Good experience overall, if you have a picky wife for cleanliness, this is not a place for you. The basement had that mold smell. We had not use for the badement though. It is a great place/value for the money, especially if you dont need all the bedrooms. Plenty of room and rooms

An overall wonderful stay. The house was clean, spacious and as pictured. Bob is a very thorough and responsive host. There were unexpected flights of stairs from the street level to the house but once you're there, Bob has provided a full range of activities and experiences, both indoors and outdoors, and there are many things to do within walking/boating distance.

This home has plenty of room for an extended family to spread out and find privacy, a fully stocked kitchen and ample dock space for our two boats. It's also on a quite spot in Henderson cove away from the busiest spots on the lake. Great play room for the younger kids stocked with games as well. The host was informative and respected our privacy. Great vacation spot!

My wife and I were visiting friends and family in North Jersey for three days. This was the perfect home base. While we didn't get to take advantage of all the amenities, the bed was comfortable, the place was clean, and it was big enough for my wife and I to spread out and work during the day. Would love to come back in the summer.

Loved everything about this property and we'll definitely be booking this rental again on our next visit back home. We moved out of the area years ago but come back to visit family often and booked this lake house for our holiday trip as it's close to both my mother and my sisters homes by the lake. We arrived late in the evening and Bob had the home well lit and toasty warm for us (this was during the extreme cold snap in December). Communication with the host was clear and everything we needed was easily accessible. Check in and check out was a breeze. The house was well appointed with conveniences throughout, large and inviting, with plenty of amenities for the adults, toys for my son to enjoy, etc. There were even some holiday decorations as we stayed the week before Christmas which was a nice touch for my 6yr old. Overall the rental was exactly as pictured and what we were looking for. Thanks for having us, Bob. We'll be back next year!

Just enjoyed a GREAT stay at the Leisure Lake Lodge. The house was huge with plenty of space for our family. We weren't lacking for anything - comfy beds, soft sheets, nice towels, hot tub, pool table, comfy couch, and a huge game room for the kids. Even in the late-Fall, this lodge was a great, relaxing get away. (Admittedly nicer than our home in Arizona!) Bob was very attentive and communicative and we appreciated his pride in the property. He was very accommodating with our busy travel schedule. Highest recommendation - we cannot wait to return!

We enjoyed our stay and had perfect September weather. The house was well-kept, roomy and comfortable. We spent a lot of time on the deck right outside of the open concept living area, with a beautiful view of the lake. There is another deck above the boat garage with comfortable outdoor lounge furniture and an indoor room with ping pong, and we felt like we were right on the water. The house is a few doors down from Lola's restaurant and you may occasionally be serenaded by some mariachi music as you're enjoying the deck, but it never went past 9 pm and it was just on the weekend. Bob was great and very helpful in explaining the property.

Bob's home had all the amenities for our family of 7. Each of the 4 bedrooms were clean, comfortable and roomy....especially the master bedroom with the jacuzzi tub and the kids room with PLENTY of toys and games to keep them amused on a rainy day. We loved having the use of the 2 kayaks. We also rented the boat for one day but unfortunately it was the day after remnants of Hurricane Ida so we could only putt around the lake slowly.

Overall great trip! We had great weather and we were able to utilize the decks and jacuzzi. Very tranquil surroundings and great parks for hiking.

My family and I had a wonderful long weekend away at this property. The house is well appointed and beautifully situated on the lake. The lake was frozen over when we arrived but over the course of our stay, warmer temperatures brought a slow thaw and we got to enjoy a couple days out on the large deck that is off the main floor. The main floor is an open concept of kitchen/dining area/living room with basically a whole wall of windows to enjoy the view. The master bedroom/closets/bathroom occupied the whole top floor, also with a great view of the lake. My kids loved the lowest level which has the bunk beds, games and foosball table (they felt like they had their own apartment), as well as the ping pong table in the boathouse. The hot tub was also quite the treat. The host Bob was very responsive when I had some questions. I would love to return in warmer weather. Note that the steps to get down to the house from the parking are a bit steep, so just be prepared for that if you are traveling with people who are less mobile. Overall great stay.

Terrific solo getaway from nyc. Bob was a terrific host. I was confident that the home was COVID safe and that I would be safe staying there alone. Great wifi, comfy home, terrific view. Bring nespresso pods or coffee for the drip coffee maker. Aside from that, everything is provided. Highly recommend and look forward to returning someday with a group to take full advantage of the home and its many amenities.

A beautifully updated property just about an hour away from NYC with wonderful amenities and good communication from property management. Wouldn't mind coming back here!

We had a very fun weekend for my 6year olds birthday! His favorite part was the hot tub ! The toy room was a big hit for my 3 year old as well. Bob was great and provided everything we needed. I packed too much. The house was beautiful, well equipped and you couldn’t beat the surroundings! Thanks for having us! Molly G

The lakehouse was amazing. The views, the amenities and the house itself was perfect. My kids loved the downstairs playroom with all the toys. Bob the host was very informative and helpful. We will most definitely be visiting again soon

The house is beautiful, the lake is peaceful, the location is amazing. There is a restaurant in walking distance if you are hungry or take a short ride to other great places to eat. My husband and I stayed for our anniversary and it was the perfect experience. No doubt we will be back.

We celebrated a special birthday with our family at the Leisure Lodge lake house and the accommodations were perfect. Bob, the owner, met us at check in to tour the house and answer any questions. Spotlessly clean, comfy beds, and the view of the lake was fantastic. Although it was a bit chilly, we were able to enjoy the sun deck and some fishing off the dock. Our son enjoyed the kayak. Our grandsons had a blast especially with the toys in the bunk room. Although my husband and I are active senior citizens, the stairs could be a bit much but all in all a great place!

We had an excellent five day stay at this property. The house was clean, well maintained, equipped and had fantastic views. We rented the boat with the property and spent the day enjoying lake. Other days we just enjoyed the views, the hot tub and eating on the deck. Bob was a gracious host and answered all our questions. I would stay at this property again.

We really enjoyed our time at Lake Hopatcong. Bob was a great host, showing us all the ins and outs of the house at check in. The views of the lake from both decks are amazing, it was a treat having morning coffee out there. We rented his boat as well for a few days and that really made the week just getting to be out on the lake especially being able to dock at restaurants. Overall a great little escape during these crazy times.

The house was everything we expected. Very clean and with everything you need, and beautiful views from the decks. The grandkids loved being out on the boat (we rented the boat as well) and they loved catching fish right at the house docks. Bob was an excellent host. Easy to reach if need be. He takes care in the details to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. We will be renting again.
