We had a great time. House was perfect for our group of 7 friends. Within walking distance of restaurants, shops and battlefield.

We are repeat guests at the Barclay House and we love staying there! It’s very centrally located and an easy walk to shops and restaurants and right on the edge of the battlefield. The house is very spacious and comfortable and has plenty of room to hang out! Would highly recommend and come back again!

The house was perfect in all ways. Convenient to Gettysburg downtown and battlefield. Comfortable and spacious. Quiet backyard and off street parking. Just make sure your car has good ground clearance before you go into the garage. We were fine in a Subaru Outback but a regular car would have trouble.

Great Home, great location. Very clean and well maintained. Walk to almost all. Tried to contact host repeatedly for a few small items, no response thru 2.5 days. Worked around issues with no problem on our own.

We were a group of 73 year old women who came to Gettysburg to celebrate our 50th College Reunion. We could not have been more pleased with the property! It is beautifully decorated and spacious. It is within walking distance of the College, the Square, Restaurants, etc. We just kept marveling all weekend about what a great place it was!

This house was great for our extended family and was in a great location! Walkable to my restaurants and shops and a couple minutes to drive to the battlefield! The house was very spacious and comfortable and was right in the middle of the action! Would definitely recommend and go back!

Walk everywhere

The location of this property is fantastic. Only a short stroll to the circle where pubs, etc. are located.

We had a great time at the Barclay House and will definitely rent again for future trips! It was a beautiful place right in the heart of Gettysburg. The back parking was so convenient to get to and we never had to fight for a spot on the street. The house was everything we needed. One note: we had a carrier on the top of our van which prevented it from fitting in the garage. We were able to park on the street behind the garage, however. Also, we had another vehicle that sits pretty low to the ground, a regular sedan, that scraped along the garage floor when we tried to park in there. I believe a regular SUV or other slightly higher type vehicle would be fine.

A beautiful home. The second floor with the bedrooms is spacious. The location is perfect - within walking distance to the town center and lots of breweries.

Nice property with plenty of space for our extended family of 9. Very close to the square in Gettysburg which was great for the Christmas tree lighting.

Our small group of friends and family have been coming to Gettysburg in November for 10+ yrs. This was our first stay in the Barclay house and it was wonderful! It is a lovely home with a perfect location, great kitchen, plenty of room! The home is also well cleaned and all reported comfy beds. We are definitely staying here again!

We stayed two nights here and it was amazing. Plenty of room, the beds were super comfy and there was so much room and very clean. The house and decor is a perfect setting for Gettysburg. The kitchen was well equipped with what ever you needed. The sitting area outside was really cute. Overall I would recommend staying here!

We love this property — second stay here in five years and they have improved the brick walkway and kept up with the overall cleanliness and condition of everything. We enjoyed the new and improved outside seating area too. We love the location a few blocks from the square, off street garage parking (KEY) and close to all the action up Steinwehr and the battlefield. We didn’t mind motorcycles and Gettyspeds on busy Baltimore Street outside but would second local efforts to provide a bypass for 18 wheelers and large dump trucks — many of theses go around the same thoroughfare and that has drawbacks if you are sleeping in one of the front bedrooms.Tenant in upstairs apartment appeared on occasion to exit her third floor apartment but we never felt a lack of privacy.Overall we love the Barclay and look forward to going back.

First off, what a great location in Gettysburg, it’s in the middle of everything. The house has plenty of room, there were 8 adults and 2 teens in our group. The kitchen was well equipped with toaster, Keurig, coffee maker, dishwasher, silverware, plates, cookware, and has two sinks. The garage was very handy for our group to store our bicycles, which we rode to the various parts of the battlefield each day of our stay. The backyard was a nice place to hang out and unwind at the end of the day. Overall 5 stars, will definitely recommend this gem to friends and family traveling to Gettysburg.
