Wonderful property and great owner. Richard was great at pre-arrival communication and letting us know what to expect, what we needed and how to have an enjoyable time. We arrived and were very happy with our reservation. The house is bigger than what is appreciated in the pictures with lots of room for our party of 11. Wonderful open kitchen with all that we needed and it was wonderful to look out the porthole window watching the dolphins in the bay while cooking dinner. Spent several nice evenings watching sunsets on one of the many swings while enjoying the evening breeze. Caught nearly 5 dozen crabs off the bulkhead in about 5 hours. It was really nice to have an ice machine for keeping drinks cold going to the beach or icing down seafood (saved money and time). Family has already decided to go back again next year and we will stay longer. I highly recommend the property and Richard. Would give more stars if possible. Thank you, Richard for sharing your property with us.

The location cannot be beat. The views of the bay and the beautiful sunsets are priceless. The kids especially loved seeing the dolphins and pelicans from the porch.
We were a large group and the huge amount of living space and private baths were appreciated.
To top it all off the owner was always quick to respond for any question (from right after booking to the end of our stay) and couldn’t have been nicer.
We look forward to making this a tradition.

We brought the kids down from Wedtern Nebraska for 4 days of incredible fishing and fun on the beach. Grand Isle does not disappoint. There aren’t a lot of amenities, but we like the simplistically of the Island. The people and place are amazing

This was the perfect house for our annual Grand Isle trip. HUGE property inside and out. It was so nice having a bathroom for every bedroom. One thing to note is that the washer and dryer is in one of the bathrooms. We loved the big kitchen, huge ice machine, outdoor swings all along the property, great fishing, I could go on and on and on. We will definitely be staying again in the future.

This rental was perfect for our couples trip. Very easy to find, beautiful location on the water. The owner was great to work with and answers all questions/concerns we had quickly. We enjoyed having our own bathrooms connected to each bedroom. Will book this rental again if we travel back.

I understand there doing renovations on exterior but there was many nails in drive way and on concrete under the house. The home was spacious and had plenty of room. I loved watching the dolphins everyday. The sunsets were amazing.

Beautiful spacious home. Love everything during our 2 night stay. Everyone was impressed. Wish we were staying longer to fully enjoyed all its offerings. Successful fishing trip. 4 Wahoos and 3 tuna. Outdoor fish cleaning station and 500 lbs ice box came in handy. Would love to come back to experience fishing and crabbing from the house next year.

Great for entertaining clients!
This property had everything I could have asked for and more. I brought a small group of business clients there for 3 days of fishing. They all were impressed with the accommodations. . After long days of fishing we were able to unwind in the spacious living area and sit down for a good meal at the large dining table. The view of sunset was spectacular.
This was the first time I ever booked through VRBO. Richard, the owner, made the whole process pleasant. He always promptly responded to my emails, texts and calls. I highly recommend this property and will be back.

FANTASTIC!
We just stayed a week with my family of 14. The home was perfect in every aspect. 14 people can get cozy in one house but we didn't feel that way at all. The home is very spacious with lots of room to spread out. Everything was super clean and in great shape. We fished under the lights at night and caught some nice trout. Keeping the boats in the water was a huge plus. Plenty of room for boats. Having an ice maker saved us a lot of time and money. It produces way more ice than we could use on a daily basis. We also enjoyed the location next to Hurricane hole. It was very convenient to walk next door and grab a drink a Hurricane Hole's bar. It was also great that we had a boiling pot and burner available. We put it to good use. Richard was always available if we needed anything. He was an excellent host. If you're looking for a large camp with a great location, this is the place for you. We'll be back for sure.

Great stay
Fantastic experience here. We especially appreciated the boat access, ice machine, spacious kitchen, and sunsets over Caminada while sitting on the porch swing. Richard was around to greet us and help with a minor repair. Would rent again for sure.

Great Place - We’ll be back
This was a great property right on the bay, adjacent to hurricane hole, and just down the road from marinas. The photos honestly don’t do the place justice - truly a great spot with nice post-Ida renovations. We easily moored three boats at the camp and could have fit a fourth. The outside space with the gas flat top and charcoal bbq pit made for great evenings and the spacious bedrooms made for restful sleep for our large fishing group. We’ll be back. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

Guys Fishing Trip
There were six of us and everyone enjoyed it. Everyone appreciated being able to have their own room/bathroom. There was plenty of space for everybody. It was within walking distance to the local restaurant.

Great location for fishing trip
Minimal drive by boat or car to marina. Due to the hurricane last year and tropical storm this year the road to the property floods at high tide, would recommend SUV, vans or trucks when parking.
Water heater was turned off accidentally by previous renters, but the property manager gave me the details of how to turn back on. Bottom line the closet to the left when going through the kitchen is locked, but has two switches (light) that power the water heaters. Once we talked and did some handiwork the hot water was fine.
Don't know if I was the property manager or VRBO, but I arrived at 430 pm and did not receive the code to enter the property, but again the property manager was great to help and responded immediately.
Overall was well worth it and for fisherman, amazing and convenient location. Caught 6ndifferent species on the back project.

Amazing!!
We have stayed at this camp several times. As our family has grown over the years this camp is perfect for us. We all love the fact each bedroom has its own bathroom. No more waiting for your turn to take a shower. Views are beautiful. Ice machine is so nice to have. No going to get ice everyday. Richard, the owner, is very nice and helpful.

Great Location!
Camp was clean and was enjoyed by all my guests. The only down side would be that the boat slip in the photos is not available for renters. The piles down the side of the camp have bolts that stick out that will damage your boat. I would stay again but would bring large boat bumpers/fenders next visit.

EXCELLENT CAMP OVERALL
The property was very nice. Camp could use more trash cans inside the bathrooms and 1 or 2 large cans out side under camp. We are hoping the pier is rebuilt for next year. One of the main reasons we rented this camp was for crabbing and night fishing under the lights.

Very nice home
The property was very nice and we loved all the room, the VRBO listing said 9 bathrooms after staying a week we were only able to find 5. A bathroom in the downstairs area would have been nice as that is where we spent the majority of our time. The only other downfall would be the lack of written check out requirements, we have stayed at a lot if VRBO's in the past and it just makes it a lot more convenient, as it turned out I was charged an extra 145 dollars for not leaving the keys in lock box ( I do accept responsibility and is my fault, but loading a boat and equipment and everything else checking out can be hectic it would just be nice to have a checklist as we try to keep and maintain someone's home as we would our own.other than that the house was wonderful and would recommend it to others.
