We rented this home with our adult children. House has ample space for spreading out. The location was perfect for seeing all of the sights. We didn’t use the hot tub but we did grill out multiple time. Try the local pizza place, it’s great.

Beautiful property off of main road (not too secluded but still very private), fully equipped kitchen, grill for our use and plenty of space for our family trip! We enjoyed all of the sites by day and relaxed in the hot tub and enjoyed the decks at night. Wonderful hosts and even delivered home made cinnamon rolls for us to enjoy!

This home was perfect for our family while staying in South Dakota. It was central to many things and had everything we need and more! Communication with the host was quick and easy. We would definitely recommend and would stay there again.

When we arrived, we were greeted with homemade cinnamon rolls, which my daughters loved! Our family enjoyed spending time on the back deck with the fire pit and hot tub. The house was centrally located… about 20 minutes from Custer State Park, Keystone and Rapid City. I spoke with Sherry, one of the homeowners, before we arrived, which was helpful. We also had the pleasure of meeting her and her husband. They were kind enough to share corn and tomatoes from their garden! We very much enjoyed our stay!

Everything about the home was exactly as described. From the very well stocked kitchen, warm, inviting home, plenty of deer to watch, it was just what we were looking for. Perfect location to get to all the area attractions. Sherry and Lloyd were wonderful hosts. Highly recommend it.

You are not renting a house, but a home. It is like visiting Grandma. The house is so warm and welcoming. Everything was comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This house was perfect for us with 2 adults and 4 kids. The kids loved the outdoor hot tub and being able to fish on the creek right on the property. The home is located in between Keystone and Custer State Park where we spent most of our time. The owners are so nice and accommodating. They even had eggs, bacon and orange juice for us in the fridge. I highly recommend this home.

listing was as described. Lots of room and a big yard for the kids. Would've given it 5 stars but the door was locked when we got there. Contacted the homeowner and the problem was very quickly resolved!

The house was very clean and well stocked with everything we could need. It’s also super conveniently located to Mt Rushmore, Wind Cave NP, Custer State Park, Mammoth Site (all 30 mins or less) and many other destinations (Deadwood, Badlands each about 60 mins). The only negative, for us, was the frequency with which the owners were at the property. As mentioned, they do operate a “part-time” vet clinic out of the garage — I guess we just weren’t expecting three+ visits a day. After a few days, our four-year-old asked “Do those people live in the garage?” For some, the frequent visits might not be an issue. But for us, it was the difference between a “good” and “great” experience. It just felt a little more like a Bed & Breakfast and less like a vacation home, if that makes sense. That said, our interactions with the owners — while more frequent than we would have liked — were very pleasant.

We spent a week in this comfortable home near the Black Hills. It was the perfect location for seeing Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park, the Black Hills and all the nearby sights. We loved returning to the home for a relaxing evening after each day of sightseeing and hiking. The owner was so friendly and easy to contact. And we had the wonderful homemade cinnamon rolls in the kitchen when we arrived. If we ever return to this area I would certainly choose to stay here again!

It has been almost a month since we were in Hermosa. It was a perfect place for our trip. It was centrally located for all we want to do. Sharon and Lloyd were great hosts. We had Sharon's famous cinnamon rolls. We would stay here again without hesitation.

We used this home for a family vacation. We wanted a place that had lots of space inside and out, but that wasn't too far from the local attractions. This home fit the bill. It was comfortable for 5 adults and 2 children. The kitchen was VERY well stocked. The dining room table and living room was big enough for us to all sit comfortably. There were even toys for the kids. We not only enjoyed the interior, but loved being outside. There are 2 nice decks. We used both the grill and the hot tub. We also played in the creek and climbed the "mountain" behind the house. The host and hostess were attentive and made us feel welcome to their home. We were even welcomed with warm breakfast rolls in the kitchen when we arrived. Thank you!

Sheri and Lloyd were absolutely wonderful! They were so warm and inviting. They even had a wonderful pan of cinnamon rolls for us. The place was very clean and spacious. Plenty of room for the kids to run and play. We felt very at home. The house was in a great location in regards to Keystone/Mt Rushmore, Rapid City, Custer State Park. We would love to stay here again!

The cabin was very clean and exactly as advertised. Sherry and Lloyd were great hosts and even left a terrific tray of brownies to welcome us. The cabin was well located for everything we wanted to do, from Custer State Park to the Badlands to Devil's Tower in Wyoming. We were able to see everything we wanted. The cabin had toys for children and games for adults. We would highly recommend this cabin to anyone traveling with children!

We had a wonderful stay at this property! Owners were wonderful and very helpful. Everything is as described. We had 6 adults stay and we had plenty of room with the three bedrooms. The location was perfect and very close to everywhere we wanted to go. We grilled out every night and there was everything we needed in the kitchen. This property was clean and very accessible to all Black Hills destinations. The hosts were amazing and easy to communicate with. They even had homemade cinnamon rolls upon arrival. This property was wonderful for 6 adults and 2 children. I would highly recommend this place for your next vacation.
