two (2) paddleboards (both were missing fins from, I imagine, being dragged). There were plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas. It was a short walk to the beach and Rte 1 is only a short drive to grocery/package stores and Dunkin'. Laura responded quickly to all of my queries. I loved the location!

Our family just completed a wonderful stay, all the kids had a fantastic time. The house was very conveniently located w/ lots of sleeping arrangements which made it nice for our larger family. We will likely try to rent again.

We loved our stay. The home looks small from the outside but it's so spacious. The flow of the house was very opened and comfortable. The home had everything listed and more and was very clean. The beach was minutes away. It was quiet and the best getaway. We will definitely be back.

Location, location, location: this beach house is in a quiet neighborhood and just 3 houses from a private beach area. The beds were comfortable, and the linens were all clean and comfortable. The house itself was in need of repair. The back of the house was missing full walls of sidings and tar paper, blinds were broken and dirty and windows would not open or fell down when trying to open. The back hall bathroom did smell, the washing machine smelled of mold, and neither could not be masked. TVs did not work; however owner attempted to resolve the issue, but we could not accommodate a meeting time. The kitchen cabinets were dirty inside, the refrigerator leaked water, and much of the future in the living room was broken and could not stand on its own. With a little attention, this place would be a gem.

The location is amazing and its in a sweet little community. All the beds were comfortable and no one was crowded in their bedroom. All linens were provided which was a big plus! We never had any issue getting in contact with the owner and always a quick response! However the home does need renovations. The front door we found very difficult to properly close and lock up, the kitchen floor is very unstable and we think that this is how the refrigerator shelves were always wet (we think it was leaning forward). The back back bathroom had an odor we couldn't detect. And the hammock in the back was not safe at all. My niece tried to lay in it and almost fell threw. Regardless of the issues with the home it was adequate for our short stay. We all enjoyed our time there and the main point for us was a family reunion and that what was most important!

Went for a long weekend getaway and had a wonderful time. The house was clean and a great location. Went for a great long walk by the marsh to the public beach. The Clinton outlets are only a few minutes away. Thank you Laura for your hospitality. A great stay.

Cottage is perfectly located in a private, quiet neighborhood and within a one-minute walk to a private beach. The stone fireplace is a very nice amenity. The loft, with three additional beds, is more appropriate for children and not adults as the super low ceiling makes it impossible for adults to stand. Laura, the host, responded quickly to calls/questions.

Enjoyed walks to the beach.

Property was passable but greatly in need of sprucing up. No propane for outdoor fire table. Front door does not lock properly. Stove needed cleaning. No hooks in bathroom. Windows very difficult to open and close. Blinds totally in need of replacement. Stairs to upstairs lift polished with oil products making it extremely dangerous to climb stairs.

We had an amazing time at "The Count"! The house is your typical cottage with some modern decor and the most comfortable updated beds! The shower was one of the best most relaxing showers I've ever taken as well. We were so close to the beach and the area was so quiet all day/night long. It was the PERFECT place to get some R&R. DEFINITELY will be back again! Thank you, Laura!

We couldn't have planned anything better thanks to my wife. We just wanted to relax without noise and a crowd. It was perfect. Hope to go back next year. A great place to disconnect.

This pet-friendly cottage was ideal for our family vacation! BBQ, a delightful patio, and a quick walk to the beach, what's not to love? Everyone had a great time! I only have a couple of recommendations, there's a need for a TV user manual. We'd lose signal periodically in the living-room and we never did get bedroom TV's operational. Also, an 11AM checkout would be better as we were hard pressed to get all the linens, washed, dried, and put away by 10 (fortunately we're early risers) so we made it. I'm a bit of a neat-freak and while cottage has a broom there's no vacuum so I placed a pail by the back door. Family all left their shoes outside and came in rinsed/barefooted -- made for easy cleanup upon exit but that's just me. Hope to come back in the future.

Impressive!! Clean,Comfortable,home away from home,restful quite,great neighborhood,a little disappointed in private beaches,Town Beach Excellent and the path that leads right to the Town’s Beach is Beautiful,we reall enjoyed our vacation!!

Enjoyable week with nice accommodations.

House definitely needs some maintenance. We had to clean on arrival which was unexpected. The location and neighborhood was great. The house was lacking maintenance but nothing we couldn’t work around. We made the best of it and had a great time

The house isn't really clean. The dishes smelled funky, and we needed to wash them before use. The ninja blender smelled like mold. The floor didn't feel very clean (and it was broken a bit). There was a wet towel in the washing machine which smelled like it stayed there for days. There was a capsule in the Keurig machine. As for the property. We weren't given beach pass. The host said it will probably be ok, but it made it a bit unpleasant to go to the beach because we were afraid someone might ask to see it. The private beach is actually a pretty small piece of sand, and lots of seaweed. Although it can get nice during low-tide, as you can walk to the middle of the bay. We tried to use the amazon stick for the TV and it didn't really work.

Cute place for a nice staycation. I see other comments mentioning lack of updates however considering location and how much room we had to accommodate family that didn't even make a difference. Very roomy. 2 private beaches walking distance from home. Kids had fun collecting shells and finding small crabs. Close to town if you wanted to grab a bite to eat. Owner was very accommodating and easy to contact for any questions I may have had. Would definitely return.

The welcome from the host by text is quick and kind. The house is fully equipped and welcoming, cosy and clean. A very pleasant home to stay with many amenities. A lovely place to enjoy.

Cute little beach house in a quiet, walkable neighborhood. Steps away from 2 small private beaches, dog friendly and has a legit massage chair! Need I say more! Also, Laura was excellent in her communication with me, which is always nice.

Lots of beds. Family friendly. Nice space to visit with a group.

We are familiar with the area and were visiting family for the holidays and needed more space. The location is the best feature of the cottage. I admit to being confused at the positive reviews. A little effort would go a long way. Linens were provided but wish we brought our own.

Neighborhood is charming. Walking distance to a beach, near outlets and restaurants. Neighbors greet you if you chose to go for a walk to see the spectacular view including sunrise and sunset. If you read the rich history of the area, you’ll realize that the homes are old unless it was knocked down and replaced by mini mansions, which you will find speckled throughout the area. The house could use a paint job and some additional facelifts, but nothing that stopped my friends and I have having a wonderful girl weekend shopping, eating and sitting around the living room catching up.We are considering returning in the summer to enjoy the beach.
