Beautiful location and we have enjoyed being there. It would have been nice if there would have been an option for cleaning after our stay, but maybe we have not read well enough to see that option...

A great place for our extended family. The cousins loved the space and activities inside, at the beach and under the trees. Everything we needed and a very relaxing stay.

We love staying at the Waiwera beach house, even when it’s stormy.

Great location for a short beach break close to Auckland

The house is old and well used, but so spacious, loads of beds and bathrooms, perfect beachfront spot for a weekend away. We had a great time and the owners were so fab at communicating and even offered for us to stay a little longer due to the cyclone! Very lovely personal touch. I have stayed before and will stay again if I have a large group. Thanks!

Very spacious - great for our three generations. Unfortunately there were some problems with the fridge, the electrical fuses and curtains falling off tracks. Enjoyed the clean linen and fluffy towels.

This was a very large house which perfectly suited our needs for the three families we had stay. Lots of books and toys that the kids spent themselves occupied with. Great location right on the beach, was so lovely to be a stones throw away with all the kids different nap times. The house did get SUPER hot though so would recommend taking lots of decent fans as it was hard to put the kids down at 7pm in the sweltering summer heat. The thermal spa worked a treat when it rained one day during our stay and was easy to use. 4 showers and toilets meant we didnt have to wait hours for everyone to get ready so was awesome to have our own bathrooms. Water pressure on top floor was almost non existent when the other showers were going (not a surprise though for an older house and certainly not a major!). Very friendly owners and great to deal with. We would definitely return after this great experience!

The place was a great size for our crew. Some parts a wee bit worn but that meant we could relax more with the kids. A good time had by all - loved the size of the kitchen for communal cooking

The property is so close to the beach you could sit on the front porch and watch your family playing in the sand (at low tide of course) It has had fair bit of wear & tear but perfect space for everyone including a large area for children to play inside. Luxury it is not but great for a group of friends or family.

The location was excellent. The house is a bit of a maze and finding the appropriate light switches was a bit challenging, but everything was well cared for, clean, fresh, well equipped and spacious, so we found our way around everything in the end. A great house for large crowds.

We loved the house. It is a large house but very cosy. We could't figure out to get to the spa but it was't a big deal. I definatly come back.

Would gladly rent this property again, it is amazing! As it was shared with family it was a perfect size so you werent all bumping into each other. Everyone felt relaxed and refreshed after this weekend.

It was honestly great. The house was super tidy and clean, the check in instructions were nice and simple and the view was amazing.

Great big house, lots if space for groups/couples/kids. Even on a rainy day.....lots of room and good big window looking out to the beach.

Wow what an amazing location! Beach front in paradise. Room for everyone to have their own space and kitchen well resourced for large numbers. Great swimming beach, would definitely book again.

Perfect spot for our large family on Waiwera beach

We really enjoyed our stay, it was lovely to be so close to a safe beach especially as we were a family with young children. The estuary does have a strong tidal pull so it is best to stick to the beach side. The children enjoyed going out at low tide to explore the sand banks, look at the shells etc. Our hosts were very helpful and communication was good. It is a large house to clean and we did our best with the cleaning facilities that were there. Overall, we had a wonderful few days and would love to stay again.

Excellent locaton near child-friendly beach. Very spacious house with room for three generations of our family. We appreciated the high chair and toys. We were disappointed that the TV didn't work and the owners couldn't fix it due to the holiday.. Some rooms had not been vaccuumed before arrival, but we vaccuumed them all before leaving. The oven was very dirty when we arrived, so we did not clean it, and it was hard to switch on due to clock setting. But overall we found this house an excellent place to have a family reunion and see in the New Year. Thanks to the owners from our whole family.

Lovely place, amazing location. The layout is bizarre and working out the light switches was like being on the crystal maze but it all adds to the charm. It was great for our group of friends. Dont worry about running out of plates. The Plate cupboard doesnt stop giving.

Great location with lots of room. Local Beaches are great as is the proximity to Auckland. Only improvements would be that Vacuum needs replacing and random glass wall upstairs needs to be taken out as it is a hazard. You should also note that the water slides are no longer available. Other than that, great stay!

The big yellow house was perfect for our large wedding group. The property is in a great location right by the beach with great views. The house had everything you need for your stay, with plenty of room for everyone . The owners were very helpful and provided all my requests. They were prompt in answering all my questions. Have recommended the property to other family and friends as a great relaxing place to stay and so close to Orewa and Auckland.
