The house was well equipped. Beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed. This house has a great vantage point, and we had plenty of comfy chairs to look at the changing weather. Also, it was a very short walk to the beach.. We’ve stayed in a lot of places on the Oregon coast and this is one of our very favorites. We hope to come back.

I love this house. The 175 degree view ( floor to ceiling windows) of the bay and ocean is fantastic. I could just stare out of the windows all day. When one stays in the winter you never know what you are going to get with the weather. It's a daily surprise. The kitchen is complete with everything I need to cook nightly including a crock pot for making a winter soup. Lots of pots and pans options. The coffee pot is cheap and does not go off automatically like mine at home. So don't leave the house with the coffee pot on :) I love the granite counter tops. There are so many different cups, mugs glass to choose from. I love the wide selection of wine and champagne glasses. Thank you. The whimsical coffee cups are a joy in the morning. The beautiful dining room table seats a crowd; it also doubled nicely as my desk as I am in Tillamook County for work. There is no bathroom upstairs so one must descend to use the WC. You will get your steps in staying at Garners.I like having the bedrooms downstairs, so the rooms get dark at night. the master bed has seen better days and it might be time for a replacement. The bathrooms are basic with no room for my makeup or toiletries. I am here for work, so I appreciate a rental with hangers for my work clothes. All in all I was very comfortable. Sarah is the best hostess/ property manager ever!!!

Garner’s Getaway is a fantastic rental with a spectacular view. The location is perfect, right across from beach access. It’s away from the bustle of city life, but with access to a few restaurants nearby. It was a very stormy weekend and we enjoyed watching the storms roll in and out. We had enough small breaks in the weather to get our dogs to the beach and we did a short hike at Cape Meares. We were happy to have a house that allowed our furry friends. We were able to cook meals and found everything we needed. In the evenings we had a fire and played some cards. The home was clean upon arrival, and we found it to be stocked and comfortable. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this house to friends and family.

The proximity to the beach, is amazing. The neighborhood is quiet and charming. Would I stay here again?...I would but I might bring a cozy blanket and try the bedroom without the attached bathroom to see if the other bed was more pleasant. Main one is squeaky. Oh, and bring really supportive cozy slippers- concrete floors is perfect for this setting but hard on the feet!

Great location to the coast beaches. This house is on the the bay where it meets the ocean. Lots of fishing, calming and crabbing on the beach and by boat at all hours of the night. Always something to watch while sitting on the deck. A house is being build across the street which will impact the view. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could want. The mattresses need to be changed out. Lots of steps without a bathroom on the upper level where the living space is. All of this did not make our stay less enjoyable. We had a great time.

Drove up to the great home. Had to wait about 20 minutes to get in. Home was beautiful and well equipped. Chose this place for crabbing in the bay. Kitchen had all the supplies we needed to cook/prepare the days catch for 8. Beds very comfortable and nice that bathrooms next to beds on same level. Walking up steps and turn into kitchen the view of ocean is breathtaking. Highly recommend and would definitely come back!

Everything was great! Perfect spot to watch the waves, enjoy the sunsets and paddle the bay! Kitchen is well stocked and beds were comfy. Only complaint is that the master bedroom/bath was super dark and a bit musty. Other two bedrooms had views of the bay and sun coming in. Clean place and rental company is top notch with clear communication (+kindness too)!

The home was perfect for a family of 7 - great space in that upstairs is wide open with wonderful views of the ocean and bay, and the bottom floor has the bedrooms for some peace and quiet! Less than a minute walk to a great beach for activities. Would highly recommend!

Property needs some tlc the sinks would drain seemed clogged the slider screens need replaced and the stove fan didn’t work and there were birds living in it the small inconveniences didn’t make our stay bad at all just needs some little things to be perfect we will come stay again it was very peaceful and nice

Our group of 6 with a dog had a very restful stay. Sarah is exceptionally hospitable. We really like the bay view and ocean view. Well-designed floor plan with all bedrooms located in the same floor. Showers are great. One bed is too soft and a space heater did not work. Although the staircase is a bit steep to walk, with care, it is still worth the climb to enjoy the spectacular view! We will return!

My Mom and I stayed here for 3 nights for some relaxing mother daughter time. We really enjoyed this house! We got everything from snow to sunshine and could watch it all form the living room. The house was clean and well stocked. The layout is good and the beds were comfortable. It's also right across from the beach access.

We stayed here mid-week for some great crabbing- I messaged the owner and got a very prompt response regarding bringing a boat. The view was great and the home was well stocked with puzzles, games, and cooking items. The beds were comfortable and we appreciated the amenities.
The only feedback I would give on improvements is regarding the television and bedroom lighting. We wanted to book a place with two TV's as we have kids who wanted to stay separate from adults so that they could watch television/movies. We brought our gaming system and fire stick so that they would have their own fun away from the adults, but we discovered the TV in their room was not connected to anything except a VCR. There was no cable and the TV was pretty old, so it did not even have any ports or HDMI to connect to. The kids ended up staying in the living room watching really annoying stuff while we cracked crab, so that was a bummer that they did not have a kids area they could go to.
There is a large pole light directly outside the guest bedroom window outside, we were blasted with light all night. Make sure you bring something to cover your eyes as its pretty bright in that room at night and there are no black-out shades, just standard blinds that let the light in.
Other than that, we had a good time and loved the view the most.

House location right across from beach access. BEAUTIFUL VIEWS. Came with family, 4 adults & 3 kids. Beds were comfortable. House was clean. This property is a bit older but nice. Only downfall is lots of stair (which is needed to get that beautiful view). My mom has knee issues but she managed. My husband had to carry our older labrador down front stairs but she managed the indoor stairs. I would absolutely love to stay here again & next time go crabbing! Loved seeing all the people out on the beach. This is just an amazing location. No cell service though. Does have land line which was the first one my young kids had ever seen 🤣. Restaurant Schooners is right down street & delicious food. Close to Cape Meares lighthouse and Tunnel beach! So many places to explore I'd love to come back in the summer and stay for longer.

The home is well positioned and provides a terrific 150 degree view of the ocean. Reverse floorplan maximizes the view potential and is highly efficient. Perfect place for a quiet off-season getaway with easy access to the beach.

Absolutely wonderful location. Directly on the beach with views of the sunset. Turn left and you can easily walk into downtown Netarts to hit the grocery store or grab dinner at the local pub. Turn right and you can walk along the beach for miles. Check in/out was a breeze and the renter was very easy accommodating to us. Would recommend!

The view is hard to beat. Perfect home for a family, or two couples for a get away, as long as stairs are not an issue. We had an issue with the range while we were there, this is the only thing that kept me from rating this even higher.

Property was nice. Kitchen is well-stocked, view is amazing. Two things I didn’t like were the stairs and our bed left me with a back ache every day. Not much you can do about the stairs but replacing the mattresses would make this a five star stay!

Incredible Views!
The property was just as the pictures show. The upstairs open area was perfect for us to hang out anytime. The beds were comfortable and the amount and layout fit our family perfectly. Our favorite part of the rental was the ability to walk out the door and down to the beach where you could get a great view of the rocks near Oceanside. We will definitely look to stay here again.

Best View in Netarts
Pros: This property has a view like no other. With floor to ceiling windows, there is a spectacular panoramic view of Netarts Bay and the ocean. Located at the very end of the street (closest to the beach), we could walk right out to the sand. We came for the clamming and Netarts did not disappoint. Sarah (from Shore Thing) was very helpful, personable, and responsive to text messages. The interior of the house was nice and clean, especially the upstairs living area where there are multiple places to sit and relax. The kitchen wares are on the older side and could use updating. Also, it is inconvenient to not have a bathroom on the main living floor. But overall, this is a lovely property that made for a very memorable trip for our family of 4!

We stayed at this house for a few days when my daughter got married on the coast. All of the families rented houses on this street and it was the best! Our house was clean and provided great access to the beach. The views from the top level can't be beat.

We loved the Happy Camp Area!! Be sure to walk to the end of the beach by Ocean Side & check out the starfish at low tide.
One of the coolest things I've ever seen!!
Beds were comfortable but bedrooms were tight. Worth it for the amazing upstairs common area!!! Views are fantastic.
