Cabin has all the necessities, but no refinements. Bed was comfortable and host provides great coffee. The location is perfect with access to the parks and town. It is quit at night, however one hears the main road traffic outside the property during the day.

I think the Dutch door was my first hint that this was going to be a sweet place…and it is! It’s smallish, but it’s got most everything you’ll need, with lots of personal touches to make you feel comfortably at home—coffee and tea, a well-stocked spice cupboard, an electric fireplace that makes it cozy quickly, games and puzzles, plushy blankets for cool evenings outside, etc., etc.! And speaking of outside, it might not be on the big water, but there’s a lovely pond (a with a rowboat!), a covered deck, green grass galore (with horses!), bird feeders that are busy all day long, a lovely outdoor fire ring, etc.! It’s reasonably priced and the VRBO experience was hassle-free (especially Karen, who was a pleasure to deal with!). I would certainly stay here again, and have already recommended it to friends.

The cottage met our needs for a 2 night stay. It was clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The cottage and outdoor photos were not quite as portrayed in the vrbo pictures and the unit appeared newer than it actually was.

It was nice to be just outside of town away from the hustle and bustle

This property had everything we needed, and more! We most loved the back deck and sitting area with the fire pit. It looked out on the pond. We enjoyed walking around the property, and watching the many beautiful birds that came to the feeders. Recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay — the cottage was well very clean and well furnished as well as being in a beautiful setting.

This cozy cottage is well situated between town and the west side of the island. It is well managed and very clean. It is also well equipped. The cabin is simple and basic but comfortable. The views out the back over the fields are lovely and restful.

Pictures are very representative of this cute little cottage and surrounding area/pond. As in other reviews we were a bit disappointed on the road noise but the nights are very peaceful. This is not a good place for anyone unsteady with sloping floors or steps. There are steps coming in and going out, going to the bathroom and into the living area and also into the back yard. The cottage was well appointed with just about everything you would need. We didn't cook so can't comment on the kitchen tools.

The location and setting is amazing. It's located close enough to Friday harbor for a few minutes of a drive, but it has an out of the way feel. The cottage is small and simple, but cute and has everything we needed. It is even well stocked in local artwork, maps and books that offer a lot of information on the San Juan Island area. The management was great and very responsive.

We were hoping for a quiet secluded getaway but, unfortunately, the cottage nestled on 5 acres was right next to the busiest road on the island. The cottage was very nice and would be great in a different location. Well equipped and comfortable. The listing said there was a k cup maker. Doesn't bother me but my wife loves those things and we couldn't find it. We just didn't feel we had the privacy we go to the island for.

We enjoyed our stay in this quaint cottage. The bed was comfortable, and the home provided all we needed. We had no cell phone signal with AT&T, but the Wi-fi worked well.

The cottage was wonderful. Everything you could possibly need in a kitchen was there. The grounds were sweet and the lake charming. If you are traveling with a friend, know there is only one queen bed and a fold out couch. The couch, not so comfortable but still worth it! Great location outside of town. Very quiet, sweet cottage. BBQ outside and little deck to sit and enjoy the private yard and pond. I would definitely return.

The accommodations are basic but comfortable. Thoughtfully equipped and decorated. The outdoor spaces are wonderful. A quintessential island getaway. Only downside is the proximity to a well traveled road. Absolutely perfect spot when no road noise.

I am so very grateful for having stayed in the cottage. I’ve enjoyed many VRBO opportunities but this one surpasses all. Thanks to all those who made it such a positive experience.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. So nice to watch the birds and sit by the pond. Property is just outside of Friday Harbor and easy to get to most places by car or bike easily. It was so relaxing to unwind in the peaceful quiet in this rural setting. Watching deer and horses in the evenings was entertaining as well as listening to the bullfrogs in the pond. Bird feeded was kept stocked and many pictures were taken of the various birds. The rufus hummingbird kept chasing away the Anna's hummingbird whenever it went to the feeder. Kitchen was well stocked. Refrigerator kept everything cool. We grilled one evening and that worked out great. Bed was comfortable. Not a bad thing to report.

Nice and cozy little property. Beautiful surroundings and view. Well stocked with kitchen utensils and small grill for preparing meals. Rather small but perfect for a couple to relax.

loved the time we spent there! The peace & quiet, just what we needed!

This property has a delightful covered deck and yard area, with a view of a pond and horse farm. The yard is full of flowers, herbs, birds. Besides the horses, we saw a raccoon and a nutria regularly. It was a fun place to gather with a small number of friends. The kitchen is well-stocked with everything we needed for cooking and eating. Negatives include noise from a busy road, unreliable internet, no cell phone coverage, and very uncomfortable shower.

This was a darling little cottage in a great location. I like that it was close to Friday Harbor, but also a bit north as we did some kayaking in Roche Harbor. Bed was super comfortable!The storage shed for our kayaks was great, and the cottage had everything we could want. The only thing I was surprised at was that it is actually located adjacent to the owner and her neighbor. I thought it would be more isolated and private. Still have quiet and privacy, just not isolation. Since we were off adventuring, this wasn't a big deal during the day and we didn't see anyone out and about during the evening. The owner and neighbor were hosting a yard sale the weekend we stayed, so I imagine there was much more traffic then normal. Owner and manager were very friendly and even let us store our kayaks in the shed for a couple hours after checkout. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

My husband, 9 year old daughter and I spent two nights at this wonderful cottage. The pond was the highlight for our daughter. She spent evenings catching tadpoles and rowing in the dingy while my husband and I relaxed on the porch. The flower garden was beautiful and it was so nice having fresh flowers and herbs throughout the space. A great little gem!

This was a very charming & relaxing place to stay. Certainly look forward to returning at a future date.

Peaceful and quaint. A lovely little cottage just outside of Friday Harbor. I came to cater a friends rehearsal dinner on the Island and to my delightful surprise....there were even some fresh herbs growing outside the door. I was in heaven. thank you!

Very nice place, just the right size for the 2 of us. Looking forward to a return someday!

The house itself did not satisfy our needs. There was no indoor table to sit at to eat indoors. The shower was not user friendly. The bedroom was very crowded with the writing table in it. There was very little room for our two carrier-on bags with our clothes/

We had a very nice stay at this little cottage. We were here for 5 nights in late August 2018 and found this cozy nook to be just the right distance from Friday Harbor. We were able to easily get around to any location on San Juan Island. We watched deer and quail from the deck, and the outside shed was perfect for storing our bicycles. Three small things to note if booking here: (1) there are a couple of steps down to get into the powder room and also to get into the living room. They were a little steep and if you have mobility issues, these might pose a problem. (2) It takes a while for the water to reheat in the small hot water heater. There were signs posted when we arrived that guests need to plan their showers accordingly. This means a few hours between showers if you're accustomed to lingering in the bath. We dealt with this by taking 'navy showers.' We're from southern CA so we're used to short showers. (Side note: the well water tastes delicious!) (3) The cottage is close to Beaverton Valley Road, so you will hear some traffic noise. Traffic is not heavy on this road, but if a car zooms by in the night and you're a light sleeper, you might be awakened. Having said this, I don't want this to sound like we were unhappy. We would definitely stay here again!

We loved our stay in this cozy cottage! Great location and plenty of room. The property manager thought of everything including fresh flowers in every room! Also she was very responsive and helpful. We would love to come back and stay here again!

This cabin is such an awesome get away! Every detail is taken care of by your host and has everything you need to relax and enjoy your time in the San juan Islands.The hosts treated me like family and you cant get any better then that! I highly recommend this place for your stay.
