The house was just right for our family get together, comfortable and clean. We spent a lot of our time enjoying the screened in back porch and the peaceful, quiet environment.

We really enjoyed this cabin! It’s not glamorous but functional and clean and everything a mountain cabin should be. The wood stove worked great and heated the place exceptionally well, we cooked full meals and had a nice touch football game in the front field. Bonus: VHS player and videos to watch in all their grainy glory! Would definitely come back and recommend to friends!

I have stayed here numerous times, and I enjoy each visit. They had just shampooed the carpet and have added a new smart TV. Both added to the quaintness of this place that is in the perfect location. It is in the middle of all of the restaurants, wineries, and breweries. It is also so nice to look at the window and see horses . Great Place!!!

Location and price is great!

All of the facilities were there as described on the VRBO listing. The location for peace and quiet excellent. Owner extreamly responsive and helpful to questions and verified that we were OK. All cell phone and internet service worked perfectly. TV programming was a bit of a challenge but we resolved it. House usage instructions and area information outstanding. Only drawback was that couch had damage but was going to be replaced. Carpet in kitchen needs refurbishing. Otherwise a great stay and we enjoyed the country scenery and screened in porch

My husband and two retired friends had a nice time at this house for the weekend. Very clean, very comfortable and the beds are so comfortable the normal 6:30 am riser slept until 9:00. This is the 2nd time renting the house and we will be back. Kathryn was always avalable if needed and extremely helpful. Beautiful views and grounds.

Lovely, cozy cabin in a beautiful, peaceful setting, just perfect for our graduation weekend/family hangout trip. Six adults (2 couples, 2 singles) were all comfortable, everyone had a bed (2 doubles, 2 twins), could have slept one more on sofa. Places to eat/get supplies just a very short drive away - conveniently close, but not so near that had any effect on the country, peaceful setting.

Our family has many April birthdays and we celebrated 3 of them in Nellysford. The weekend and cabin could not have been better! Thank you so much.

I have stayed here multiple times, and each time it has been an amazing visit. The cabin is comfortable, clean and the family who manages it are responsive and easy to work with.

If you're wanting a Virginia blue ridge mountains vacation, this is a great spot for exploring the area. It's also not too far from bigger towns and a grocery store in Nellysford (I mention this, as sometimes cabins can be REALLY far from anything--and this isn't). The kitchen isn't the best for involved cooking, but can handle the basics. There is carpet in the kitchen which is always a little sus, and overall the place needs a refresh and cleaning...still, a great value. The horses & pony, and short walks near the house were amazing for smaller kids. Communication with the host and information left in the house guidebook was all conveyed with a wonderful sense of warmth--a very welcoming and hospitable attitude that put us at ease...that is, the folks are not uptight and gave us no hassles.

Perfect for a family whether it is a long weekend or extended stay.

We book last minute and were very happy with this place. The old school charm was greatly appreciated. Although close to the other "same" farmhouses, there is plenty of outdoor space to enjoy.

Girls weekend away. This place fit the bill. A table for cards, 4 comfy beds and two baths was perfect. Loved the fact that one bathroom had a sink outside the toilet and shower area!!! We had a great time.

We had a great time staying here. It was so quiet and peaceful. Check in was easy and stress free as well as check out. The guest book was very helpful and detailed, answered every one of our questions.

We hade a wonderful thanksgiving time in this property, and good communication with the owners and the house keeper, also the people close to neighborhood were so friendly!!! And Definitely we will come back.

This house was in a great location with easy access to amenities such as golf, shops,wineries and restaurants. The views were amazing and plenty of places to walk on the grounds and visit horses. The house was well equipped and comfortable

Nice property is lovely location at the foot of the mountains and next to a horse farm. Easy access to Blue Ridge, Skyline Drive or Wintergreen. House built in 80's but well cared for and obviously well-loved.

This home was just the perfect weekend get- away home for my granddaughters, my daughters and me. We had plenty of bedroom and living space. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to cook in. We were very comfortable in this home. The neighborhood/area was perfect for walking and hiking. There were horses in front of the house and almost in the backyard. What a bonus this was for my granddaughters! We had a wonderful girls weekend in the area.

Lovely little ski chalet on a beautiful horse farm with wonderful views of the mountains. The host was very helpful with accommodations and area attractions. We had a wonderful weekend away for our anniversary!

We had a great end of summer stay and would definitely stay again. House has nice character, all the necessities and is in a pretty spot with nearby amenities. Owner quickly responded when I had a question before the trip.
