This beach cottage was exactly what we were looking for during our visit to Newport Beach. Not on the beach boardwalk (not what we wanted) but only off the beach by a minute or two walk - perfect. Because parking can be a challenge the added bonus of having a garage was great. The cottage itself has to be one of the cutest properties in Newport Beach. We would absolutely choose this location if we are fortunate to get out to this area again. Loved it!

Kristin communicated well with us from the get-go and responded quickly to any questions we had. The garage parking was perfect for our Ford Escape. The house was just right for us and our 2 grandchildren, ages 13 and 11. The kitchen was well equipped with a microwave, drip coffee maker and toaster. There was even a blender. And, ample cabinet and counter space. The Direct TV was appreciated by the kids! There were games stored in the coffee table which we enjoyed. The house is old and the outlet situation was a bit challenging but power strips were available in the main bedroom and living room. There was also a USB wall charger in an outlet in the dining area. So important with all our rechargeable technology! There was sufficient bath towels and hand soap and enough cabinet space to store our daily hygiene supplies. The dressers in both bedrooms provided more than enough space for clothing for 2 adults and 2 kids. The beds were so comfy. Fans were also provided as the house has no AC., in addition to a ceiling fan in the main bedroom. The main bedroom windows open, which was helpful as it was unusually warm for several days. The 2nd bedroom is more difficult to ventilate. We would leave the back door open, which is in that room. The entryway area of the small home was a perfect catch all area for items we didn’t want to leave outside, yet kept them out of the way. We were happy to be able to park our 4 bicycles just outside the back door. The walk to the beach was so convenient that we could use the our own bathroom and trot back to make sandwiches or grab anything we might have forgot. We used the chairs , the umbrellas, and a boogie board that are stored at the house. The front porch was a lovely location to relax. The street was peaceful, even though it’s busy as cars come and go frequently. We felt extremely safe, as well. The Pavilion grocery store is only a block away and the laundromat just down the street. There are many restaurants nearby. Very walkable!! We stayed a week. This was our first beach rental experience and it did not disappoint!

My husband, myself, and our four daughters stayed 3 nights and wish we could’ve stayed longer! We stocked up at the grocery store across the street and then either walked or biked to everywhere we wanted to go. Walked to the beach, dinner, shops, and rented bikes to ride along the boardwalk. Had plenty of space in the cottage and the host was so wonderful and made everything easy and smooth. Will return for sure!

Very nice place to take your family and hang out… And minutes from the beach

Location was great, simple walk to the beach. Unfortunately a large SUV does not fit in the garage, but we got lucky with street parking so not a big deal, otherwise parking is very competitive. Home is older and smaller, with unique traits and quirks. The single biggest issue is with the cleanliness of the home; including a distinct smell. The furniture (couch and beds) should be replaced, very old and not sure a cleaning would help. The bunk beds are a nice accommodation, but difficult to access as there is no ladder. The owners are very responsive and we were alerted when the home was ready, earlier than expected. Owner kept constant communication with me and answered all my questions about the area. Overall, the home is okay. The location is great. If you are wanting a trip to the beach with the family, this rental is a good option.

Location is very close to restaurants, grocery store, banks, beach, etc. Master bed was very comfortable. Kitchen fully equipped and refrigerator big. Only small disappointment was the upper bunk was hard to get in and one photo stated beach was straight in front of house (which is why we stayed there) but it’s actually a very short walk. Very tiny garage. Owner was terrific and we’d certainly stay again.

We had a great time at Newport Beach thanks to this amazing house! Walking distance to beach, groceries, good food. The kids loved access to the beach equipment. We rented bikes at a nearby shop for 2 days. Overall great southern Cali experience!

We live local and had to move out of our house for the weekend. Found this cute little beach cottage and couldn’t have been happier. The location is fantastic - you can see the beach from the patio. Convenient location you can walk everywhere! Dog friendly - the mailman gives dogs cookies too while on his route. We were able to park in the garage - score! House was really cute and nicely setup. But truly the highlight of the experience was dealing with the host - she was beyond kind, accommodating and highly communicative. Absolutely great experience- thank you!!

The hosts we’re great and extremely communicative. The house is cozy and had everything our family needed for our stay. This is within walking distance to many great coffee shops, restaurants, entertainment, and THE BEACH! There is access to a parking spot, albeit in a small garage, which was extremely beneficial given the high demand for street parking in the area.

Great rental spot right off beach. Great morning light, and extremely comfortable bed. We lover the historic charm and and character. Kristin was very nice and accommodating, and made the check-in and out very easy. This is a great location that puts you walking distance to the pier, Lido shops, and all the charms of Newport Beach.

Property owners were very communicative and helpful. The parking spot was extremely small so we couldn't fit our rental into it. Also there was small inspect issue at the property

Our family of 6 loved our recent stay here! The cottage offered everything we needed for a delightful Thanksgiving week at the beach. The place had close proximity to the ocean, was clean and bright and comfortable, and included all the kitchen amenities we could ask for.

Everything was perfect. Really appreciated the hosts timely response to any questions. I will definitely return.

Couldn’t ask for a better location! Anything you want or need is within walking distance. And the John Wayne Airport is a 10min drive or less. The neighborhood is friendly and quiet. The house is adorable and the front porch is a plus! We will definitely be going back!!

Our second stay at this lovely beach house. Well appointed house, short and reasonable walking distances (for all ages) to many things to do. Communication with owners was excellent; very responsive and friendly. Parking on street was not a problem. Street to beach relatively quiet considering is direct access to sand. Highly recommend this vacation rental.

Great location to the beach. Close to restaurants and shops. Love the front porch area and so nice to be able to clean off beach toys and sandy feet with the hose! Host was a great communicator and easy to contact.

The best property in Newport Beach. This was our second stay at the house and we will be back. The house is steps away from the beach.

We found the property to be quite charming and in the perfect location to everything. We parked our car right in front of the house and never used it again until the day we left. We either walked or rode our rental bikes every where. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would.

All as advertised. Great communication. Perfect location that is right between the hub bub of the pier and the grocery store. Having a garage to park in was a !!huge!! benefit. (Compact car only) I would stay here again for sure.

First, I'd like to thank the amazing host, Kristin, for keeping us informed of checkin, trash days, and checking out. She sent texts as needed. The house was clean and ready for us. The garage was a perfect size for my Hyundai Kona with paddle board on top. Loved the security of car in garage. Rare to find in a rental. The cabinets had all the basics, plus more. Spices, plates, grilling tools. Beautiful huge grill to use. We used it twice. The house is only a one minute from the beach and we did not have to lug all our stuff as we could easily go back if we needed something. HUGE perk! Laundry across the street. Easy and clean place. Mins from pavillion grocery, shopping and wonderful restaurants. I will be back!!! Thank you for making our vacation the best!

The place was perfect for our beach getaway with our pups! Cannot beat the location, it’s a quick walk to the beach and anything you need is within walking distance! Hosts were great! Food recommendations were on point and they made check in/out process a breeze! They were incredible accommodating throughout our stay we are forever appreciative!!!
