The Dominicalito Beach was great and so close! We went to the beach to swim and surf everyday. We found the patio was our families favorite space to spend most days and eat our meals. Then a dip or 2 in the pool to cool off. The view from the minute you enter the front door to every room is spectacular. Really ever detail of the villa was great. Also, you can see the ocean from every room! The view of Dominicalito never got old! Watching the surfers, fishing boats, paragliders, birds and the nice tropical breeze was wonderful. A toucan came right to the tree just off the patio one morning. My son and I saw a monkey right by villa on are way down to beach the second morning. A car with 4x4 is essential, the road is very steep and rough. It was a short walk down to the beach, but the uphill return would be very hot & difficult for most. The villa complex is built on a steep hill above the main coastal highway. There are great restaurants & very nice grocery store close by. Our favorite restaurant was Roca Verde because they had live music Friday nights. It was a lot of fun for the kids and us! Por Que No was also great for sunset sitting at the bar. Best dinner by far was Ylang Ylang in nearby Ojochal. Schedule an early AM nature hike at Hacienda Baru. We saw toucans, sloths, monkeys, wild pigs, lizards, and a variety of other birds. Also, the horse ride to the Nauyaca waterfall was amazing and a lot of fun!
