We had a really nice week at this place. A large livingroom/kitchen with enough space for the kids. It's true, it's next to the main road but our children slept very well with closed windows (and open doors). Unfortunately the internet (WLAN and LTE) was extremly slow and not usable for watching movies. A mixer in the kitchen would be a marvellous feature...

Très bon séjour dans un appartement spacieux et bien organisé. Vue sur le lac. Le seul bémol est la proximité de la route très passante.

Logement très bien situé pour accès plage, cuisine et salon très bien équipés , jolie propriété. Seul bémol fenêtres ouvertes trop bruyant avec la route et hauteurs sous plafond trop basse...( loft)

We had a great stay in this flat. Only in some spaces in the flat the ceiling or the wooden planks are quite low. Also the road is a bit loud. But the flat is very close to the lake and with the bicycles it is not far to the next bakeries. I can recommend this appartment!

Well appointed property in a great location very close to Lake Annecy at the Southern end. Great kitchen and balcony to eat outside. Nice shared gardens. Just note that the ceiling beams are quite low in places and you need to remember to stoop at times! Can be noisy as close to main road but it didn’t bother us. A great place to stay.

I must say that we and my family had an excellent stay at Yvonne home, that in fact it is, a sweet home. Everything run as planned, wonderful place lovely home. Fully recommended. We will be back Regards Jose Marques

This is a lovely apartment consisting of the entire top floor of a large detached building. Well equipped and nicely situated within walking distance of a beach and easy driving distance of many great tourist attractions. Yvonne was very helpful and friendly when we needed her too. The ceiling is a little low in parts, I'm only 5'10" and had to duck a lot but it's no big deal. Would definitely stay again if coming back to the area.

Really close to the lake and beautiful balcony to enjoy the superb views.

We stayed in the lovely and spacious loft appartment. It is very well quipped and we enjoyed our dinners at the balcony. Having the lake within walking distance made it possible to go for several swims during the day. The traffic noise from the road was a bit loud, but it would not prevent us from coming back!

This is a beautiful property in a beautiful location and had all a family with two teenagers could want - we had a great holiday at Lake Annecy and look forward to returning again

We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Villa Anne-Marie and the surrounding area. We were overwhelmed with the beautiful scenery – it has to be seen to be believed. The Loft Apartment was fantastic and exceeded our expectations - nothing had been forgotten, which made our stay perfect. We cannot recommend both the area and Villa Anne-Marie highly enough; indeed, it is very tempting to be selfish and make this our best kept secret. One word easily sums up our holiday: idyllic.

Simply put... we did not want to go to sleep on the night before our departure because it meant we would have to wake up the next morning and leave! Friends for 30 years, we are three ladies that now live in different cities, in different countries so a get-together at Lake Annecy has been the most important and exciting thing on our agenda for the past 6 months. We were not disappointed! We were in the loft apartment at Villa Anne-Marie in Doussard. Wow! stunning is an understatement! You can visibly see the love that Yvonne & Carl have for the villa in the beautiful way they have restored the property… blending the old wooden beams in the open plan lounge/dining room/kitchen area with modern appliances and utilities to make for easy and comfortable living. The balcony off the TV lounge is marvelous for sun-downers and al fresco dinners. All three bedrooms have magnificent old pieces of furniture, adding to the ambience. The beds are really comfortable too. And then there’s the garden! Lying on a lounger, soaking up the sun, surrounded by perfectly manicured trees, plants and flowers makes you feel like you have been dropped into paradise. Our only complaint would be the sound of the constant traffic going by but even that becomes background noise after a while. We relied on the water taxi and the bus to get us to Annecy and the other small places around the lake but then decided to hire a car for a few days to give us more flexibility and enable us spend more time at the places we really liked, namely Taillores and Menthon-St. Bernard. Swimming in the lake is just wonderful at these two areas. While we popped into the closest restaurant, Chez Ma Cuisine for coffee and/or drinks on a number of occasions, we decided to have dinner at Spinnaker on our last evening. Everything - the setting, the food, the wine, the service was perfect and a fitting end to a fabulous week of fun, laughter and many other happy memories. Yvonne, we thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us (and for answering our emergency call to come and fetch us from the store with all our groceries). We rented the house for a girls get away for my 40th birthday and could not have wished for better. Real luxury accommodation. Perfect location for access to water sports, great garden for long lazy bbq, easy access to everything needed. I particularly recommend taking the ferry (just across the road) to get into Annecy town for a night our rather than drive or worry about taxis - its a cruise in its own right. AND most of all Carl and Yvonne - what great hosts - you thought of everything. Thank you so much it was perfect.

The apartment was excellent, great location, very clean and bright. Carl and Yvonne where perfect hosts which made for a very relaxing and enjoyable week. We were able to do some excellent bike rides in the area (great way to get around), walks and swims. Will definitely recommend this to friends.

2 Friends and myself stayed for an excellent week in this lovely apartment. We came for the paragliding and this flat is ideally placed and although its on the main road in never bothered us. We invited friends over for a meal and found the kitchen much better equipped than i'd of thought and i think they'd also like to rent it in the future, we certainly shall.

We enjoyed a fabulous week at this apartment. Many happy meals were prepared in the superbly equipped kitchen and eaten on the balcony complete with stunning views over the mountains. From here you can admire the skills and courage of the colourful "parapenters" who throw themselves off the nearby cliffs and glide down to Doussard (whilst clutching your chilled glass of Savoie Blanc). The proximity to the busy road does make the early mornings a little noisy but that is the only slight downside to a beautifully renovated property. It's a two minute walk away from the beach where you can take a boat trip to/from beautiful Annecy - recommended (if a little pricey). Alternatively you can hire bikes to cycle the 9 miles or so to the head of the lake if you feel more energetic. Being less than athletic, we contented ourselves with a 30-minute stroll to the nearby village of Doussard where there was a well-stocked small supermarket, excellent boulangerie and boucherie. We all loved our stay here, the apartment has been tastefully renovated and has some lovely features. The beach is a very short walk away and our children loved it, visiting every day. We were able to arrange a mooring for our boat at the port there (with help from the owners) and this made for easy waterskiing which was the prime reason for our trip. We also hired bikes just 5 mins walk away and cycled into Annecy which was great fun and not too far. Our only issue would be the proximity to the very busy road, but this is really unavoidable if you want to be close to the lake and the garden is beautiful with lots of large shrubs that shield the noise. Also it can get very hot since the apartment is on the top floor but we coped ok despite very hot weather. The owners were really helpful and we would strongly recommend a stay here.
