Location was superb! Huge house in the forest with several rooms for rent, big garden. Nice and quiet environment. Really kind and helpful owners.

We stayed for 3 nights and missed every breakfast (which started from 08:30) because we had to leave early in the mornings. Perhaps a take-away breakfast would be an option for guests who cannot join breakfast.

Both breakfast and location were excellent. The owners were very friendly and helped us with our luggage.

No elevator for the very high winding stairs.

Breakfast was delicious. The breakfast room was large, bright and open. The bedroom was spacious with an ensuite shower and separate toilet within the room. There was a large private balcony off the room with lots of seating and a view of the gardens and beyond. There is a sitting room with a help yourself small bar (write down what you've taken and pay later) and microwave, near the entrance of the house. The cider is delicious! The house is large with a very peaceful ambience.

Happy with everything.

Very nice breakfast and a very considerate and friendly host. During our stay we participated one evening to the 'table d'hôte' which was also a nice experience. The location is a good starting point for hiking.

It was so festively decorated, rooms were spacious and well-appointed - one of the comfiest beds ever!!; breakfast was delicious!!

Parking was a bit of a struggle (but I also have an SUV). We made it work.

We booked a double room and the suite for our 3 daughters. The place is beautiful, the rooms are spacy and comfortable. The location is great - close to Bergheim, Ribeauvillé, Requiwihr - amazing towns. Very nice breakfast! And the best part - the hosts are so nice and helpful! And they speak English! Oh, and there's an electric piano there. What else could I ask for? ;)

A lot of stairs, if you stay on the third floor. Not very comfortable for big luggage, but reasonable.

Large, well-equipped room with balconies. Lovely house with beautiful library/breakfast room and very pleasant sitting room with coffee/tea available all day and night. Delightful hostess who speaks German, French and English. Great that Dagmar accepts dogs. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend. Very good location for exploring the wine region of Alsace.

Not a dislike, but need to be aware there are lots of steps and stairs.

The warm reception, clean spacious rooms, excellent host and wonderful breakfast. Lovely, very quirky house that has been refurbished to an excellent standard.

Nothing for us, however there are quite a few steps on a lovely spiral staircase that have to be negotiated (52 I think to the top floor bedrooms), but once there the views are stunning and it's very cosy.

If I had to summerize how I think a B&B place should be, I'd say it should be like La Sapinière. A very comfy bed with quality sheets, a big terrace with view on the greens, a fresh yummi breakfast and a host that perfectly knows how to treat her guests. Dagmar is there when you need her, she treats kindly and respectfuly while taking distance when needed to provide a great sense of privacy. You can tell she loves her work. The location is pretty great: a small town and direct access to beautiful nature. The forrest op on the hill are just wonderful. When booking this place, you can trust an excellent stay.

Just to mention some, but there were no things that really did something to make our stay anyhow less good. It's near the road, but it actually didn't bother that much. The wifi was slow in our room (nr 3) so we switched back to 4G on the phone. No fridge in the room, but a common one in the corridor.

A great place to stay - rustic atmosphere, comfortable room, smell of forest, wonderful breakfast in the lush garden, great walks nearby, a kind and thoughtful hostess - it’s perfect!

Beautiful room with en-suite bathroom which was exceptionally clean and well equipped. Fabulous breakfast provided and the host was lovely and friendly. Perfect location, would highly recommend.
