Beautiful old historic home. Property was well appointed with everything you need. Beds were comfortable and location was perfect. Communication with property owner Brian was easy, answering all our questions quickly. A must stay when visiting Chama, NM.

Great home and very comfortable. Host was very helpful and always available. Having 4 Bdrms and 3 Baths is very nice and this home and area was vey quiet. We will return on our next stay in thus area.

Visted Chama for the Cumbres Train. This house was a great location, close to the train station, and restaurants near by. The house was super cute and overall fairly clean. The beds were comfortable and rooms were spacious. We loved the balcony upstairs to hang out and star gaze. All the rooms were upstairs and the stairs were pretty narrow to go up and down with luggage. There was a total of 4 of us and we were very comfortable.

The property was conveniently located so that we could walk to the train and to town. It was full of artifacts, art and history as well as everything you might need for your stay. Communication with the owner was easy and informative. The Chama train was spectacular with the fall foliage. We enjoyed our 2 night stay very much.

Interior of the house was very nice and clean. The exterior could use some work. The front porch looks like it's ready for Holloween with all the cobwebs on it. Thanks for the extra pillows and comfortable beds. The shower in the master bedroom is starting to show wear and could be upgraded.

Great stay. The property was neat, well maintained and user friendly. All of the instructions for the stay were clearly communicated and we had no problems whatsoever.

This is a beautiful home with beautiful furnishings. Felt right at home when we got there. Could use a little cleaning out of the refrigerator/kitchen drawers. I usually like the house very cool and had a hard time getting the house to cool down. Good thing the weather was cool and it helped to have the windows open at night. Wouldn't be comfortable in hotter weather. Will definitely consider staying here again.

This house is adorable, functional and perfectly positioned for traveling on the Cumbres Toltec Scenic Train. The host is gracious and responsive. Highly recommend!

The house worked great for our extended family. There were two seating areas downstairs and the bathroom downstairs was a walk in - a necessity for my elderly parents. The house was very clean and we received timely communications for check in. We would stay here again!

We were there (family of 5) for the Cumbres & ToltecTrain, which we enjoyed very much. The Blue House was nice,clean, convienient and met our needs. Chama is a small town and the restaurant food is something to be desired. Lowes, the supermarket , however is well stocked.

Overall impression was outstanding. The property is extremely well managed. Much of the home had been recently redone with new appliances, etc. Communication with both the owner and property manager couldn't have been better. Highly recommend.

We only stayed for 2 days, but it was perfect location for us being close to the train station as we were there for the train ride with my 92 year old mother and my son.
House had character and was comfortable.
We would stay here again in the future for sure. 😃

House is just right for us, bedroom for each person . Problems: onion growing in bag in pantry, bag contained other spoiled items also, we threw the bag out and aired out pantry. Baseboards dusty. Faucets squeak. Took care of squeaky doors with WD40. It is nice to a have a washer/dryer and dishwasher. Need a four slice toaster. Like the new electronic door locks. We placed the shelf unit that is by back door in the kitchen as a work bar. It worked great, placed chip bags and other snack items on lower shelfs. We put the bench under the window in the mud room so we could put on/ take off boots. We placed our hunting gear tubs in the space to the right of the kitchen door that leads from mud room to kitchen. Even with the minor issues we will stay again next year if available at time of our hunt week.

I absolutely love this house - 4 big bedrooms with queen beds and plenty of room all over. Perfect for train riders and anyone visiting this incredibly gorgeous area.

I've said it before... This house is the best! Five of us stayed two nights, cooked breakfasts and dinners, slept great, and never felt like we were lacking anything. The antiques and memorabilia are unique and always fun to peruse. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms well furnished, and the kitchen well stocked.
Thank you to host and housekeeper for keeping this the best place to stay in Chama!

Could use a handicap toilet for seniors and had ants in upstairs bedroom one night .
No problem with online renting.
Would of liked toaster. But had a good time. House was very nice with lots of room.

Comfortable place to stay
This is a very nice place to stay while visiting the area. Check-in was easy, the home is comfortable and spacious. There are lots of interesting decorating items, which are all for sale (fun idea!). There was a boil water advisory in the town, but the owner had provided some growlers of "good" water that were already in the refrigerator when we arrived. Communication with the owner was easy. I would stay here again.

The property was great just like it was 5 years ago. The start of the train was delayed, so we were pretty bummed not to hear it this time around. The host was very responsive and helpful, the weather was great, and I’d recommend staying here to anyone!

Property is large with plenty of room for a large group, even though we were only 3 people. There are very few places to eat in Chama (off season) so we were
glad to have a kitchen well stocked with pots, pans, slow cooker, etc. We enjoyed our stay.

As always, the Blue House in Chama was a charmer! I love staying here because it's right on main street and close to everything. However, it's a quiet and peaceful place to rest your head. Great kitchen, plush towels, a TV with all the bells and whistles, and a dynamite front porch! I hope we get to stay here again soon. Thanks for a great stay!
