Very nice property with a gated entrance, friendly security guard. Filtered water was available.

David was highly communicative and responsive. We felt safe and secure in the gated property with 24 hour security. We enjoyed several meals at the porta hotel restaurant which was only a 5 min walk away. We highly recommend and would happily stay here again in future.

We loved our stay at the El Marques, stagf was very polite, and helpful. David the property manager was excellent, very accomodating. The place is close to the central park and my kid enjoyed the walks every afternoon. We stayed for 5 weeks and felt very safe. The location is fantastic. great view of the Volcano. We loved our 10-day stay in this quiet location only 4 short blocks from the Central Park and the Cathedral. It’s clean, secured and convenient. The on-site Manager was super helpful as well as the 24-hour friendly guards, Jose and Luis. We are looking forward to returning soon.

One of the cleanest places I have stayed. Everything worked and 1 small problem fixed right away. Very secure and close to everything.

From check in to check out it was a great experience. David was very gracious and anything that wasn't working properly was fixed or replaced promptly. David always asked us if we needed anything, would have friendly conversations with us. Maribel the cleaner and handiwoman is also wonderful. She is thorough in her cleaning and takes care of the little things that need fixing or replacing. The grounds are well kept and clean, the securiy are attentive. There's hot water for showers and dishes amd washing machine inside, purified water from a dispenser near the security post. The best thing isnthat you don't get a separate electricity bill at the end of your stay which is all too common in Antigua. We stayed in this condonfor a month during christmas season and it was far enough away from the fireworks that our dog didn't have anxiety. It's walking distance to Central Park and a bunch of really delicious restaurants. I do suggest if going to the market to walk toward the market and wave down a tuktuk. There's no air conditioning, but it's not needed in Antigua, fans are fine. The only thing I didn't like was there is no green space.

I always enjoy Antigua and its beautiful colonial architecture, friendly atmosphere, and great restaurants. This is my second stay at El Marques and love the place. This stay was for 18 days. Spacious and comfortable suites, friendly and helpful staff. 24/7 security on site. 5 blocks to the central square. Like most of Gautemala, the internet is not the best but as they say: "Guatever!". Already booked my next stay.

The property is spotless, the plants and shrubs pruned to perfection, unit was immaculate. Usually places don’t live up to the pictures but this place surpassed the pictures. Walk to everything, excellent time from beginning to end

The location was located on a quite street away from the main square allowing for a relaxing stay. The main square and restaurants are easily accessed by a short walk, local taxi or personal owned vehicle.

My son and I roomed in the Don Pedro apartment for three weeks this last July. We found the location to be excellent; few blocks from the plaza but far enough from the center's noise. The staff, and especially David, the manager, made every effort to make our stay special and comfortable and provided us with extra kitchen gadgets since we did not want to eat out every night. (The kitchen is not fully equipped but you may ask to borrow what you need). They also provide their guests with airport shuttles and have a tour agency they can refer you to for travel around the country. My son's wonderful Spanish academy, Ixchel Spanish School, is located two-and a half blocks away and so are several little shops nearby where you can buy many edibles including fresh made tortillas. The security of the building complex made us feel secure throughout our stay and the apartment has a safe where to store valuables. We will gladly stay again at El Marques de Antigua when we return to Antigua.

My three daughters and I enjoyed our stay at El Marques. It was well located so we could walk into town during the day or night. It was also a very secure sight with 24 hour security. Someone was always present to welcome us, arrange transportation for us, and answer any questions we may have. The unit was very clean, well appointed, and had all of the necessary amenities.

My wife and I just spent two weeks at this property, and we couldn't have been happier. The apartment was even nicer than the pictures show on the listing. The entire staff was very attentive to all our needs and helped make our stay so enjoyable. The location of the property was ideal as well. It was only a short walk to the center of the city, but it was also in an area that was far enough away to feel very peaceful and relaxing. All of the furnishings seemed very new, and it was very well equipped for our stay. The manager was even kind enough to find a blender for us on our arrival so we could blend fresh juice every morning. We would definitely recommend this property to all our family and friends. We both hope to come back to Antigua soon enough and hope to be able to stay at this property again!
