Our extended family of 6 adults and 2 kids spent a week at this incredible home and enjoyed every minute. We’ve rented a bunch of homes around the country over the years and this one definitely tops the list. Super clean, comfortable and to call it well stocked would be a gross understatement. This home had everything you could wish for and more - from the kitchen and pantry to the bathrooms to the recreational equipment - they’ve truly thought of it all. The deck is special - very spacious and comfortable with beautiful Lassen views. Easy walking distance to Rec area and tennis courts. Completely exceeded expectations and we can’t wait to come back!

We have been coming to Lake Almanor with our extended family for years and this house was spectacular! The hosts literally thought of everything you could need and were so generous with special touches from a welcome basket to use of their paddle boards and kayaks. Gorgeous views of Mt. Lassen in beautiful bay. The deck overlooking the lake is huge with lots of room to relax and take in the views. The beds are comfortable and everything was so clean. Kathy was very responsive with any question we had. Thank you for making our stay so special. We hope to come back next year!

We had an awesome time at the Kaner’s house at Lake Almanor! The home is beautiful, spacious, and very clean. The kitchen is fully stocked - from spices to cooking gadgets. There is both an indoor and an outdoor dining room tables that sit 10 people very comfortably. We loved sitting on the outdoor deck and the dock, and we enjoyed the beautiful views of the lake and Mt. Lassen. We also had a blast using the stand-up paddle boards and kayaks that come with the house. Kathy and Carol are fantastic hosts, and they were very welcoming and easy to communicate with. We definitely hope to be able to come back and stay here again!

Kaner's House was perfect for the 8 of us! Grandparents, our children, and our two grandsons 10 & 12 each had own room! The house is lovely and doesn't disappoint! The kitchen is perfect for several people to cook in-& boy did we!! Early mornings spent outside on the huge deck over looking the Lake were beautiful & peaceful. The dock and all the water toys were awesome, and made it very handy for the boat! We hope to return! Thank-you so much Kathy for a wonderful week! It's well cared for and has such a strong family home feel. We came at a time when supply chains in the US were disrupted enough that many essential items were unavailable at the store, but the house was stocked with absolutely everything we could need. There are puzzles and games, kayaks and paddleboards, and plenty of life jackets in different sizes. Everyone had such a fantastic time and the kids loved having their own bunk bed room. The kitchen in particular is fully equipped with cookware and a very nice set of knives (I've never before seen a short-term rental with good knives!) and a full, large pantry. We brought our own foodstuffs of course, but it was nice to not have to go to the grocery store if we wanted a tablespoon of flour. The view from the deck is gorgeous and the house is comfortable and clean. We will definitely be returning!

Very well equipped, comfortable, with family in mind. Waking up to see the lake and beautiful mountain was spectacular! The AC was perfect! The parking space was more than enough for all our toys! We had a wonderful time at this lovely property. I've rented many places and I've never seen such care given to the needs of the guests than at this property. The pantry, the bathrooms, the rec rooms were stocked with everything you could possibly need to make the most of your stay. It felt more like a home than a rental.

So comfortable for our family of 9! Clean and organized! A generous welcome basket with coffee, wine, and even some juice for the littles, and snacks! Thanks so very much! Bedroom layouts and sleeping arrangement options were a great fit for us! Lots of warm blankets for cozying up with the grandkids. Kitchen tools were the best stocked I’ve seen in any VRBO we’ve stayed in! So if you like to cook I think you’ll have all you will need here! Spacious living room, dining areas and seating, spacious deck and property! Lots of windows and light! Beautiful views of lake and Mount Lassen’s snowy peak! River otters frolicking on the boat dock in the early morning! Eagles, ducks, fish jumping! A short walk to the playground for the littles! When we were leaving one of the littles ran back into the house, she didn’t want to leave! We could definitely relate! We will be back during warmer weather for sure! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We enjoyed a lovely weekend at the lake house. Kathy has made her home so welcoming, that you feel like you are renting from friends. Every amenity you could think of! Lots of fun cooking in the kitchen and relaxing in front of the fire.

Kathy was truly an amazing host. Our stay got delayed due to the fires and smoke in northern CA. Kathy was accommodating and made our unfortunate change of plans an un-stressful experience. We will definitely return next year and hopefully repeatedly in years to come.

Kathy was an amazing host. Knowing the air quality was going to be poor, she let us change our trip late in the game. We are extremely appreciative and while we didn’t get to stay at her place, I can only imagine it is wonderful.

Our week on Lake Almanor was outstanding! The lake was stunning and the house offered everything to make the trip memorable for my family and friends. * The Dock offered easy to access paddleboards and kayaks, an ideal spot for morning coffee and sunset cocktails * The Deck was huge with tons of seating arrangements. This is where we spent the most time from dining al fresco, lounging in chaises post tubing to playing poker games at night. * The Home was clean, offered great sleeping arrangements, and plenty of space to hang out. The master was a huge bonus that offered two smaller rooms with beds with a full and twin for my boys. * The Kitchen was wonderful - every pot, pan, sharp knives, platters, all utensils, coffee machines, and a pantry fully stocked with everything you might need from soy sauce, sugars, flours of every variety, and the list goes on * All the things. The house is fully stocked with chairs, coolers, outdoor blankets, cornhole, life jackets, noodles, tubes, skis, games, puzzles. You really don't need to bring anything. * Major's Outpost outfitted us with boats during our stay (speed boats, paddleboats, skis, boards) and were so awesome and accommodating in every way. LAKE ALMANOR is where it is at. And this property is where we will be! Thanks Kathy for thinking of every last detail to make this the best vacation for our family!

Wow! What a fantastic week we had at this home! This was our 19th summer renting at Lake Almanor. This year didn’t feel like we were at a rental, but at a 5-star resort. Beautifully decorated, a well-stocked pantry and kitchen with plenty of dishes, cookware, and utensils. The welcome basket with coffee and snacks was a great surprise, and the air conditioning was a huge plus! Very good quality linens and comfy beds. Lots of great seating on the deck and the dock, and we had a great time using the paddleboards and kayaks they provided. The owners thought of everything. We already have our reservation for next summer!

This home is awesome. We have rented 4 different homes on Lake Almanor and this is by far the most well stocked and setup home for family fun. Communication with the homeowner was easy and quick. The house is comfortable and has everything you will need for a fun vacation. We were so overjoyed to find the kitchen well stocked with the essentials (condiments, spices, all cooking equipment and literally anything else you might need). The deck was comfortable and roomy, the dock was easy to access and there was plenty of parking. (We had three cars and two trailers and there was still plenty of parking.) There are games, sports equipment, and the kayaks and paddleboards and bicycles were a blast. The nearby trails for walking or bike riding were beautiful but it was fun just walk the neighborhood. The owners have made every accomodation to make this a comfortable and inviting place for any visitor. You definitely get your money's worth here. Highly recommended!
