10 stars!!! We loved it, so cozy and peaceful, we stayed for my husbands birthday and also New Year’s Eve , we never stayed in a cabin before or even been to NC and it was beautiful! Bob and Judy answered our questions and so so very kind always. Highly recommended ! If you like to hike, see waterfalls or just be cozy with hot chocolate , this is the place to stay.

My daughter was hit by a truck on Saturday morning. We had to come home . I told the owner what happened and he offered us a deal if we want to stay there again . My daughter had to go by ambulance to the hospital by herself and is lucky to be alive . I think that if he had a heart he would offer us a refund for the last two nights . I don’t care if it’s in the contract or not . It’s just common decency. We will never stay here again ! This is how I feel. All this owner cares about is money

Located in a great location to hiking trails and awesome waterfalls! Fully stocked kitchen and a grill made it nice to cook meals. Clean and cozy to stay in!

We had booked this cabin vacation over a year ago with the idea we’d be riding our motorcycle around the area. Well some health issue prevented us from riding our motorcycle, but we made the best of it riding in the car in this beautiful area. I don’t think we could have asked for a better week.

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cabin. Such a peaceful place, with a short drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, restaurants and the famous orchard at Altapass.

This cabin is just perfect for someone seeking a pristine and relaxing getaway. The cabin is clean and incredibly well stocked, having everything you would possibly need. The front porch is charming and the back porch provides a feel of being far away from the workaday world. We enjoyed that, although the cabin is remote and private, it is still close to places you would want to visit on day trips. Little Switzerland, Spruce Pine and Mount Mitchell are within easy reach for a meal out or hiking. Kudos to the owners for maintaining this cabin well and providing such a respite for their guests.

When the mountains are calling, staying at Bob and Judy’s comfortable cabin is the perfect place for resting and relaxing after hitting the trails in any of the mountain parks or chasing waterfalls. We stayed 2 weeks and still did not see all the points of interest in this area. Most of them are assessable from the scenic Blue Ridge parkway with the most breathtaking view’s especially to us NJ people. All were beautiful but our favorites were Crabtree Falls and Grandfather Mountain. Restaurants, Ingles grocery store and a Walmart only a few miles from the cabin. Bob and Judy put a lot of thought in building this cabin. It was comfortable for 3 adults and our dog. Our son used the loft area which was ideal for him. We mostly used AC which worked well or opened the windows . TV channel selection good. Cell phone service was not reliable but WiFi was fine. Kitchen adequate in appliances and cookware, dishes, etc. & convenient to have a dishwasher, washer and dryer. Only complaint was our mattress in main bedroom was sagging. We enjoyed drinking coffee on the front porch every morning as we planned our outings. We had no issues but it was nice to know our hosts were nearby. Bob gave us lots of tips on the area. What a gem this cabin is!! If you’re looking for a very clean, well stocked, beautiful Vrbo home for respite in the mountains of NC, look no further. My friend and I enjoyed several days of bliss in this well kept, beautiful, solidly built, stunning house. We loved every minute in its cozy cedar walls. Great care for comfort, and thoughtful details were provided by the amazing hosts in every precious corner of this sturdy, gorgeous house. The porch out front and out back, only extend the fabulous living quarters of this prize vacation home tucked into the mountains. Just book it… you won’t regret it. This log home is beautiful, cozy, comfortable beds, well stocked, and in a gorgeous location. It was one of the quietest places we have ever stayed. We cooked elaborate meals and had every kitchen item we needed at our fingertips. The home is on the mountain, Spruce Pine NC, very very close to gem mines, just off the Blue Ridge Parkway with its lovely overlooks and quaint villages. We highly recommend this home to others.

I can’t imagine this wouldn’t be the perfect place to stay whatever the reason you are in the area.

We loved our stay here. The cabin is located close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and is surrounded by rhododendron and woods. It is close to waterfalls and hiking trails. Do be aware that internet connectivity and cell service is spotty. With Verizon, we could text but could not receive calls. There is wifi in the cabin, but it is slow and not all sites would load. It is a great place to get away from it all but don't expect to be able to work remotely here. We loved it.

Exceptionally clean secluded and very peaceful cabin. Very comfy and homey. If you are looking for a Serene and peaceful environment this is the place to go! It is also pet friendly so that is a bonus!

Beautiful little cabin tucked in the mountains of NC. Little Switzerland only minutes away. "Neighbors" were a little close but no one bothered us at all. Friendly and helpful manager. Cozy small family or couples retreat.

Nice location.. secluded from traffic in nature in the mountains. Very safe feeling. Property was very clean and well stocked with supplies and extras such as dog bowls/condiments/toilet paper/paper towels/soap. There was a fully enclosed deck off the back which was nice to let the dog be outside a bit. Property also has a much nicer and newer Rv than shown in the listing photos.

Me, The wife, & or 2 dogs stayed here for a week. And it was an amazing peaceful get away from the everyday life. The cabin was everything we expected and more.

If anything, the listing understated the beauty of the property. This is a marvelous getaway location. Such a blessing..

House was well equipped and cleaned but we could not reach the owner of the property when we needed. Couch and bed are outdated therefore poor sleeping quality. Overall positive experience of the location of property and cleaness. Thank you.

Cozy Log Cabin nestled in the woods. Hidden away on a private drive next to the Blue Ridge Parkway, yet close enough to Little Switzerland for sightseeing and Spruce Pine for restaurants and Walmart. The cabins kitchen is completely stocked with all the dishes, spices and etc that you will need. Wifi does not always work (that's because you're in the mountains) but it was actually nice to be "unpluged." Cable television works great. We loved the cabin!

If you are wanting to get away from work and all the noise, stay here. It is in the mountains and the drive up is peaceful and serene. In the mornings and evenings we went for walks and enjoyed the calmness of nature. We were taking classes in cutting gem stones and this home was perfect for our needs and very comfortable. It was furnished well with anything you would need on your trip. I loved having laundry access as we did all of that before going home saving us the headache when we got back. Highly recommend staying here and the owner lives a few houses up so could accommodate anything that was needed. Well definitely be staying here again.

The cabin was absolutely precious! We were in awe of the high wood ceilings and beams the moment we walked in. The photos don’t do it justice! It was so cozy, very clean and well stocked. The front porch was awesome with Amish rockers and a swing. Surrounded by mountain Laurel and beautiful plants and flowers it provided a peaceful location for a morning cup of coffee or evening glass of wine. We spent time there enjoying wildlife. The property was centrally located between Asheville and Boone, providing quick and easy access to The Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain and Mount Mitchell, in addition to many waterfalls! The owners were on property and were wonderful hosts. It’s obvious they take a lot of care to insure their renters are satisfied and have everything they need. We would highly recommend this rental!!
