The house has everything you need including beach towels and umbrellas, cool box etc. It's very clean and homely and in a very quiet neighbourhood, close to shops and bars a 5-10 min walk away. The pool is bigger and deeper than it looks in the photos, really lovely, clean and warmed by the sun (but lovely to cool down in) The roof terrace is big with wonderful views 10 min walk to the beach and beach bars/restaurants. There is a wonderful boardwalk for miles on the beach.

The photos of the white washed town (e.g. image 41) were a bit misleading - my fault for not checking it out but these photos are of Mijas which is a 20-25 min drive away. Sitio de Calahonda was not like this, or at least we didn't find it to be. The walk to the beach is over a walk way across a very busy road, that said you cannot hear the road from the beach or the house. And the road is a fast way to get to anywhere. The pool and eating area is over looked by the neighbours, I think another rental. This was occupied when we stayed there but it didn't bother us, in fact they were very friendly and didn't look over at us. I'm not sure if it's rented out very often.

Loved the villa layout, and outside patio. Easy to get to Calahonda beach by foot or taxi. Liked the windows shutters to keep the light out on an evening, and for added security.

Probably a great villa for family group, but restricted to the number of Bars, and Restaurants close by that open later than midnight. Best to get taxi to Fuengirola for more choice. The pool is overlooked by duplex villa next door, which is not apparent on photos. Did not really bother us, but worth mentioning.

Modern,clean, well maintained. Everything you need is there. Quiet location, good neighbourhood. Nick (manager) is really welcoming and Pablo (maintenance) has lots of stories to share. The owner has made the villa a place you don’t want to leave with the attention to the small details, and she keeps in touch for anything you need.

There is nothing not to like.
