Pros : 30 minute walk from beach/ shops, trams links nearby, landlady was lovely she left fresh bedding&towels half way through my stay, she resolved issues with internet cutting out ,swiftly. There was not a key available for the mail box but landlady kindly provided. Teabags, sugar, coffee machine, toiletries, plug adapter, Netflix (bit of lag but overall okay) provided. The split air-con unit was not working so I was given an electric heater which was really helpful as Melbourne approaches Autumn/winter and the temperature is getting cooler. Cons: I was woken up by loud music from neighbouring flat(s) sometimes going on until,or starting at, 1-2am. I could hear doors slamming and loud yelling ,again in the early hours (5-6am). People would congregate and talk very loudly late into the night. Landlady explained that as Unfortunate as it was, this was inevitable in a block of units, anywhere. I however, have not encountered this while staying in apartments in Melbourne before. I had many nights of disturbed sleep here. Landlady did check in with me regularly but could not influence the noise levels. During every shower the hot water only remained hot for approximately 10 minutes before going cold. This was rather uncomfortable and inconvenient when i wanted a long shower. If not for these issues I would have certainly requested to stay longer here. All in all, a rather expensive one months stay with nights of interrupted sleep but overall cosy and nice.

Barbara was an amazing host. The apartment is warm, clean and tidy, has all the amenities you can think of, including a fast internet connection and parking, both of which were essential to me.The location of her apartment is easy and accessible to public transport as well. There was Netflix which helped with the quiet evenings and the layout of the apartment is super cute and compacted.
