We loved staying at this little cottage tucked off Highway 101 in Yachats. A long tree-lined driveway ends with a clearing and cottage complete with beautiful perennial gardens and a relaxing porch. The cottage was very clean and cozy, with pride of ownership throughout. While we didn’t do much cooking, the kitchen was well-stocked with high end kitchenware. We have been to Yachats a number of times and it never disappoints. The ocean vistas, forest trails, and quaint town draw us back each time. We were able to walk into town from the cottage. We had a little trouble finding the little driveway off 101, wish there was better signage or more detailed arrival instructions.

The instructions for accessing the rental were very easy.
The location was excellent, although it was up on the hill surrounded by beautiful trees/forest and not with the typical ocean view home we generally rent.
Excellent customer service - We initially thought the heating system in the bedroom could not be turned off. I reached out to my contact and got an immediate response.
Fairly dark at night outside the cottage...porch light isn't too bright. So, suggest bringing a flashlight if you'll need to give your dog a last walk at night.

I cozy, comfortable cabin with all necessary amenities! I short walk to town and an even shorter walk to the beach. Communicating with property management was a breeze! Highly recommend this little abode.

This cozy cottage with the sound of waves crashing in the front and an undisturbed, ancient forest in the back was the perfect home base for our adventures in Yachts.
It could not have been more perfect.
Our plan is to make this our September spot for the next few years.

The listing was accurate. The quality of items in the kitchen and living area are high—better than my home. I just wished there was a propane grill for cooking outside. Would definitely book again.

We really enjoy staying here because it is quiet and beautiful. You feel like you’re in a little cottage in the woods, but you minutes from dining and the beach. This was our second stay and we will come back again!

The rough, rutted, muddy trail uphill through the woods belies the jewel of a little house that lies at the end. Wood living room with cathedral ceiling and view of the woods, cozy bedroom, small efficient kitchen, a charming, clean cottage minutes from the beach, downtown Yachats and the spectacular headlands of Cape Perpetua.

Yachats and this property are perfect for a short getaway, to unwind and relax. The bed is comfortable and the kitchen had what I needed to make small meals. Weekend perfect!

The fantastic book collection alone had us wanting to stay in this warm, bright cabin another week. We were surrounded by trees and birdsong every day. The gated back deck was perfect for the pooch and they even included a nice pet care basket to use during the stay with bowls, towels, a blanket, and toy.
A short walk down the dirt road and across the highway brings you to a beautiful beach where the river flows into the ocean. Another 10 minute walk gets you to downtown Yachats.
We can't wait to come back.

The house was cute, but very small. The outdoor space was nice, but it was too cold to sit outside. I love that they had many DVDs to watch, which was fun. We were there with our teenager and he slept on the pull out couch. We didn't realize the couch is an air mattress, which was easy to inflate but hard to deflate and reassemble the bed. My biggest complaints with the house is that the pull out bed was filthy when we pulled it out and the main bed was hard as a rock. Very uncomfortable. And to top it off the main bed had a jean comforter and pillow cases, which was very hot and scratchy. I didn't even know jean material was a thing for bedding! The bedroom gets really hot with the door closed as well. Overall, not being able to sleep well is sort of a deal breaker for me so probably won't go back even though everything else was really nice and cute, except the beds.

This is a beautiful cabin located in the woods with a short walk to the beach. It is also a short walk to town which is great when there is a lot of folks in town (parking is limited). Lots to see and do in the area. Walked the 804 trail along the coast and spent time looking for shells. Local food was great and fresh. The cabin is stocked with everything you would need to spend a relaxing time away from home. The instructions for everything are well thought out and located where you would need them. Enjoyed browsing the books and the DVD movies. Will be coming back.

We recently stayed at Gwen’s cabin. It has everything for a relaxing Oregon coast vacation. It is nestled in the coastal old growth forest and located only minutes from the beach and town center.

Dream cottage!
Loved my two night stay in this sweet cottage on my solo get-away with my little dog. So much great kitchen stuff so easy to cook and I felt set back from the hub-bub even though the town is within walking distance. Beach is across the street. Loved.

Cozy, clean, comfy cabin
My husband and I enjoyed staying at this sweet property. The bed is super comfortable - we slept great! We also appreciated the book selection and tasteful artwork. Our only disappointment was not being able to get the gas fire place to light, but we decided not to bother the property manager about it because it was late. Oh, and the TV remote batteries were dead, including the extras, but that is a minor complaint. Everything else was lovely.

Better than advertised.
I chose this cottage as a writers retreat for a week and it functioned perfectly. Comfortable, clean, and quiet. Could not have asked for more.

Great way to avoid the snow & ice
Spend a long weekend here avoiding the ice and snow in Portland - the 804 Trail and Cape Perpetua provided wonderful hiking for myself and the dog. Thank you.

Guinevere's Cottage
We found the cottage to be clean, comfortable and tastefully well-appointed with all we could have possibly needed. The location is convenient to Yachats and Cape Perpetua State Park with its trails and fabulous views. We stayed five days/nights but when it came time to head home, we found ourselves feeling as though another day or two at Guinevere's Cottage wouldn't have been too much. It truly is a very pleasant accommodation for two.

Gwen Cottage sits in a very private opening in the forest easy walking distance from Yachats. This little cabin is beautifully built and tastefully furnished. So much of its charm is in the care and thoughtfulness of the decor which consists mostly of hand crafted art. Very tidy and clean. No scented cleaners are used which is so appreciated by those with allergies to scent. The kitchen is exceptionally well stocked with everything any cook would need and small appliances are of high quality. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.
