When severe storms and possible tornadoes hit the area during our stay knocking our plans were a little derailed. Unfortunately, the power was knocked out and conditions after the storm made it not possible to do most of the outdoor activities we planned during our stay so we opted to head home a day early. The owner's were very understanding and kept in touch with us as we tried to figure out if power was likely to return during our stay and are working with us to come back another time, hopefully with better weather! Under different circumstances the cabin would definitely be a great, somewhat secluded, get away by the river and we look forwadd to coming back.

This cabin was awsome, being on the Current river. Property was beautiful along with the cabin. The communication was spot on and the cabin was clean.

This place was awesome made our 2024 solar eclipse that much better. Kids loved the location. This is a nice peaceful ocarion on the current. The owner was very responsive and communicative. Would definitely stay here again. Thank!

Very friendly and accommodating hosts

Very comfortable, clean cabin on the bank of the beautiful Current river. Great layout with 2 nice bedrooms upstairs. We had a great day kayaking down the river and fishing off the dock in front of the cabin. The host was great and this cabin is a real gem. It was fun to unplug from suburban life and enjoy a few laidback days in this beautiful part of the state. We hope to return very soon.

Its a beautiful cabin

I cannot recommend this cabin highly enough. My partner and I stayed two nights here for a weekend getaway, and loved every minute of it! The cabin was perfectly clean, the wifi worked well, and the bed was super comfortable. The host was so communicative and helpful. Waking up to a view of the sunrise over the river every morning, eating meals on the decks in the sunshine, lounging on the pier and watching the water rush by—it was all so peaceful. Plus, there are so many beautiful hikes in the area! We chose to do the Greer trail (stunning!) and McCormack lake for lunch one day, but the Irish Wildnerness is also a great option. You won’t regret staying here if you want a relaxing break with beautiful views of nature and comfortable living!

Want to go back when we can enjoy the river. We needed a getaway and thought this cabin was cute. Very peaceful in the off season. The owners were easy to reach and communicate with, when the smart tv was smarter than I was…Everything you would need for a relaxing stay. Doniphan is close by for groceries. Would go back anytime of year, for a long weekend.

Perfect for 3 guys for a fishing trip.

August and September tend to be really crazy busy times for moms. My best friend and I just needed to get away from the city and the daily demands and we had a great stay. I am a fan sleeper and the amount of fans on the property to keep air moving was wonderful. The Current River is so gorgeous and the weather was perfect. Communication with Steve was great. Would definitely recommend for a long relaxing weekend or if you love fishing. :)

This place is awesome!! So comfortable, clean, relaxing and beautiful! I can't wait to do this again. The owners were very kind and helpful. We had so much fun and left feeling relaxed and blessed.

This was a great place to getaway for a few days. Cabin was clean and perfect for what we were wanting. Owners were super nice and made sure we had what we needed. Highly recommend.

This cabin was perfect get away. We had a wonderful time. The only downside is there was a lot of boat traffic on Saturday. If you stay here visit the Lemonade House Grill in town, you won't be disappointed.

When we got there the upstairs was too warm. We contacted the property owner and they promptly brought extra fans. Everything was provided. We thought grill was charcoal but it was gas and not useable. We loved the deck and sitting out listening to the sounds of the river and birds while having morning coffee.

Host was very nice and prompt with any questions. Lots of items to make your stay comfortable. Very reasonable price! The view and location is amazing!

If you want to get off the grid, this is the place. Beautiful river view, working grill, refrigerator, bed, country road entrance, fire pit and silence. Perfect!

Great people to work with

The area and location are beautiful but there are a lot of stairs and the stairs going up to the bedrooms are steap and noisy

Beautiful & peaceful setting. Comfortable & well-equipped cabin. The river is gorgeous -- we kayaked, fished from the dock, listened to & watched the endless current, & just rested. All communications with Steve were quick, thorough, & appreciated. Thank You So Much from our family of four -- we made memories.

We spent most of our time in or near the water. Had to drive a little ways to get to the nice spots but wasn't anything we didn't expect. The evenings were great around the cabin.Peace and quiet.Just a relaxing environment.And that's what we wanted.The owners were very easy to get hold of and very quick to respond.

Great location and exceptionally clean. Exceeded our expectations!

Our stay at the cabin was great! Location was so beautiful and close to the river! My husband and son had a great time fishing off the dock. We kayaked and we were able to float right back to our cabin. The area had many trees and it was comfortable sitting outside by the river the mornings and evening even in 100 degree weather. The cabin has all the kitchen equipment we needed and Steve the owner even sent down a crockpot for us to use. A great time was had by all!!

Had a great time amd the property was gorgeous. Lots of things to do and see on both the property and in the area. We will be coming back soon.

No issues staying here. We enjoyed the relaxing environment. Great dock area and steps to get in and out of the water.
