Family and friends gathered back home in MI for a couple different family functions over the weekend. The house was perfect, as pictured but larger than expected with a wonderful amount of space. House was clean and kitchen and laundry were well stocked. Colby is a great host, with clear check in instructions and was easily accessible for questions. The backyard was also a pleasant space to hang out day and night. I would only have 2 recommendations; more hangers in the guest rooms and the rug in the family room was shedding somewhat. These were minor issues and didn’t affect the stay at all in a negative way. Just something that the next guests might benefit from. Oh also, the beautiful hydrangeas in bloom were also a pleasant surprise to greet us upon arrival.

I have to say this was probably our best VRBO experience. Colby was a fabulous host. Replied to messages, answered any questions we had, gave great food recommendations. The house was in amazing shape. Decorated so so nicely. Pictures were spot on! The location was perfect for us. We were there for a wedding in downtown Detroit with activities planned in Birmingham and they were all close Uber rides. No issues getting Ubers either. Thank you so much for having us Colby!

My family of 10 stayed here for my nieces wedding. The home was beautiful. There was plenty of space for everyone and enough bathroom space for everyone to get ready. The 3 teenage kids shared the basement space which had its own bathroom with a shower. The beds were comfortable. The neighborhood was great with nice sidewalks for morning walks. A small park with tennis courts was walkable. The kitchen was well stocked and great for gathering. The house was great!! Would definitely stay again.

We booked this home for a cousin's reunion during NFL Draft week. This house had everything we needed. Location is perfect, easy on and off the freeway. We enjoyed the backyard and fire pit. Traffic makes it a little loud, but the yard is fenced in and private. Lots of space in the home and beautifuly decorated. We had a great time and the host was great too. Book it. You won't regret it.

The house was fantastic. It more that met all of our needs. It was clean and lots of really nice touches. Plenty of towels, blankets and everything you’d need for your stay. A beautiful home.
Colby was a great host. Super communicative and was flexible on check-in and check-out times and the check-out process was as easy as I’ve experienced.

We stayed at the Pleasant Ridge property over the Thanksgiving holiday. The house was very comfortable for our family of eight and exceeded our expectations. Colby was a wonderful host and we hope to return some day.

We had a nice stay and Colby was very friendly and welcoming. The house had everything we needed and was comfortable and secure. We enjoyed seeing the bunny outside in the backyard each morning. Thanks for a great place for our home base while visiting nearby family!

House was clean and beautiful! Plenty of space for everyone. Location was amazing! Stayed for a bachelorette party and we were able to walk into downtown royal oak or grab a quick Uber ride.
Would highly recommend! Colby was accommodating and wonderful to communicate with. Truly have nothing negative to say!

Very nice house in a beautiful neighborhood close to the Detroit Zoo and Royal Oak. Near most everything you want to see in Detroit. The house is great for a family experience.

My girls and I needed a place to get ready the day of for my wedding and this was the perfect place. House was just gorgeous so it made it perfect for our getting ready photos. Beds were extremely comfortable, and having 3 bathrooms was a plus, as you know how long girls take to get ready. The place was so clean, spacious and had everything you need. I would give this place 10 stars if I could but 5 is the max.

Large family home close to Detroit zoo
We had a fun stay with three sets of couples and kids over the July fourth week at Colby’s house.
There were lots of pros to the home including:
Close to amenities and walking distance to Detroit zoo.
Large living areas and modern kitchen
Nice neighborhood with kid-friendly park a short walk away
Working AC and lots of fans
There were a few cons:
The home has been recently renovated and not all finished (some tiles loose, a few door handles not on, including the door down to the basement)
Some may find the open staircase/lack of banisters a no-go with little kids
The host Colby was a great communicator. He was responsive to our needs - for example, when we mentioned the lack of baby safety gates for the stairs and basement he went right out and bought some for the home.
Overall a lovely spot, nice house and good find in Detroit.

Excellent space for our family while in town for a wedding. Three adult sons and their spouses/significant others. Plenty of bathroom space and loved the backyard as well. Cool restaurants nearby. Great trip.

Great place/location for family to stay
The picture depicts the home in a realistic way. My family was in Detroit to attend our mother's funeral. This was the first time our grown daughters and their family were together since 2014. We wanted to stay together and not in a hotel environment. It was a blessed stay. Thank you for having everything in place and in order. The master bath is fantastic and location is ideal. We will definitely stay there again.

Fun Weekend
My friends and I had a great stay at this property. It was close enough to Detroit that we could do activities out there without a long drive back. It was also a hop & skip away from downtown Royal Oak. Everything was as advertised and Colby was great at communicating! Would definitely recommend this location to others looking to stay in the metro-Detroit area!

We came to visit family in Royal Oak, Ferndale, Pleasant Ridge. This place was a perfect location for us. Plenty or rooms/beds for us.

Convenient, relaxing
We enjoyed meeting up with family to celebrate a holiday. Plenty of room at the table for our party of 6 plus dinner guests, spacious kitchen, comfortable beds, sparkling baths, and large-screen TV. Great backyard patio and fireplace, which we'd use in a warmer month. We enjoyed neighborhood walks and nearby restaurants, bakeries, and retail. We appreciated Colby's instant responses to questions. Highly recommend!

Very nice home close to Royal Oak and easy road access to go everywhere in area. Great pillows and beds too. Would definitely rent again, owner is attentive and helpful.

Great place to stay with multi-generation family
Spacious, comfortable, newly updated throughout. Great to have a back yard to enjoy being outside and loved sitting on front porch. Nice neighborhood, walking distance to nice park/playground/dog park. Surrounding neighborhood lovely. Convenient access to highways, the noise mentioned in other reviews was really not a problem.

Exceeded all expectations!
In full disclosure this was our very first VRBO rental and it went above and beyond all of our expectations. It was a beautiful home and very well maintained and clean. Colby, the owner, was absolutely amazing with recommendations and was very quick to respond. He really made it feel like home. It was also perfectly located in a quiet and safe neighborhood but also super close to so many fantastic coffee shops and restaurants. We cannot say enough good things and I would recommend this home to anyone! It will not disappoint!

Family trip to Michigan
The house was very clean, close to our all of our destinations and provided ample space for a family of 5. Lots of new renovations. Owner was easy to communicate with. My only knock was the highway noise at night, which was remedied with one of the portable fans provided in the bedrooms.
