Our expectations were more than met. This lovely townhome had all that we needed for a perfect family vacation. The location within the community is ideal, close to the pool and green space. We especially enjoyed the outdoor patio and small deck off the master bedroom.

I've been staying on the Big Island of Hawaii for 40 years. I like Mauna Lani although the ocean is calm and not wavy. This place represents one of the best values I've ever had. It's not the Four Seasons but if you want to stay in a nice resort at an affordable rate this place is a great alternative.

Best location with the beach club pass. The condo has everything you need and is the perfect configuration for 2 couples.

Upon arrival we were impressed by the landscaping and when we entered we were even more captivated by how clean, relaxing, thoughtful and beautiful the place is. We felt welcomed and at home immediately. The attention to detail as to what we may need during our stay was above and beyond what we had expected!

We are veteran VRBO's and this condo was beautiful and has everything you need. It was very convenient to everything and very clean. The pool is right out the back door. We would definitely stay here again. Only thing to mention is if you like to have a quiet place to sit on the lanai this VRBO does not fit your requirement. There is an air conditioner unit to your left and one to your right while setting on the lanai and they are both very noisy when they turn on.

We had a wonderful time! The unit is nicely appointed with comfortable furnishings and the kitchen area was very well equipped with all the cooking essentials you could need. There are even 2 bikes and a portable cooler in the garage. One of the bikes had a flat and once we called and it was repaired right away!! The place was very clean and accurate to the photos. The pool area in the complex is quite beautiful as well. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Stayed six nights at the Fairways in Puako. Gated community, seemed to be mostly tourists. House is very plush and well equipped. Pool is nice, gym is decent but too small. Access to the beach club was a good bonus, with an excellent little bay for some snokeling. Grocery, restaurants, and some shopping are within walking distance. Area is a strange mix of barren lava rock with hyper landscaped islands.

Exactly as pictured, beautiful property, clean and comfortable! We will be back!!!

Stunning property with everything you need!

Our party of four really enjoyed our stay at the condo in the Fairways. Super convenient location. Very well equipped with the staples and very clean and comfortable. Loved having access to Beach Club too

We recently wrapped up a week’s return from the Big Island and our first stay in this condo. We’ve stayed in other homes in the area… First, we selected this unit based on reviews and amenities. We love to cook while on vacation and this unit was well stocked in terms of food prep items, beach accessories and items needed to make for an enjoyable stay. One of our favorite attributes of the unit is its lower lanai - the view is very relaxing with a nice table and outdoor seating allowing for enjoyment of the area. Secondly, location is optimal. It is not too far from the entrance, a nice corner unit, and most convenient access to the community pool. We had a wide range of ages in our family this trip and everyone enjoyed their stay! Our biggest concern overall, and I say this respectfully because I understand the staffing challenges in the hospitality industry but this unit needs a good detailed cleaning. While the unit was picked up/cleaned prior to our arrival, high touch areas and some common use items need a thorough cleaning. Door jams, walls, light switches were visibly dirty. I had to grab a bottle of cleaner and spray down one wall that had a sauce of some sort splattered on it and then moved on to all lower doors in area. While there are signs in the showers asking guests to clean down the glass doors after use, the shower door rails was covered with mold and I’m sure you can guess what else. Please get the cleaning crew in to scrub down these areas. The washer/dryer which are fairly new had had a strong smell of mold which was also visibly present in the door. This then explained the awful smell on all the towels which we rewashed after disinfecting the washer. Again, nothing that a deep cleaning/attention to detail can’t fix. The downstairs vacuum didn’t work but they were responsive to our request for a new one. Overall, it was an enjoyable and relaxing stay.

Comfortable, well appointed, good location in the heart of Kohala Coast resort country. Grounds are very well maintained. Pool close by. Beach short drive.

We had a lovely time here - the place was clean (yes there was carpet that had a few very minor stains but it was spotless otherwise). Modern finishes, comfy beds, and great communication with the property management company. The pool and hot tub area was really nice and lovely to end the day in. Also super close to Mauna Lani resort and beach club. We had an amazing dinner at the Ha Bar - HIGHLY recommend. Beach club was great too! Great stay and easy to coordinate with friends renting a condo in the same place so that was super fun.

Very much enjoyed our stay at The Fairways. Unit was close to pool and fitness center. Condo was clean and had everything we need and expected.

We've been staying at a Fairways condo for the past 13 years. While nice, this was our most disappointing. There was virtually no privacy in the main living area as one window had no covering and the other had partial drapes. The blinds off the dining area going out to the BBQ area need work. Two were completely missing. A third fell off while we were there (which I repaired) and others were obvious replacements since they were different lengths from the others. The BBQ was dirty, as we some of the BBQ utensils in the drawer.. The beds were great and our stay was fine. It's just there are better options available.

Five of us visited the Big Island in late October and stayed at The Fairways at Mauna Lani. The property is equipped with everything you might need. Kitchen has everything necessary for preparing meals - plenty of pots and pans, coffee mugs, glassware, plates, knives etc. It also has 2 coffee machines. All the beds and sleeper sofa are comfortable and so are the pillows. The bathrooms had plenty of towels, shampoos and soaps and the water pressure is excellent. The washer and dryer are brand new and top of the line (plenty of laundry detergent as well). The back patio is absolutely beautiful with huge flowering trees and hedges. And the outdoor grill was very useful for grilling local freshly caught fish. The digital lock was a nice touch - no need to carry or worry about keys. There is plenty of beach gear in the garage. If I remember correctly - 2 umbrellas, 3 lounge chairs, 2 regular folding chairs, at least 2 body surf boards, snorkel gear, a great cooler with wheels and a cart to carry the pool gear around. Two things I would suggest - the carpet in the dining room needs a bit of refreshing (that wouldn’t be the case if guests take their shoes off) and the beach towels are a bit worn out. The management was absolutely wonderful and we will definitely visit again. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo is well furnished and everything is as listed. We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio and it is surprisingly private for being on the main road. Entering the property was a breeze. We also love the private beach club with the lounge chairs and cabanas provided at no cost. We will be back!

We are family of 5 (kids are 9, 5 and baby) and we enjoyed our stay here. Communication with property manager was great. We ordered a few items on Amazon without problem! (You will order on different address, but staff will bring items to you) – big thank you! Resort private beach is excellent for snorkeling and small kids. It is close (with car 5 minutes) and you will have card to enter private parking. The Restaurant on the beach is great as well (one of the best that we visited on big island). We spent lot of time as well on Hapuna beach (10 min drive). Our kids loved there especially our older boy (bigger waves). We visited several other beaches as well (they are all beautiful) but these 2 were the most convenient for us (for baby and 2 kids) and close to resort. Apartment will have everything that you need (AC as well). We used 2 small surfboards from the garage on Hapuna beach. There is Foodland market near by (you could walk there) – but I was always using car :) Looking forward to some future visit! Thank you!
