The house was great, clean and well equipped. unfortunately, the hot tube was not working but owner notified us prior to arrival which was appreciated. As previous VRBO experiences with check in and check out, beds were normally made when we arrived, towels and sheets were normally put in a bathroom for cleaners to wash and dry. We had to make all the beds upon arrival and wash/dry all towels and sheets by 11am check out. Thank you

I believe this has been our fifth straight year that my buddies and I have stayed at the Mermaid’s Tale. The owners are fantastic, always making sure our stay is without a hitch. The house is furnished with everything we could possibly need. When we are preparing to leave there is no doubt amongst us guys that we will look at no other place than the Mermaid’s Tale for our weekend get together.

A group of ladies from our church gets together each year. Our stay ger was very comfortable and cozy. Enjoyed hot tub and just being together. Home supplied with all.our needs. Will rent again

Amazing property. Had a great time and it is a great location. Only two minor issues and both were addressed immediately by the property owner. Couldn't have asked for more.

To say we enjoyed our stay at Ocean Isle is an understatement. To start, Steve's communication with us was phenomenal, from ensuring we were settled in upon arrival, to answering questions during our stay, to post trip items. Steve even checked for an item we thought we left behind. The location is amazing. The beach is so close. There are steps up and down the beach boardwalk, but my 72 year old father with mobility issues was able to handle them. The pool is also just a few steps away just be aware if you come in October, like we did, that the pool is not heated and quite cold. However, the hot tub more than made up for that. Between the beach and the hot tub, we were more than content. The house was very clean and cozy. We spent many mornings on the front porch. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was very well stocked, if you wanted to cook, although we ate out most nights or made simple grab and go meals. October is also a spectacular time to visit Ocean Isle. You have the place to yourself. The crowds are gone and it's so quiet. We had the beach to ourselves most days. The temperatures are perfection. Slightly, cool in the mornings and evenings, but by noon you are totally comfortable to be in a swimsuit on the beach without melting and enjoy the refreshing ocean water. We highly recommend Mermaid'sTale. Location, time of year, the house, amenities, amazing owner. You cannot go wrong. Enjoy!

The property was very nice and unique on the block. I am a griller and the grill being dirty did not excite me to clean it to use it. But others may be able to look past this. I did find the backyard pictures on line to not reflect current. Appeared to have some privacy with some multi-stemmed tree/shrubs. But this little bit of vegetation was not there and the backyard was zero privacy. Again others may look past this too. The only other item is around the hot tub we could not get the temperature of the water to what we are use too and so this was a disappointment and so we did not use the backyard at all. Overall I would recommend the house to rent as it was well equipped, and very nice to be across the street from beach access.

Stay

We spent 5 days here and everything was great! Kitchen is stocked with items needed to cook and bake with. The hot tub and access to the neighborhood pool were great ways to mix it up with our younger kids! The access to the beach was quick and easy to get to even when loaded down with all of the beach accessories. The home is filled with tons of beach chairs and items to use on the beach. It was a great week with perfect weather- would highly recommend and stay again!

Met some friends here for a long weekend. We couldn’t have picked a better location! The house was perfect for our group. We hope to be back soon!

The house is in a great location, easy access to pool and beach. Great outdoor space, loved the porch, we enjoyed our stay and would rent again next time we need a rental.

This property was just as advertised. We had a wonderful week! The location is perfect. The house was fully stocked, linens, towels and everything needed in the kitchen. We were staying here when tropical storm Idalia came up the east coast from Florida and the owner Steve was in constant contact with us to make sure we had everything we needed and kept us up to date on info from the storm. We will definitely return to this property in the future.

Steps to the beach and pool. Loved the front porch and swing. Easy drive to shops and restaurants.

We had a great stay at Ocean Isle and this home had a location that made it quick to get to the pool or beach. The layout of the home worked well for those we had vacationing with us and we hope to be back. Thanks for sharing your home!

We loved this house! It was perfect for our group of 8. The location is ideal, just across the street from the beach access and close to a community pool. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Beach chairs and bikes were a nice perk! We very much enjoyed our stay.

Always enjoy our stay at Mermaid's Tail. Perfect location and very well appointed. Fully outfitted kitchen with everything you'd need. Disappointed in the new refrigerator since it didn't have an ice maker but we bucked up and made it through. ;o) See you next year!

This place was everything as advertised. It starts with an attentive owner that goes above and beyond to ensure that you are informed on all facets for your stay, as well as updating you throughout the week on key items.The home was clean, well decorated and the kitchen was fully stocked. Beach access across the street made for an easy beach trek. We definitely enjoyed our week on the front porch, and look forward to returning to the MT.

Owners communicated nearly daily with simple check ins. House was clean and plentiful in supplies etc for all our needs. Would definitely stay here again

Loved the property and location and amenities. The air conditioning unit needed to be replaced while we were there, but the host had brought in temporary units so the disruption was minimal and the unit stayed cool on the hottest week of the year. Some trash was left under beds and behind dressers. Only complaint was that we did not have preference for booking the same week next year, similar to how realty companies operate.

This was our first visit to OIB and it did not disappoint. The house was in a great location close to the beach, pool and the town/pier. We had a few issues with the house but the owner was very quick to respond to any concerns we had and took care of them right away. Overall I would recommend this property and OIB.

We couldn’t stop talking about how perfect Mermaid’s Tale was for our gathering of friends. We were blown away by how well stocked it was. It’s a beautiful property, the beds were comfortable and the front porch was roomy. We didn’t use the hot tub or the pool but they were also very nice. We would not hesitate to recommend this property.

We couldn’t have asked for a better beach house rental. It was well maintained and clean. It was located in a quiet spot with easy access to the beach. We had a wonderful vacation here!!

We had a little last minute couples weekend trip here & it was perfect! We spent a lot of time on the front porch & in the back yard’s hot tub! We made a Saturday morning brunch & the kitchen is well equipped! Great communication with the owners. We would definitely recommend the cutest Mermaid Beach house!
