We had my entire family stay here for a week, and it was absolutely perfect. There were quite a few of us, but the house is big enough so we we all had room to relax. The pool was the biggest hit as the ocean was incredibly wavy most of our trip. Great location and would definitely stay again!

We vacationed here with four families and everyone had an amazing time. There was plenty of space for the whole group to hang out or if you wanted to break away for a little bit there is plenty of little nooks to escape to. Being on the bay was amazing for the kids and adults alike good kayaking and paddle boarding. The pool was clean and warm. And there is only a 2 block walk to the Beach.

We loved the property. Outside space, dock, bay and pool were beautiful. Slept us all comfortably and beds were very comfortable! Ample space and well stocked kitchen. Used the outdoor grill several times to cook dinner! Only “negative” was that it was a little bit far from the beach for the two older members of our family. We ended up driving our stuff to the beach and dropping off with them, then driving car back to the house and walking back to the beach. Overall, great week!

15 of us had a great vacation at this home. The bay side pool, dock, boat launch and kyacks provided so much for all of us to do outside, it was outstanding. The ocean was a straight shot 5 min walk and was also amazing. The home layout had space for the kids to gather in addition to the great room and kitchen area. We all loved it!

I rented this property for a family gathering. The owners worked with me and we had an amazing stay. The only thing I will say is there are a lot of stairs. So you will get a workout but the views from the house are worth the workout.

It’s a lot of steps but the porches, the privacy , the stunning view and sunsets of the back bay made that all worthwhile. The downstairs apartment gave the young ones their own area to stay up later, have pool access and play games. The owners were very responsive to every question we had. Everyone took a turn in the 4 bicycles and just had a great time . We hated to leave .

The over all condition of the property is good. Could use more lighting in the living room. Rented this property during the winter months, so the pool was not used. The kitchen had everything needed for our stay.

This was an awesome house for our family reunion. We had 7 adults and 4 kids, all aged four and under, and everyone had a blast! The view of the bay and the pool area are the highlights of this house; both are gorgeous and even better in person than the pictures online convey. The house is only a couple of blocks from the public access beach, which is really convenient. While you do have to cross a pretty busy street to get there, and there are no walkways to the beach so the sand can get HOT, it was nevertheless a fantastic location in a quiet neighborhood. The bay side is right next to some other private docks and the wildlife refuge, so you do get some kayakers/boaters, but it is generally pretty secluded and no one is loud. The sunsets are gorgeous and the frogs like to sing at dusk- very serene! The house itself is very nice, with plenty of room for a big group. There are a lot of stairs, and steep stairs to get in the front door, so that might be a consideration for folks with mobility issues, but my mom (late 60s) and our two 4 year olds managed ok. Inside, for folks with little ones, they have a jury-rigged baby gate on the stairs on the main level, so that is helpful, but we brought an extra portable one for the entrance from the pool deck to the dock area. You might also think about bringing another for the bedrooms on the top level. The house was great and we really enjoyed it overall, but I'll dock half a star (4.5 total; I wish vrbo would let me do half stars) for some of the amenities. Some of the beds weren't super comfortable, and with the amount of space, the larger ones could probably be king beds rather than queens. Also, the kitchen could use an upgrade to some decent cookware; I'd suggest a refresh of a few more pots and pans and a new set of silverware and knives. Nothing fancy needed, but some more average TJ Maxx-level basics would be good. I know our group was big on cooking all of our meals, though, so maybe not everyone would care about that, and maybe we are just exceptionally picky. :) There is also a slight musty smell to the basement, just something to be aware of for people with allergies, but not a dealbreaker. Again, overall, it was a wonderful house and we really enjoyed our stay! Thank you, Nathan and Jade for sharing your beautiful home with us. If you're looking for a good family reunion crash pad to relax and not do much besides lounge by the pool and go to the beach, this is the house for you!

Our family had a wonderful time in this beautiful, well-appointed home. Grilling by the saltwater pool, kayaking on the bay and reveling in the tranquility of a perfect sunset.

We just recently stayed in this beautiful property for a family vacation. Nathan was wonderful to work with. They went out of their way and comfort to accommodate some special requests that we had. The house was spotless when we got it and the grounds are beautifully kept. We had an issue with the air conditioning at night that we reached out to them and by the time I woke up in the morning they had it already fixed. We had an overall great stay in Virginia Beach.
