Quiet air conditioned BR with comfortable bed. Beautiful view of beach. Appreciated the really comfortable beach chairs and cooler. Great location for wedding we attended. Lots of great restaurants, drugstore and grocery store nearby.

PROS The location of this property is right on the beach with wonderful views. You are mere steps away! We loved that the unit had 2 Tommy Bahama chairs and an umbrella. The unit did have a newer air unit in the bedroom (not the one in the ad pictures under the window); however, we enjoyed opening the windows, patio door and slats on the front door to take advantage of the beautiful ocean breeze. There was also ceiling fans in the bedroom and living room. Loved the high table and 2 chairs on the balcony providing a great view of the beach. CONS We had read previous reviews that did state the cleanliness of the unit was possibly below average and we can't dispute that. The dryer had a capture tray that had never been emptied and it was full of foul smelling stagnate water. The unit was a bit rough. The bottom drawer of the nightstand was broken as was the left panel of the hallway closet door. The patio door had a tendency to come off the rail, when being opened or closed. A foul smell came from the bathroom sink and we believe it was because the plumbing is incorrect (there was no "p"trap). Some of the towels (kitchen, bathroom hand and beach) were all a bit tread bare. WISHLIST Drying rack to hang wet towels, bathing suits and laundry. Stick vacuum for light pickup of sand and hair. Safe to lock up valuables. Kettle for tea PHOTO/AD ACCURACY The bed is only a double, not a queen. There is no cart. Couch is not leather (fabric) and the black leather chair is gone.

Great location on a most beautiful beach. Complex is gated and felt very safe. Property's was very clean and loved the beach chairs and washer/dryer. Some furniture and pans were a bit tired and could be replaced. Should be marketed as a one bedroom with pullout couch rather than a two bedroom. Overall great property.

Everything was good but the passcode we had through information email was wrong and had to call the person to get the right #. Property is very clean and enough space well managed and right in front of the beach !

Awesome views. Super clean apartment. Great experience. Washer dryer very easy to use. Spacious living room and dining room. Air-conditioning was perfect. I am scheduling my next vacation in the same apartment if it's available for the same dates. I found my new vacation home. Could not have been a better experience. 3 weeks was not enough time. I thank the owner for sharing their home with my family.

Lovely view. Staff at condo very helpful, recommended restaurant which was great. A/C in bedroom cooled whole apt if bedroom door open, used fan as well. Walked beach a good distance, sat on beach at Luquillo, very convenient and beautiful, why go anywhere else? Ate at Kiosks several times. Would definitely stay here again.

Owner has provided everything to make the stay enjoyable. Full size kitchen appliances, washer and dryer, even a coffee maker and toaster. Sitting out on the balcony and watching the waves was very relaxing. The condo and surrounding beach were kept clean and the condo staff were courteous and helpful. As much as we hate to leave these comments, we felt compelled to do so for others not to be subjected to the discomfort we experienced. We arrived late at night, check in at the complex gate was smooth ( friendly and attentive gate keeper), parking in front of our tower was easy and in nice proximity of the entrance to the lobby, getting to our Apt was easy. We entered and as expected we needed to turn on the air conditioner ( which unfortunately was only available in the bedroom!) we were up for a bit looking around the Apt and checking out the balcony , when the horror was realized. The cooling unit up on the wall in our bedroom was vented out to the balcony, the heat from that exhaust unit on the balcony was so intense, coupled with the beautiful sea breezes that pushed the hot air into the living room/ dining area made it feel like you were in a sauna. There was a ceiling fan and a floor fan available but they didn’t help much because of the circulation of the hot air coming off the balcony through the Venetian window blinds on either side of the balcony door. Then we started to find issues like mold under the kitchen sink, the oven door required cleaning, and this was totally unacceptable, the shower door was broken on one side where the wheels were coming off the track and had to be carefully adjusted with each use, not to mention the mold buildup and crack on the shower floor pan that filled with water and gushed up when stepped on. OMG I have no room. There’s more!

I was provided with everything I needed for my stay including beach/pool accessories. I would definitely book again.

The location was great The balcony needs major updating... the outside furniture is ruined and uncomfortable There definitely needs to be done updating to this property but if only the location matters this is the one

This is the second time I stayed at Playa Azul 1, beause I overwhelmingly enjoyed the condo and the beach. Angel, the owner, is a great host, and always accomodates me in a friendly and helpful manner. I will staying there again, when I return. I love the place!

Perfect place for us with a breathtaking view. Peaceful area. Communication with owner was great.

This was a great property to stay at. The space had good ammenities and I felt safe and secure on the property. Besides being comfortable and convienient, there was added charm several mornings being woken up gently by a local trumpet player. So many great beaches nearby to swim, in addition to the beach front by the property and not far from the rainforrest either. Would stay again!

Property was perfect for our "Mom Detox" trip. Property was secured. The location was perfect. Listened to the waves all day and night. Walking distance to the beach. There is 2 beach chairs, a beach buggy, cooler, and an umbrella provided in the condo which wasvery convenient. The umbrella was broken, which wasn't a surprise considering how windy the beach could get at times. But there was plenty of natural shade from the palm trees close enough to still enjoy the ocean, so the umbrella wasn't needed. There's a breakfast place and other shops within walking distance. Ubers were a little spotty at times so allow extra time for activities. The locals were great. 10 minutes away there is a strip with multiple restaurants and shops. El Yunque Rainforest is also 10 minutes away. We did horseback riding to the beach and ATV riding at Carabali and highly recommend trying those fun activities. We are already talking about planning our next trip!

I was very happy with our choice!

The views are amazing. You are steps from the beach and within walking distance from many great places to eat. The owner is very responsive and check-in/check-out was easy. I appreciated the beach chairs, cooler and umbrella that was availible for use on the beach. The security is great and very friendly. The apartment does need a good cleaning. The kitchen cabinets smelled like mildew. I did have to wash several dishes/cups/silverware as they were not properly clean. There were red stains on pillows in closet and the couch was stained. The bathroom had alot of mildew as well.

Great location and gorgeous views!! That being said, the place needs some care and serious cleaning. The couch and throw pillows were gross; full of stains. The shower was full of mildew and gross brown “slime” on the door track and faucet handle. The kitchen cabinets wreaked of mildew. Place could be a wonderful stay with a some better cleaning and upkeep.

Every single day was spent on the beach for a few hours soaking up the sun and then splashing around in a nearly empty pristine and large community pool. The kids had a ball. Even though we lost electricity for a few days (as did the entire island!), it was still a perfect vacation. Couldn’t ask for more!

We have stayed at Playa Azul before and will return every year if possible. Angel is a great host, he is easy to communicate with. His unit has not been remodeled in some time but that's why it is so affordable. It is clean and has everything you need. The bed and furniture were comfortable. Like all units in Tower 1 the view and sound of the waves are great!!

Amazing views, beautiful beaches and a comfortable/safe apartment with everything we needed and more. Little extras like a hair dryer, extra linens, beach chairs and cooler were a great added bonus! The host was accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. The town is friendly and authentic with plenty to do nearby. We met so many great people on during our stay that we can’t wait to plan our next visit.

Angel was a great host and very prompt with all communication. Great location on the beach and lots of amenities from beach towels. ChAirS, boogie board. We had a blast.
