You are not staying in someone’s vacation property but in their home. The home was warm, comfortable, and fully equipped. Communication with the owner was excellent before and during the stay. This is a great location on the lake and it was great to have kayaks and the lily pad. I would recommend renting a boat before arrival if you do not have one.

The lakehouse was perfect for us! It had two bedrooms upstairs with their own bathrooms that worked perfectly for the grandparents, and two more bedrooms downstairs with plenty of beds and an additional living area. The back porch was wonderful. We enjoyed being out there and admiring the view of the lake.

We have a wonderful experience in this clean and well appointed home. The owner was very kind and responsive. Would love to stay here again!

We had booked Debbie’s home last minute after our plans had changed unexpectedly. She was able to quickly get arrangements made for a great stay at her home. She was friendly and always available via phone or text with questions. Debbie’s suggestion on steaks at Market 34 was spot on! Best steaks I’ve ever grilled! Her home was comfy, inviting and very spacious. The location was amazing, tucked into a cove with a place for our boat. The fall weather was perfect for nightly fires at the fire pit. We did not get a chance to use the kayaks or pedal boat, but appreciated that they were there as an option. Maybe next time! Overall, a great find on Lake Martin! Thank you Debbie and family!

I traveled to the area with several colleagues for an Auburn football game (we work for an opposing university). Since we were working for most the trip, we did not spend as much time at the house as we would have liked--but the time we did spend there was wonderful! The house was clean and comfortable... especially the beds (everyone slept well both nights). Thankfully, it was an early kick-off so we were able to come back and enjoy the beautiful lake before sunset! Debbie was a joy to work with--both before and during our visit. She provided clear instructions for check-in, and then also followed up via text to make sure we settled in ok. Can't wait to find another reason to come back to Lake Martin and stay!

Very quiet and peaceful property! Perfect place to swim with kids! Zero boat traffic in this location.

The house was as pictured, very comfortable and well-appointed. There are beautiful lake views from upper and lower porches, a nice dock and swimming area. We would definitely come back!

There were a few things we wish we would have known before we rented the property. A big one for us was the boat trailer. After we already rented the property, Debbie called to tell us we couldn’t leave our boat trailer at the property. I completely understand why because there isn’t room and you share that small area with neighbors, but we wish we would have known before. Also the thermostat is set at 70. Our first night was miserable and honestly we just thought the house needed to cool because we checked in so late. Second night we contacted Debbie super late and she responded immediately. She dropped it to 68 and everyone slept much better. It’s the downstairs that gets so hot. The dock needs some work and one short post had nails on the top. That’s concerning with small kids. Also the steps at the dock were all very slimy and if you aren’t careful you can easily slip. The water at the dock is very deep. There are lots of rocks there as well with the slimy stairs so we didn’t swim there very much. The entire house needs a deep cleaning. The baseboards, white trim, and doors were all just dirty. Under all the furniture hasn’t been cleaned in a very long time. In the master bedroom is a tub with jets. The jets weren’t cleaned at all. Just black goo coming out of them. I did tell Debbie and she thanked me for letting her know. I was told not to use that tub but I have a toddler with me. This is the upstairs master and there is another tub upstairs you can use. You just can’t use the one in the master bedroom. Also the swim mat had been torn by the people in front of us. We put it in the water but really didn’t use it much because of the rip. I wish we would have brought ours instead. Our kids did enjoy the kayaks and paddle boat. The paddle boat needs some serious cleaning. It would be helpful to label the lights or have a list of where and what switch controls which light. It was all confusing and the switch’s are backwards. So instead of pushing down, you push up. The door knobs are like that too. Instead of pushing down, you pull up. Honestly for the money we spent to rent this place I honestly think there should be a few changes. Especially with how unclean it was. I myself was sweeping and found gummies that weren’t ours. With young children with us, that’s a choking hazard. We did enjoy being on thei side of the lake that’s not to busy. We also saw deer and a bald Eagle at the property. Debbie is very easy to get ahold of.

We had a great time. The house was neat and clean. The adults loved the porches and the children loved all the lake toys. The house is situated on a quiet cove. Everyone wants to visit again.

We had a great experience with our rental. The property was beautiful and spacious with everything we needed! The owner was so helpful and a pleasure to deal with......we will definitely be back!

Truly not enough words to express how wonderful this lake place is. Debbie has created a relaxing and comfortable home. The location on the lake is private and beautiful. Everything you need is available. Debbie is wonderful to communicate with. The beds, linens and pillows were top notch. We all slept very well. Can't wait to come back again!

We could not have asked for better weather or accommodations, and the owners were always available if any problems arose! The fire pit provided the entire family with hours of evening stories and songs, and the sand box provided daytime play for everyone, even adults! The kayaks and paddle boat allowed us to explore the lake, and thanks to the owner’s recommendation on boat rentals, we enjoyed evening sunsets boat rides every evening! All ten of us had a comfy bed each evening, with the three couples in their own rooms, and all four kids in the two bunk beds! We made wonderful memories, and so glad that the Easter Bunny found us, leaving colored eggs all over the large property! Thanks for providing us with an opportunity to look back with fond memories!

My family felt right at home at this clean, well kept lake home. We caught fish, rode the paddle boat, played in the sand and rented a pontoon boat that we were able to dock at the house. I especially enjoyed coffee on the deck in the mornings as my kids fished, ages 10 and 8. They had tons of games for kids and we played them while it rained. Debbie was great at communicating and giving recommendations for places to eat and shop. We didn't get a chance to have a fire in the fire pit or play corn hole but we hope to return soon!

Secluded, beautiful views, tidy and beautifully decorated home, 2 huge porches to enjoy as well as a pier, floating dock, firepit, sand box for the kids, baby swing, kayaks and paddle boat...Everything you could ever need and want is here at Poston Place! My husband and myself, 16 year old and 2 year old were all happy and entertained without ever leaving the property except for water activities. We will be returning! 5+ Stars! Zero complaints or problems!

We traveled by car to meet family safely over the holidays. We found the property to be spacious, well-appointed, and secluded. The views of the lake were superb, and we enjoyed several fires (with smores!) around the fire pit. The highlight was the easy access to nearby hiking trails (see Cherokee Ridge Alpine Trail Association website for maps) at Smith Mountain and Cherokee Ridge. We traveled into Dadeville for groceries at Renfroe's and found all we needed. We spotted dear and bluebirds near and on the property. I would highly recommend this house for a family gathering. Comfortable beds, room to spread out, great spaces for a game night or watching a movie or sports. Would highly recommend, and if ever back in this area, I would want to stay at this location again!

Everything was as promised. So much room! Kids age 10,7,5 enjoyed their hikes In The woods, paddle boat across to Pirates Island, sand box and kayaks. Nighttime bonfires were a big hit, especially with s’mores! Thanks Debbie for sharing your beautiful home

Amazing lake experience! Beautiful, quiet home with everything you need in house and outside. Kids and adults loved kayaks, fire pit and sand area. This spot is in an area with not a lot of boat traffic so kids could be on kayaks safely. Host was really helpful and checked in to make sure things were okay. This worked out to be the best safe get away right now! Also grocery store and boat rentals were easy to get to. We loved this spot!

The house was in a great location on the lake!! We enjoyed the floating dock and swimming area. Fire pit was a great thing to have available. Would stay again. Owner was great to work with.
