The lake house is in a perfect location along the lake. The scenery is beautiful and the house is stocked so that you really only need to bring food and clothes. The owner is readily available if there are any problems but does not intrude. He did call the first full day we were there just to make sure that everything was perfect. Which it was! There is a bedroom downstairs with a bathroom across from it. It was perfect for my parents who are in their 70s. There was a shower with a low entry which was great for my dad. My husband and 3 sons were able to fish from the dock or go out in a kayak or canoe to fish in the deeper waters. My youngest was the luckiest at catching fish, much to the dismay of his older brothers. Mark had a separate floating dock that we were able to paddle board out to and jump into the deeper water. There were passing rain showers and one thunderstorm but there were enough board games and activities in the game room to keep the boys entertained. When they got tired of being out on the water or fishing there were plenty of yard games to play as well. There was a fire pit for making s'mores or just to sit around at night talking. There is also a pizza oven with instructions on how to make the pizza. It tasted like it was from a professional pizza oven. There was a lot of laughing throughout the week. Mark's house is a must stay location!

Outstanding in every way!

We were so happy we found Mark’s property for our vacation! This Island Pond property is the perfect setting to relax and unwind! Mark provides everything imaginable that a person would want or need on vacation! The house was fully stocked including such things as paper towels, coffee pods, all kitchen items, cleaning items, beach towels, board games and game room! Outside we enjoyed using the kayaks and paddle boards and relaxing on the dock! The house was very clean and furnished nicely and the property was very well manicured! Mark was a pleasure to deal with and was very accommodating! We are definitely planning on returning for future vacations!

This place is the perfect place if you like to enjoy lake life in the summer. It has everything you could ever need. My kids and I loved swimming and fishing right off the dock. Nice clear clean water to jump into. Riding canoes, kids kayaks and paddle boats was fun! We didn’t want to leave!

This was the most peaceful trip we’ve had . We’ve stayed in home shares literally all over the world and this one ranks in the top 3. Clean, safe, beautiful grounds, all the toys…we all hated to leave. Mark is an awesome host. I’m pretty sure our dog cried leaving.

I rented this property over the Christmas holiday and it was wonderful I arrived on Christmas Eve after a long day of travel and upon entering the house there were Christmas carols playing and a live tree set up for us it was the best welcome ever. The house is private and cozy yet roomy comfortable everything Multiple televisions cable and space for everyone to pursue their interests snowmobile trail out your door and our dogs loved it. I wanted to experience the property in the summer but a property like this goes fast and Mark was already booked for the season. Stay here summer fall or winter you will love it The house was stocked with everything you could need and then some. Hope to get back!! Thank you for everything Mark

We couldn't have found a more perfect spot for a weekend reunion of old college friends and spouses. The owners provided a large, comfortable home that had plenty of room for everyone, with just about everything you'd need in the kitchen, lots of cozy couches, indoor and outdoor living spaces, in a beautiful spot right on pristine Island Pond, just outside the village. We enjoyed using the outdoor wood-burning pizza oven and owner Mark had plentiful firewood available. This would be a great spot for a family reunion, too, with indoor and outdoor games and equipment available, no matter the season. And did I mention that wood-fired pizza oven?! Island Pond is a great spot for a weekend trip or longer, and this house lets the visitor have a carefree weekend to enjoy it all. We hope to be back soon!

This was a wonderful fall family vacation. The house had everything we could need. Owner was very helpful. Loved the town of Island Pond.

Mark’s home was absolutely beautiful. We barely left the property because we had everything we needed right there. We lucked out with the weather in early June with sun and 80 degree days - we were jumping off the dock and relaxing in his yard all day. The house was in amazing condition and very clean. Mark and his wife were very friendly and made us feel at home during our stay. I will definitely be returning. What a great steal! Highly recommend coming here with friends, family, and your dog!

Mark goes above and beyond and includes everything imaginable that you might need. He is very responsive and helpful if you need something The home is very clean and has great energy and great detail in every room to give it it's wonderful charm. The thoughtfulness that went into the smallest things is apparent and everything is carefully placed and has a purpose.

Though we got a little more snow than we expected for late April, this home had EVERYTHING we needed to make this a great vacation get away for us all. Mark was so very kind and made the rental process so easy. We can’t wait to come back to get out on the water.

Spent 3 nights here during April Spring Break, wonderful quiet spot right on the lake! House is immaculate! Although we had some snow during our stay, our kids still thoroughly enjoyed the swing set and all the fun games inside! Our favorite spot was sitting at the fire pit lakeside!

Ideal location for snowmobiling and summer getaways! We can't wait to return!

This house is huge--so roomy and comfy.. we arrived with entire family for a ski vacation--the owner was so facilitating and welcoming (he gave us our privacy but knew he was there in case of emergency). It is so well equipped--anything you could possibly need was there for feeding huge groups of people, plenty of games and activities, on the end of a dead end street with gorgeous lake views and sun streaming in the windows. It was the getaway we all needed. Lots of comfy couches and blankets for hanging out, enough space that we could spread out and do our own thing. We will be back!

This was such a nice house, the pictures were very accurate and the host was always available to speak to. The outdoor area was nice and big, and the lake was frozen but still looked so nice. Booking again one day.

We spent Christmas 2020 at this property, it was a restful and calming break. The property is beautifully maintained and the owner Mark was lovely to deal with.

This is exactly what we needed. We spent five days at this property and we couldn’t have asked for more. Mark was an extremely accommodating host and made sure we knew he was available at any time. There was plenty to do both inside the house with games, books, TVs and a game room, and outside with toys, a fire pit, pizza oven and a playground all in the huge lakefront yard. I could have sat in the Adirondack chairs and stared out at the lake all day. Our stay was the absolute definition of peace and quiet. We’re already planning our next trip. Thank you, Mark!

My family and I checked in and immediately felt at home at this lake house because Mark has everything you could ever want and need. Starting with the welcome package including local honey and jam. It doesn’t stop there. If you need it, he has thought of it. When we woke up without heat, all it took was a phone call. There was a technician there within the hour. Mark also dropped off space heaters for each room after the heat was fixed just in case the problem wasn’t resolved. I honestly felt like I was staying at a Sandals resort or something similar.

We had a great time while in Island Pond and the property was exactly what we were looking for. The house was very clean and Mark was great and easy to communicate with. We loved this house and definitely would love to come back!

The property was everything advertised and more!!!!

Due to COVID-19, my husband and I had to postpone our honeymoon in Italy, and instead opted to spend a relaxing week more locally. While Mark’s house was larger than we really needed for just the two of us (plus our dogs), we were drawn to the waterfront and amenities, and we were not disappointed! Between the yard games, water toys, and indoor games, there is plenty to keep you occupied for a week or more. While the property is quiet and private, it’s just a few minutes from town where you can pick up anything you need or get food from several excellent restaurants. Mark was very welcoming and available if we needed anything, but also gave us our privacy. We would love to return!

Wonderful property and Mark has thought of everything you might need when on vacation. He made the check in/out process very easy. He responds to all communication in a timely manner and seemed truly interested in making sure his guests enjoy their time in Island Pond. We have rented thru VRBO many times and this property has become our new favorite.

If you are looking for a clean, well-equipped, lakefront house with ample space and things to do, then you have found it. My family of 5 stayed here and enjoyed every minute of it. This place has it all: water toys (kayaks, paddle boards, canoes), game room, huge lawn for games, very comfortable beds, clean linens, clean everything, ping-pong, laundry, dvd players, gas grill, fire pit, and an extremely nice owner who ensures that you have everything you need. We had an extraordinary amount of rain to start the week which resulted in a soggy lawn and a submerged dock. Still, there was plenty to do and we did not feel cooped up at all. I would (and probably will) rent this place again without hesitation. I've never stayed at a better equipped rental. End your search now and go for it.

Wow! What an awesome time! We searched far and wide for just the right spot to take our growing family for our first family vacation and let me tell you - this place is spot on! The house is immaculate and completely equipped! The location is perfect, providing you a private and relaxing waterfront setting! Our family thoroughly enjoyed all the comforts of this awesome house, beautiful yard and all the dock and boats that were right there and available for use! It was really great! Was an excellent place to stay ,we had a great time.

This was our second year staying at this property and we can not say enough good things about the property. Kitchen is well furnished, living room is cozy and comfortable and most important the beds are great. Mark the owner is very hospitable and is available if you should need anything. He genuinely wants to know what he can do to make improvements to make your stay more enjoyable. We will definitely be back next year.

My family and I have stayed in approximately 15 VRBO/Homeaway properties over the past 10 years and this home is by far the best. From the time we checked in until our departure the owner, Mark, was extremely attentive yet respected our privacy. Mark was concerned about our comfort due to the extreme sub-zero temperatures and encouraged us "not to be afraid to turn up the heat." The furnishings from the bedrooms to the living areas were of high quality and comfort. The kitchen had everything necessary to cook all meals. The home was immaculate. The second floor game room along with the ping-pong table in the cellar provided lots of laughs and fun on days that it was too cold to go out. The location of the house was ideal to snowmobile from with easy access to the VAST trails. The scenery was a winter wonderland. We would definitely rent this home again. Thank you Mark for taking such pride in your home making it feel like we were family. We had an absolutely wonderful stay!
