We ate about half our meals in the condo during our stay so this was our perfect home away from home. As for Rodney, what can we say!? He was amazing, a difference maker really, and in the end our family now has a new friend. He was more than we could have asked for. Rodney was knowledgeable, reliable, helpful, responsive and very collaborative. He guided us to build a vacation that added structure with a purpose while enjoying time to relax, soak up the weather, the beaches and the ocean. With Rodney's help we ate at many great restaurants, saw the island and made sure we had timely and safe transportation wherever we needed to go. Covid has made many reevaluate their priorities and almost everyone seems to conclude that experiences and memories are right at the top of what living is all about. We came to try to find these special moments. Rodney allows these special memories to be created by being the very best host in the business - providing customer service which is unsurpassed - a level of care you will unlikely encounter anywhere else. Everything is taken care of so perfectly from the moment you land on the island. From the best tables in every restaurant to the very best advice and itinerary you could wish for. The penthouse is simply amazing, everything you could ever want is there - so stylish and cool. So much care put into every single part of it - from the flowers to the amazing art Rodney has created. The view from the balcony is simply unbelievable and we are miss it so much. Sitting on the balcony in the morning when you walk up is very special indeed. Personally I have also never slept any better in the comfortable beds! I cannot recommend this experience in any stronger words. Extraordinary island, extraordinary apartment, and a most extraordinary host. My wife and I flew from the States to this sanctuary on March 1st. Upon our arrival, Rodney met us at his penthouse apartment and cared for us like it was a 5-Star resort. Inside we were greeted with the best the island has to offer; it’s best chocolate, bread, coffee, rum, and an assortment of drinks and other edibles. The apartment was comfortable, spacious, and extremely well appointed. Every room had fresh flowers from the island that were replaced weekly. My wife and I travel often using Home Away and AirBnB hosts. One of my pet peeves is when we have to supply the entire apartment with the necessities such as wash soap, toilet paper, etc. Rodney had everything available in duplicate. Even when we purchased something we thought we needed, we found the same product available somewhere in the apartment. Rodney doesn’t miss anything. He made every one of our dinner reservations at the best restaurants. Even when we procrastinated, he found us table. He arranged all of our transportation with Derek Skeete, a taxi driver (if Derek had a website I could write a book regarding his efforts, service, and care). When the washer stopped working, Rodney had people there the next day to fix it. Nothing was difficult and we were never inconvenienced. The view, the pool and the people at Beach View were friendly and exceptional. My wife and I planned this trip for 1 ½ years to stay for a month and we had to leave early due to the coronavirus pandemic. Rodney and I had long talks regarding how the pandemic would affect the island. He was more worried about his friends and the island as a whole than he was himself though he too would experience the wrath of this pandemic. When my wife and I were discussing leaving, Rodney offered to make sure we would be housed if we couldn’t get home (think about that…he knew us for a few weeks and he was willing to make sure we were cared for). I want everyone reading this review to plan a stay with Rodney Arthur and the people of Barbados. In light of the world chaos around us, I couldn’t have been more impressed with how Rodney orchestrated our stay. My wife emphatically stated….”we get a do over”. Choose Rodney.

Fantastic, contemporary penthouse - Splendid View, Relax & More! Immaculate and stylish with everything you need. Well appointed furnishings, full kitchen and perfect balcony for ultimate relax and sunsets. Several lovely pools on-site and easy beach access. Rodney, the manager, is beyond helpful, professional and amazing! He knows this island paradise, offering an abundance of excellent insider knowledge and guidance. The trip was definitely dazzling with his suggestions and active help.... he goes above & beyond!! We golfed at Sandy Lane and Royal Westmoreland Golf Club.... stunning views with generous fairways. Our family enjoyed a private sunset cruise/ snorkeling with the sea turtles/shipwreck - arranged by Rodney. Perfect way to end our charming week. Many fab ($$$) restaurants within walking distance or short taxi away. Just saying.... 1 week is not enough time to explore everything! The island is larger than most think.... so take extra time to visit the Southside eateries/shopping/surfing scene. Don't miss Friday Fish Fry at Oistins with local arts vendors. St. Lawrence Gap and Maxwell's Beach has many more casual dining options and local flavor. Perfect for families, girls' trips or couples.... it has so much to offer - with relaxation and sunsets premier!

It’s hard to put into words how magical our experience was in Barbados at Penthouse 309 in the Beach View hotel with Rodney as our host. This was a holiday when all the vital ingredients came together to create memories that will last forever. The ingredients: Barbados - simply paradise! Beach View - Such a great place. The pools are amazing. Everything is so very clean. The staff are incredibly friendly. The facilities are exceptional. Incredible views from all angles. Trust me when I say that you can pay 3 times as much and you won’t get half the quality. Penthouse 309 - this is the start of the special, secret ingredients which made this trip so special. The penthouse is simply amazing. So very beautiful in its decor - modern and sleek. From a massive curved screen TV (with Netflix etc) to every kitchen facility you could dream of, the quality is outstanding. The beds are so comfortable along with the linen. Each of the 3 bedrooms are so spacious The color scheme and furnishings are wonderful. It felt instantly like a home from home. The balcony and the views are beyond spectacular - trust me, you won’t forget the first time you see the ocean after opening the large patio doors. It was a pleasure to wake up every morning to that view and a delight to watch the mind blowing sunsets Rodney - This is the man who makes all the above come together. This man is unlike anyone you will EVER deal with in any realm of hospitality. A true hero. A gentlemen beyond words. Such a talent. Trust me - I run a property management company and I know detail and great great people! This is a man who cares so so deeply about his guests and strives for perfection in every single area of what he does. This eye for care & detail was felt during every second of our trip. The penthouse for example is looked after so meticulously by Rodney - it’s as if he’s foreseen every possible want or desire you may have. It’s amazing really - only a pure talent would be able to do as he does. For over a year before the trip, Rodney was in touch offering kind advise and help. During the trip, every single detail was organised perfectly by Rodney. From all our restaurant bookings (and changes - sorry Rodney!), activities, car hire, what beach to go to daily (!) and just priceless advise on how to navigate the island. We are truly grateful for all his help - life is about creating memories and Rodney has been instrumental in making these memories so special. Thank you!!!!!!

Top notch! From the the location, amenities, view, and more. The unit is immaculate, gorgeously designed yet comfortable. Rodney is a gracious, amazing host, going above and beyond to provide a concierge level of service. I highly recommend a stay in 309.

The first thing that attracted us to the property were the pictures in the property profile. Let me tell you that your jaw will literally drop when you see Penthouse 309 in person. I guarantee you will have one of the best experiences EVER! First, the owner and Superhost Rodney, is godsent. We now consider him part of our family! He responded to every single request and question as we were planning our trip and all requests while on the island. We were traveling with our mothers and wanted to make this an unforgettable time for them. Rodney swooped in like a super hero! We asked him to help us plan a special surprise for them with balloons set up in one of the bedrooms. He went above and beyond providing balloons, a bottle of champagne, a card and a beautifully packaged gift. We were floored! Then, he helped us set up the best spa day we've ever had and a special celebration dinner. All of his recommendations are spot on! Whatever you need, Rodney delivers. Now about the Penthouse. It is so clean and fresh. When we entered, the essential oil diffuser was on and it felt like we walked into a spa! The decor... EXQUISITE. There is so much attention to detail!!! Rodney provided a thorough tour of the Penthouse explaining and pointing out every amenity available. And there are many! Every direction we turned during the tour we were saying oohs and ahhs! The large, fresh tropical floral arrangements in each room from the kitchen, to the living area, to the bedrooms...A++! The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to make meals, snacks, etc. There was coffee, tea, and many other essentials. The refrigerator was stocked with water, assorted juices, sodas, and BEER! There was even a bottle of rum and wine on the counter. Wow! Rodney also provided an assortment of fresh baked pastries, chocolates, a mini rum cake, and fresh fruit. Each bathroom is stocked with essential toiletries, extra toilet paper, wet wipes, towels, etc. In the laundry closet, there are lightweight Tommy Bahama beach chairs. We used them at the beautiful beach across the street. Don't miss going there. Oh my goodness! There are also three pools to enjoy on property, one of which is visible right from the amazingly furnished balcony! Oh and the sunset! It is visible right outside on the balcony. What a sight! We were planning our next trip back to Penthouse 309 before we even left! Book now. You will be happy you did! Thank you Rodney for one of the best experiences!

This exceptional property was made even more exceptional with having Superhost Rodney catering to your every wish. The apartment is beautiful with a very well equipped kitchen. Paynes Bay is lovely and so very convenient to many activities. If you are going to Barbados you certainly need to consider staying at #309 Beach View. Believe me when I say, you won’t be sorry.

From start to finish there was just no faulting our holiday in Barbados. Rodney and his designer penthouse at Beach View made our first time in Barbados an experience we will never forget and a destination we cannot wait to return to. Rodney's communication is just simply amazing, with instant responses from the beginning Rodney helped us arrange our whole stay. He had some great recommendations from restaurants to activities and also landmark tourist spots to visit on the island. Rodney's kindness and thoughtfulness did not go unmissed - when we arrived my dad was greeted with a 50th birthday cake and card - he was ever so humbled, from the initial get go we knew we was in safe hands with Rodney! As soon as we walked through the door we was amazed at the apartment. Just like the pictures (well ever the better) the view just blew our breath away; it is simply amazing - looking over the beautiful west coast you can sit for hours and admire the location. The apartment is extremely clean and equipped with all appliances; anything you could possibly need Rodney has it covered. The lovely maid visited the apartment in the mid of our trip, she was really great in giving the property a freshen up and providing us with new linens, towels etc. We cannot rave about out experience enough! My parents and myself have travelled to many places but we can honestly say Barbados felt like home and place we will continue to visit for years to come. The people, the traditions, the beautiful beaches and not to mention the rum punch... you could just go on and on. The property was perfect for my 2 daughters and me, but the service and responsiveness of Rodney, our host, was over-the top. The condo included everything one could possibly want, including a huge layout of snacks, treats, wine, and fresh fruit (at no additional charge), but what impressed us the most was his willingness to make every reservation, connection, and recommendation for us throughout our stay. Rodney was on hand to welcome us, to show us around when we arrived, remaining contactable throughout our holiday, making sure we had everything we needed – and we did – the apartment has literally everything you need for the perfect holiday Located just a short stroll from bus stops that take you up and down the West coast to some great beaches and the supermarket in Holetown, there are several places to eat and drink in walking distance There are two pools at the complex, plenty of sunbeds and a great café Rodney knows Barbados, whatever you’re looking for, restaurants, taxis, beaches – anything! We used his recommended taxi service that helpfully stopped via the supermarket on our way in from the airport and that we then booked for an island tour and an unmissable Friday evening in Oistins Thank you Rodney - we had such a great time, we’d not hesitate to recommend Rodney’s place and we’ll definitely be back!

Great 3 bedroom condo . Rodney was an amazing host . Providing great tips on restaurants, excursions , taxis and any questions. The condo is clean and provided everything that our family needed . Pins coladas on the first day by the pool and great restaurants for the rest of the stay made it a great vacation.

Rodney was great to deal with, he met us when we arrived and kept in contact throughout our stay. Apartment is a home decorators dream, well set-up and very fashionable. Location on the west coast in fantastic, a 5 minute bus ride into Holetown with buses every 5 minutes or so. Lots of restaurants in Holetown, or the Cliff across the road.

We thoroughly enjoyed the stay at Rodney's place in Barbados. Condo had great layout, was super clean, quiet, had a well stocked kitchen and amazing view. Pool side was nice (people are friendly but mind their own business which was awesome). There is a great little restaurant on the property that has good food and is really convenient for a casual meal. Rodney was amazing host and we can't say enough about him. Tons of communication in advance. Helped guide us on everything from restaurants to car rental companies and was very accessible when we were there as well. We are a family of 2 adults and 3 children and I would highly recommend staying in Apt 309. From the moment we booked Rodney (our host) contacted us to see if he could help with anything and nothing was too much trouble. He was an excellent host with great restaurant recommendations and helped us with our airport transfers and car hire. The apartment is perfectly located with access to a lovely pool and the beach - ideal for adults and children - and there is also a restaurant and beauty centre in the hotel complex for the adults to relax too! The apartment is maintained to a very high standard with all the appliances that you will need for a weeks stay. Overall, I could not fault my stay and would highly recommend Apt 309 to anyone who wants and lovely place to stay.

From the very moment my vacation began until the end everything was simply amazing! Rodney was such a pleasure to work with and was an amazing host. With such a busy schedule and planning this trip with four other young ladies, details that I may have forgotten Rodney was sure to include in our many emails. Upon arrival we were picked up and greeted by O’Brien who was equally as wonderful in helping us with transportation anywhere we needed to go. Although there is a cafe on site we chose to stop at the grocery store to stalk up on essentials and snacks. Once we arrived to the condo Rodney was there to greet us with light refreshments which I was not expecting but once again such a warm welcome and kind gesture and provided a quick tour of the place. I thought the pictures I had viewed for months were beautiful but seeing everything in person and standing on the balcony with the perfect view of the ocean and pool took my breath away! There was more than enough space between the 3 bedrooms, main living room and large balcony area that we didn’t feel over crowded. The new renovations done recently with beautiful closets and new furnishings throughout the condo was was the icing on the cake for me. Rodney was also great suggesting and helping book reservations for activities around the island. The Mount Gay Rum tour and sunset cruise with cool runnings are memories I will never forget and made my birthday that much more special. Spa services from Tutch Spa also recommended by Rodney was another pleasurable experience. Kal and team created a spa like atmosphere right in our condo and the services were splendid. Dinner at Cin Cin which is less than 5 minutes away overlooking the ocean was another highlight and the food was absolutely amazing. I can’t rave enough about my experience. I’ve traveled to many places but can honestly say Barbados felt like home and place I will continue to visit for years to come. The people, the traditions, and the beautiful beaches I can go on and on. If you are looking for a place that is peaceful and beyond beautiful this is definitely it! I can’t wait to return. My wife, daughter, and I stayed here for 4 nights. The condo was very clean and well stocked with all the amenities we could want. The wifi was good and worked perfectly. The property was very nice and clean with a great pool and 24 hour security. The location is convenient to Holetown and it's many restaurants and shopping. Out super host, Rodney, was great and responded to every request we had, from restaurant advice, to taxi drivers and beyond. We will be back!

What an amazing place. Rodney was exceptionaly helpful from the start of our holiday, he is genuinely good man who wants you to be happy and enjoy your holiday. The apartment is superb, location perfect, beachover is paradise and a few steps more and your at Payne’s bay ( tamarind hotel and the house hotel). Restaurant : the cliff restaurant is walking distance, You are only a bus ride from, Il tiempo, holetown and the lone star restaurants too. We were a family of 5 with teenage boys 15 and 17 and they loved it just as much as we did and their sister who’s 9 too. Thanks Rodney we were sad to leave We will be back

This condo was nothing short of amazing! I went on a birthday trip with 5 of my friends & everyone loved it! There was enough room & space in the condo for all 6 of us. The condo literally had everything you need in it, my favorite spot was the balcony with the beautiful view. Rodney was the best host we could have he took care of everything before we arrived & while we was there. We will definitely be back!!!

This location will not disappoint in the least. The view is exactly what you see in the picture. The location was fabulous. Rodney "Supa Host" and Shem were wonderful hosts. They were available whenever we reached out to them. Awesome!!! The condo was very clean and had all the amenities that we needed. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes, pans and appliances. The pool was always clean and never crowded, the food at The Hut was delicious and the beach across the road was perfect. There are chairs and umbrellas in the condo to take over to the beach. Plenty of restaurants are within a 10 minute or less walk; The Cliff, Daphne's, Roti Den, De Clay Oven and more. The "Yellow Dollar Bus" picks you up right outside the condo. Super convenient. We would definitely stay there again.
