An absolutely fantastic stay. Clean, easy to find and perfect for me. Mark and Sheryl are wonderful hosts and very accommodating, the use of their grill and patio area in the evenings was just great. The company was very welcomed as well, from talking with the both of them to just hanging with their pets. Even though I was there for "work", it was a very home like feeling at the end of the day! Thank you both for having me. 5 stars all the way!

Mr and Mrs Davis are excellent hosts. Great outdoor location for kids. Outdoor fireplace in covered patio and plenty of outdoor cooking options. Small refrigerator, microwave, and Kurig inside rental. We had a wonderful visit to Hemphill and the Columbia Museum.

Everything was as described, communication and questions were great!

The cottage and property are great. We enjoyed our stay very much. Mark and Sheryl were wonderful hosts. We had some vehicle trouble on the way there and they went above and beyond to help us get the issue resolved. Highly recommend their place if you are looking to stay on Toledo Bend.

Bedrooms upstairs bathroom downstairs made it a little difficult at night. The place was very clean and quiet.

Excellent location just off lake and very comfortable accommodations. Many local restaurants nearby and plenty of places to see and things to do. Would love to spend more time and enjoy more than a weekend here. Lake is beautiful and everyone we talked to in the area was super nice. Excellent host/hostess and the best little guard doggies yet!

Nice little two bedroom loft close to the water. With water and electricity behind the house you can leave your boat in with comfort. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. The fishing in the area was great. The owners are super nice and will help you with anything you need. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to get away for fishing or just relaxing. We will be back.

The place was very clean and comfortable. The owners are incredibly nice and accommodating. Plus, they threw in a few fishing tips. I would recommend this place for small groups and will be back again.

Property was exactly as described. There was an earlier review I was concerned about but it turned out to be completely baseless. Was made by an uneducated individual. Great hosts. Extremely easy to work with. Will stay again.

Arrived on Friday, the so called pool was a dirty creek with a small alligator in it. The water smell was horrible. Went to take shower, no water pressure, could not wash hair, to top it off the wash rag and towels were soured smelling. Then when it was time to go to bed, you could feel the springs in the mattress and the bed shook from the window unit running. We took the bedcovers and went downstairs and I slept on couch, my spouse slept on a small mattress which was like sleeping on the floor, we could not go to sleep so we packed up and left at dawn. SO DISGUSTED! I will say the owners from our initial visit were very pleasant. Although I paid for two nights we only stay awake the first night and left.

Very peaceful and good neighborhood Excellent host

This was my first time using Vrbo, and I had a great experience! Mark and Sheryl Davis were wonderful hosts, from the time I booked to the time I left. We communicated through the Vrbo app several times prior to my arrival; Sheryl was very responsive. When my brother and I arrived Thursday evening, they were waiting on the front porch, and came out in the rain to welcome us and help us get situated. We had the full use of their concrete driveway to park our boat and plug it up for charging, even leaving it there while we took the truck into town. We stayed in a nice garage apartment, where Mark and Sheryl had fresh fruit and an ice chest full of cold water bottles waiting on us. The living room, kitchen area, and bathroom were downstairs. There were two separate bedrooms upstairs, each with it's own window unit AC. The whole apartment was clean and smelled good, with nice bedding and furniture and decorations. My brother and I went out to eat Thursday evening, then returned at our leisure. No worries about waking up the Davis's, since the garage is separate from the main house. Friday we went fishing for most of the day. We were interrupted by a battery issue and came back to the apartment to work on the boat; Mark met us outside and helped us work on it, offering tools, his workbench, and a couple of electrical connections to get us back in the game ASAP. We went fishing again, returning late Friday afternoon, where Sheryl had made a big pot of chicken and sausage gumbo and invited us to eat with them. We sat around their kitchen table like family and talked and ate some great gumbo! Afterwards I went to bed, while my brother hung out with Mark and Sheryl and talked fishing! Mark even pointed us to a couple of fishing spots that had been productive for him. Saturday we fished our tournament, and returned to the apartment to grab our stuff and then head to weigh-in (Sheryl generously offered a check-out time of late in the day, knowing we were going to be fishing in the tournament all day). All-in-all, this was less like a rental transaction and more like making new friends that treat you like old friends. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and will definitely book here again for future trips! And next time I'm in the area, even if it's just a day trip for fishing, I'll drive by and see if Mark and Sheryl are sitting on their porch and stop and chat for a bit! I saved this property on my Trip Board! Good times!
