Amazing property and the host was reachable if you had any questions. The view of Mauna Loa was so clear and viewable from the property and the neighborhood was very quiet and friendly. We loved our stay at the Horse House. We thought it was perfect for our family and had everything you would ever need to make a vacation pleasant and comfortable. Will go back again!

Property was rural but a short drive to Waimea restaurant's, groceries, activities. House was an excellent deal for the price. Owner was easy to communicate with and easy self entry. House was clean and kitchen had everything you might need to prepare meals.

If you like peaceful places you will love this house. We like this place for the great location, comfortable beds, and all staff that we found in the kitchen. You will have all that you need for feeling yourself at home. Lise is a great host and she always answered on all my questions.

The property was equipped with everything needed. Kitchen was fully equipped and additionally supplied was Coffee and spices. Beds were very comfortable. All supplies were available inside the house. The garage had coolers and beach chairs for day trips. That was a bonus. The neighborhood was very quiet. The altitude of Waimea was very comfortable, since it cools down during the night. Great views from the house towards Mauna Kea. The communication with Lise was very professional and timely. Highly recommend this quiet place and the nice host.

Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay at the horse house. Since my daughter has loved horses her whole life, the decor was appreciated. Spectacular view of the Mauna Kea. We enjoyed a very clean house with comfortable beds and cool temperatures, much cooler than at the Kohala beaches. I always like staying at a rental with a grocery store nearby which there is here, about 5 minute drive away. Beaches are about a 25 minute drive. We also went horseback riding about 30 minutes away at Paniolo Adventures which was wonderful. The neighbor's barking dog everytime we went out to the the driveway was annoying, but hard to control that situation.

We loved staying here! Lise is an excellent host, and the house was perfect for us. It was nice to stay in Waemia as Kona, Hawi and Hilo were close. It was such a nice home to come back to every day after our adventures all over the island. The kitchen was well stocked with pans, utensils,etc and there are a lot of great restaurants within just a few minutes drive. Ten out of ten would recommend staying here and can’t wait to go back!

We came 9th time to Big Island. It is our favorite summer vacation. Usually we rent house near the beach, but this time we rent home little far away and was absolutely happy with this home. Waimea is small town 25 minutes driving from the amazing Hapuna beach. But the temperature on Hapuna was 90 starting from morning that great for swimming, the temperature in Waimea was 65 that great for the rest and sleeping. You can have two different climate during one day. The house has all that you need and more. I can cooked lunch and dinner. If you do not want to cook by self. I can recommended Waimea Coffee Company. Lise is very good owner of the house. She sent me all information in time and answered on all my questions. And beds were comfortable too.

Home is in in the best town (Waimea) on the Big Island. Great hop off point for any island excursion. Lise was so easy to work with from the moment we booked.

Great views of Mauna Kea and a good stay for our family. Kitchen had what we needed and Lise was very responsive when we reached out with questions or concerns.

Comfortable house in a residential neighborhood convenient to Waimea and many other places on the Big Island. The house was well provisioned and was a great place to hang out between excursions. Two grocery stores and many good restaurants nearby. Would recommend.

Great location with a wonderful owner who provides a great house. House is located at just above 3000 feet so it has cool evenings and warm days. We have stayed there multiple years for the month of June. House is very clean and well kept. The house sits in a neighborhood with many families, off the beaten path for tourists so it is quiet. It has a great view of Mauna Kea along with the pastures in the valley.

We stayed multiple weeks at Lise's property and had a vacation of a lifetime! We thoroughly enjoyed the house and location. The house was perfect for us as we were searching for something that would be quiet enough for our baby yet close enough to all the island's activities. The neighborhood and Waimea itself is very cute and quiet at night with excellent stargazing if the clouds aren't out. The view of Mauna Kea was amazing especially during a full moon. Waimea is about 20/30 minutes to either side of the island so an excellent location for exploring the island. It was a short beautiful drive to get to many of the islands best beaches. And huge plus is that Waimea cools down at night. So you can spend your day in the heat and humidity but don't have to sleep in it if you are staying here! We hadn't given that much thought when booking but was one of our favorite perks of the house after a long day in the sun. We also loved the layout of the house, with the two rooms downstairs and loft upstairs. Everything inside was nice, updated, and clean; especially the kitchen. The water pressure in the shower was a little lower than what I am used to but nothing that would be an actual issue for showering. Just a little low for my preference. The wifi was very fast for streaming shows/movies and doing any work we needed to accomplish. The laundry/dryer are huge! Which was very helpful for us and seem to be brand new. We had to do laundry and loved their machines! Also whenever we needed to contact Lise we were able to immediately and she helped us sort through any questions promptly. This property is run and maintained excellently. Can't emphasize that enough. I would highly recommend Lise's property, especially for anyone considering a multiweek stay you can't beat it. An excellent house and location!

My husband and my two adult daughters loved Lises place! It is very comfortable, spacious and in a perfect location for beaches and access to the north coast.

Excellent accommodations, very well stocked. We loved the views or the mountains and valley, and the incredible sun rises! We are very happy with our stay! We thought the snacks were so thoughful too!

Wonderful time and location was perfect. Beautiful views from the property. All the necessary amenities that you could ask for. We came up to stay for a week for my birthday, and were not disappointed. Very easy to travel down to the sandy beaches, and central to getting to Hilo and Kona if needed. Wonderful restaurants in Waimea when we didn’t use the stocked kitchen. Would definitely stay here again.

This property far exceeded our expectations. We decided to take a inter-island staycation and chose this beautiful home. Two couples and our parents. It was the perfect amount of space. There are so many nice touches to this place! The loft bedroom, the woodburning stove, the grill and garage made this the absolute perfect place for our trip. There are so many good places to eat because of the fresh meat and vegetables from the surrounding ranches, not to mention an abundance of grocery options if you want to bring back some surf and turf and grill it yourself! And we did! If you want a change a pace from the rest of Hawaii and the fresh crisp air of Waimea, look no further! As a sidenote, Lise is an outstanding host who was very responsive through messaging and has a local point of contact as well. Thank you Lise!

We loved staying here. It was easy to drive to other locations to learn more about the island. The Farmer's Market was handy and fun. The owner was easy to work with and we appreciate her involvement. The house is updated and cared for. The view is great!

We very much enjoyed our stay. Lise is a great property owner. She responds quickly to questions and really goes out of her way to make sure your stay is perfect. The house is on wetter side of the island and it can be brisk in the morning and evening so bring a light rain jacket. But if you drive West for about 25 minutes you’ll be in much warmer weather and on the beach. The house is close to town, so it makes grocery shopping easy. There are local shops (The Fish and Hog, Patisserie Nanako) and the Parker Ranch famers market were some of our favorites. The house has everything you need from kitchen supplies to beach chairs. It’s in a quiet neighborhood. We would definitely rent it again!!!

We loved the house. A perfect 3 bedroom for a group of friends wanting to explore the big island. Lise was an amazing host and very easy to communicate with. The house was very cozy wind charming. We would recommend getting a rental car to be able to drive to all the attractions on the island.
