All we needed and clean

The property was just as advertised. Ashley was very responsive and timely. We lost power and within minutes a neighbor brought us a lantern. It was great not to have to pack any beach chairs. All kitchen essentials were supplied. We love our coffee so the dual keurig was fantastic. One block to the beach access point. The bathroom could use some shelving. The ceiling fans need to be cleaned along with bathroom vent. The AC filters need to be changed.

An amazing week enjoy sun, sand and surf. Location is fantastic and we enjoyed all the local activities. Thank you for a great week look forward to next year.

This was one of the best stays we have had in Surfside. The house was perfect for our week getaway and we loved having the dogs with us. Ashley was very responsive every time we had to contact her. The house is in a great neighborhood with just a short walk to the beach. We are hoping to stay at this house again, it was so good!!

We Love staying at half-shell. This is our 2nd time staying and won’t be our last.

We were very happy with our stay at the Half Shell! The house is exactly as pictured and was perfect for myself, my boyfriend, our 21 month old, and our small dog. The street was quiet and seemed to have quite a few local residents on it. The walk to the beach was quick and easy. But I did notice that the Surfside beach websites rules are outdated compared to the rules listed on a board outside of the beach itself. We brought a tent we had planned to use on the beach (Surfside beach website states they’re allowed) but once we got out to the beach entrance, we were surprised to see a sign stating no tents were allowed. No big deal though. No dogs are allowed on the beach during summer months either which surprised me. Also wanted to add that the go cart water park advertised as being at the end of the street is now permanently closed which was a little disappointing but again, not a big deal at all. The house had pretty much everything we needed and was very clean. This was the first time I’ve stayed somewhere near the beach and not seen a single water bug! It truly was our home away from home while we were there and we’d definitely stay here again!

House was very clean and conveniently located. Weather wasn’t the greatest for bike week but the home was perfect. Communication with Ashley was awesome and we will definitely consider this home again as being able to bring our pups was also an added bonus! Thank you for allowing us to use your adorable home!

While this was an older home, the decor was appropriate and neat. The kitchen and bathroom were updated and very nice. There were TVs in the living area and both bedrooms, all equipped with ROKU.

This was a fantastic place to stay with my family and pup. Short walk to the beach and so close to everything in surfside.

Perfect stay for a small family. Very clean, lots of amenities, well kept and updated. Parking for 2-3 cars. Our 2 senior dogs loved the 1-level layout. Easy walk to the beach. Overall great vacation value!

House was super clean, beds were comfortable and what a fab location just a block from the beach. Great area to stay and dog walk. Was our first visit to Surfside Beach. We’ll definitely be back.

Ashley was great to deal with and the property and location were just as described. A great, quiet neighborhood and lots of great places to walk our dog. Loved the back deck, a nice place to sit and relax. This cottage was the perfect size for us and had all the amenities of home. We’ll be back!

Communication with owner was excellent, property was as described and comfortable. It is located in a nice neighborhood and has all the comforts of home away from home. We were there during the recent winter freeze and everything worked great including the much needed heater, Would definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay in Surfside Beach. Found a great dog park for our fur babies which, they loved going to. The location to the beach was great as was the grocery stores and restaurants. Hopefully we’ll get back there next year.

This little cottage was absolutely beautiful!! It was also very clean and has everything you need to cook. Anything from salt and pepper to pots and pans!! My friends and I had a great stay, if we ever do another weekend getaway like this we will for sure rebook!!

I stayed at The Half Shell with my friend and our dogs. The house is beautiful, very clean, a block from the beach and had everything we needed. Both bedrooms were comfortable and fresh. The neighbors were friendly when we saw them, there was plenty of parking for two cars and the area was very pleasant and felt safe. I’m sure we will be back, it was a most enjoyable and relaxing stay.

Excellent location and 5 min walk to the beach. Quiet street. We loved being able to have our pets with us and plan to visit again. The location is convenient to attractions, restaurants and grocery stores.

Half Shell was a very nice place to stay during our vacation to surf side beach. Communication with the host was excellent. Nice area with plenty of places to eat. Will be back in the future!

This is a cozy little property. Great for a couple and their little fur baby. Close to the beach which was great. Loved staying here. Quiet neighborhood. Owners were great to deal with. I would definitely stay again and will probably look into their other property when visiting with my siblings.
