Carolina Sweet Tea was a great stay for our family. Kitchen was well equipped and we loved the wood block island. The week was less than desirable weather so the hot tub was visited everyday sometimes twice. Plenty to do for the whole family of all ages. It’s well set up for babies/toddlers from pack and plays & toys on all floors. Sand toys, beach chairs and beach cart were available for use. The putt putt course is really cool too. Basketball goal, pool table and football available. Parking can easily fit six trucks. The beach isn’t far although we drove daily to the 4x4 beach. Only thing is everyone but the teens said that their bed was too hard. Also take your pillows along, ones provided were flat as pancakes. Location is first spot on street next to busy Hwy 12 so loud vehicles late and early. Overall was a great stay!

This so nicely decorated beach home has something for everyone. We loved it!

Property was nice with a 2 block walk to the beach. Had to go up then down steps to get to the beach so carts did not work well at that point. Beach was nice. Property had lots of amenities that we really liked. Kids had a great time playing put put swimming, game room and movie room. Very comfortable house. I would have liked the bunk room (bedroom) to be more for a family....queen bed and separate bunks. Also better quality....for kids great but not for adults. Oh.....for older people lots of steps. But still 5 stars for us.

This house has everything you need for your vacation stay. There is plenty of room for everyone. WE had a couple of cooler, rainy days and enjoyed the inside activities. Puzzles, games, books, movies. My husband even played Yahtzee for the first time at age 63. It's a short walk to the beach. The mini golf course is always fun for everyone. The pool area is spacious with plenty of seating and gets sun all day.

The outside was a little beachy but the inside was very pretty. Everything was clean and neat. The house decor was nice. The kitchen was fantastic with a lot of space and had plenty appliances.

How was extremely dated, did not look like it had been cleaned inside (soda or something brown splattered all over white kitchen cabinets- you’d have to be blind not to see it), dust and spider webs evrywhere. Outside was gross. There wasn’t a single entrance that didn’t have to be cleared of massive webs and animal droppings before entering. I took photos. We will not use this rental company again. Or stay at this home. We stayed here 3 years ago (with a different company) and enjoyed it enough to book again but sadly it was not the same.

The "double" kitchen was awesome. Having two of dishwashers, stoves, microwaves, and refrigerators was the best! Not to mention two washers and dryers. The mini golf course in the yard entertained everyone without having to pay for each game. The kids enjoyed watching movies in the theater room. The pool area was in the sun all day and evening. The walk to the beach was not that far. The house was clean and not cluttered with decor as some houses are. I could go on and on.

It was a really easy process, all questions we had were answered promptly. Great location, neighborhood was peaceful and quiet yet close enough to anything you’d want to do. Awesome vacation. Thank you

The house is very conveniently located in an exceptional area of the Outer Banks. Our family and friends like the amenities of the home and spacious living and recreational features. The home theatre and game room are hits with the kids and the pool is always fun. The spa is great for the adults to relax before turning in. Definitely recommend this to others.

The house had not been vacuumed, floors were not mopped & refrigerators were not wiped down upon arrival. The cleaning company was willing to return the following day but with kids of all ages taking naps at different times it was just easier for us to do the cleaning ourselves. Matching sheets to beds was a nightmare...many of the sheets were mis-marked (some had tears or holes)...we've never stayed at a place that provided linens that required the renter to match sheets to beds. There were several nails popping up in various places on decks, some of which we fixed ourselves (for fear of someone getting hurt) but did make the property manager aware. The location was great...a quick walk to the beach and there were plenty of beach chairs & a beach cart available. The double kitchen made preparing meals for everyone a cinch!

Upon check-in we were told to come to the office for the keys, which we given the code and a "welcome bag" with 1 roll of toilet paper(for 7 bathrooms), 1 roll of paper towels, a sponge, and a dish detergent pack. The front door/porch was covered in bugs and webs. The house was not clean, water balloon scraps on rugs in most rooms, sand on floors. The clean sheets are left outside for you to put on the beds (all the bedspreads and throw pillows are not cleaned!) Almost all of the bed skirts are ripped. No towels or dish soap for the kitchen. The kitchen counter was cracked in several spots and needed to be regrouted. The yard and pool area were full of weeds, deck needed to be power washed. The deck had nails sticking out and was not super sturdy. The pool liner was coming apart from the edge of the pool in several spots. The putt putt course was flooded and covered with weeds. The entire downstairs area smelled of mold. We called for a clog in the downstairs drain and service never came out. There was a parental control that only allowed 3 tvs to be watched at a time (cable channels) and would kick someone off from viewing. We were told the homeowners would not allow us to use the code. We will surely be looking for a different house for next year. The pictures look so much nicer than the property actually is.

We experienced one maintenance issue with the septic tank. It took 3 phone calls for the folks to arrive to assess the situation. But once they got there they were very helpful in getting it resolved quickly.

Also, the property was just a short walk to a great beach.

However, upon arrival, we were not happy with the cleanliness of the house...toilets were not clean, floors were dirty (found ibuprofen on the bedroom floor), and the dining room table had crumbs on it. We called Carolina Shores immediately. They were quick to send someone over to clean the bathrooms, but we were not impressed with even the second so called cleaning. We also found other issues with the house throughout our stay which were reported on the Damage Report.
As a previous renter stated, once we did our own "cleaning" which is should not take place, the house was great. The kitchen was spacious and generally well equipped. The house just needs some minor fixes and a good cleaning.

I would not recommend this property due to the traffic noise...the house sits just off the main road, so if you're used to quiet, this is not the place for you; however, if you're a city person or live close to the highway, it may not be an issue.

Loved that it has 2 refrigerators, however 1 defrosted all the time so water drained to the bottom but it did keep everything cold. The house was well equipped with dishes and kitchen supplies to prepare almost anything! Beds were a little hard but not too bad. The pool and hot tub were perfect to entertain the young kids until we headed to the beach. Only 1 mile from the grocery store, so the location was very nice! Would definitely recommend this place for an inexpensive place if you have a large family!
