The view over Putsborough is amazing and the overall design and flow of the property is well thought out with the best views from the lounge as well as the kitchen area. The property manager is very helpful and got back to us immediately we messaged to ask how something worked.

Currently, due to Covid there is no use of the pool, so the listing for the property is a little misleading although you are made aware of it once booked. The property itself seems a little tired, it was clean enough but the glasses were not very clean at all and we found a pair of socks belonging to someone else in one of the drawers. The heating in the main room didn’t seem to work properly and we felt quite cold on occasion, whereas the bedrooms were very warm. We struggled to get the oven working properly as it had been switched off at the mains and the buttons were quite hard to use, but the property manager was helpful and got back to us straight away with some advice on how to reset it. She was also very quick to get back to us regarding the hot water for the twin bedroom and the main bathroom, which is fed from a separate boiler, which needed switching on, rather than as electric showers which is how they appeared. Some of the electrics need looking at, the bedroom lights flicker, the TV makes a high pitched electrical noise when on standby and we had to switch it off at the wall, the standing lamp buzzed when on, as did the cooker hood when the light was on.

Although comfortable the duvet on the double bed had a blood stain and the pillows were not in a good state ie yellowing.
