The cottage was absolutely perfect! The owner has thought of every detail to make your stay better. It rained almost our entire trip and it didn’t put a damper on our fun at all. The cottage is so relaxing that we wouldn’t have minded if we never left. Between the hot tub, pool and screened in porch with the swinging beds.. we enjoyed every minute!

Communication was top notch and everything was as advertised. Would recommend.

I’ve stayed at a lot VRBOs. This place was exactly as depicted. It was awesome. For workaholics like us, we were able to unwind in this cute beach home that had everything you needed. The porch swings are the best and great for relaxing while listening to the birds sing. The pool was welcoming and very clean. We rented the golf cart during our stay, and it was a blast driving the backroads on the island. The beach is close by and easily accessible. Our host, Missy, was quick to respond if we had any questions. We definitely will be back.

We found this house to be very comfortable and it had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The pool and hot tub were in great shape and the setting is beautiful. Host Missy was very responsive and friendly. We would definitely recommend this house to anyone!

We loved every minute of our visit to The Salty Mermaid! This fabulous cottage has absolutely everything you need for the perfect vacation. All of the outdoor amenities including the hanging beds, heated pool, hot tub, fire pit, corn hole, ping ping table, and plenty of comfortable outdoor adirondacks and loungers are amazing. And inside no detail has been overlooked with gorgeous decore, super comfy beds and bedding, plenty of towels, fully loaded kitchen with great cooking options, and the cutest tableware and dishes. The location is also great with beautiful lush backyard landscaping and just a short walk to the beach. Missy was the perfect host and very kind and accommodating. We can’t wait to visit again! Tybee is our happy place and we have stayed in many great rentals. This was our first time staying at Salty Mermaid Cottage and we all agreed it was our favorite house! The details make the difference. Clean. Gorgeously decorated. So many little touches of convenience: coffee machines, paper products, pool toys and towels, beach chairs and toys, hair dryers, books and board games! From the front porch bed swings to the the pool area to the ping pong and cornhole, there was a spot and activity for everyone! The kids lived in the pool and hot tub! The back deck has one of the best spots for watching the sunset over the marsh side of the island. We could easily keep an eye on the kids while enjoying cocktails. The location was just close enough to the beach but also set away from the commotion of the night life. Of course the nightlife is just a short golf cart ride away. We loved staying in this area of the island. Host was very responsive to our needs. We can’t wait to return!

We loved the property! It is very well cared for, cozy and unique. We loved the location! Quiet neighborhood & we walked everywhere we wanted to go. If we visit Tybee again, we will stay at The Salty Mermaid for sure! We added the extra of heating the pool & I would recommend this. Our family really enjoyed the pool, hot tub & patio area!
