The view is AMAZING -- as someone else said, you feel like you are on a houseboat! The place was super clean and neat, and the kitchen was fully functioning (the olive oil and sandwich bags were clutch). Everything was just *easy* and *relaxing*. Perfect getaway spot!!!!

Like living on a luxury boat without the seasickness! In spite of some rain during our stay, the view from the bay window kept us transfixed with ever-changing clouds, waves and light. The location is magical and the cottage itself perfection--everything a person or two could want or need. The Lily Pad is nestled down below street-level, with private deck and garden at waters' edge. And Alisa is a lovely and gracious host. Highest recommendation!

Lily Pad Cottage is a beautifully decorated studio with a king sized bed, a well equipped full sized kitchen and cathedral ceiling. The cottage sits right on the water with a spacious sized deck and is next to a large yard beautifully landscaped with a firepit. The cottage was exactly as described. The booking process was very simple. The owner, Alisa, lives next door to the cottage. She was a wonderful host and very accommodating. We stayed at the cottage for 7 days during Thanksgiving week. We look forward to returning. We had a very comfortable stay. I highly recommend Lily Pad Cottage.

We so enjoyed our stay in this adorable cottage. At waters edge, you can hear the ripples lapping at the shore. Serene. Located in a quiet neighborhood with easy street parking. Sturgeon Bay is the perfect home base for traveling around Door County.

Lily pad cottage was in a fantastic location, 5 min to town and easy to find. The cottage itself was nice and had all the cookware and things we needed we needed with an amazing view. The only issue was there was a huge ant infestation that we told our host about on the first day. She helped immediately and put down traps but in the week we were there they were still all over in our bed, kitchen, and shower. If it weren’t for the ants it’d be a 10/10.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Alisa's place for our honeymoon. It looks exactly as pictured and is kept in amazing condition! Alisa was very helpful even before we arrived in recommending places for hiking, restaurants and other things to do in the area. The views of the water are incredible. Alisa is also very responsive if there was anything we needed or had questions about. We highly recommend staying here and will return!

Lily Pad Cottage is well maintained, has a great kitchen and includes a panoramic view of the bay from inside, access to very pretty grounds and a private deck from which you can enjoy the sights and sounds of Sturgeon Bay. It is a 10-15 minutes walk to town along the harbor. The property is a perfect starting point from which to explore Door County by private vehicle. This was our second visit...we are looking forward to coming back again.

We totally enjoyed our late winter Door County getaway at this lovely contemporary cottage on the Bay. All the amenities plus a delightful view of the Sturgeon Bay Waterfront. Within walking distance of the downtown shopping and dining area, and close to Potawatomi State Park for walking and nature opportunities. A perfect retreat complete with gorgeous sunrises. Definitely a place we would love to visit again.

Door County at the peak of Fall colors is pretty amazing. Couple that with a stay at the charming Lily Pad Cottage and life doesn't get much better. Alisa has thought of everything and it makes for a stay that is completely carefree. My only reluctance in giving a great review is that it may noth be available next time we want to go again!

Very clean, updated top of the line appliances and fixtures. Felt safe. Nice view and you ARE literally on the water. Private location. Very homely and comfortable. The stairs leading to the house need work and the mattress, a little too soft for me. Would go here again and will tell our friends about this home too!

Lily Pad Cottage is the absolute cutest little cottage! And if you like to feel you're on-the-water, this is it! I'd definitely recommend. If there was one little thing I'd change, it would be the 5-6 stairs to get down from the sidewalk. Maybe the steps could be a little deeper. as they are quite narrow, especially when carrying stuff. But honestly, I would recommend this lovely place highly!!

Loved being right on water. Loved the deck. Sat out on deck for hours. Part of deck is covered so even sat out in rain. Short walk to small beach and Sonny’s Pizza. Clean and had everything we needed. Only thing I would have liked was a shade/curtain on the door.

Everything at the Lily Pad was just as the listing showed. Alisa was a great host and had everything set for us upon arrival. What a view of the lake from the porch! Thanks for a great weekend.

You just can't get any closer to the water than in this little cottage. The owner has thought of everything - even beach towels!! Great for those of us traveling by air from far away. Great communication and quick to respond. We had trouble locking the cottage on our first night when leaving for dinner. Alisa was kind enough to make sure the cottage was securely locked while we were gone and let us know she had gone over to take care of. Even though she is next door you wouldn't know unless you made an effort to meet. Prada, the poodle mascot is adorable and friendly and if you aren't a dog lover you won't see her. Ask and she'll be over for some petting! The remodel of the cottage is lovely with plenty to cook, comfy chairs in and outside, bed is great-first time in a rental I didn't have a back ache after the first nite. Just all around fantastic. And close to all-we were able to see the entire peninsula.

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Lily Pad. The property was very clean, super cute, and exactly as described. You cannot beat the location in Sturgeon Bay with a beautiful view of the harbor. Alissa was a wonderful host. We definitely would like to stop back up at a future visit.

My husband and I stayed at the cottage for the weekend and it was perfect! The bed was comfortable and linens were clean. The bathroom and kitchen were very functional and clean. Overall, the place felt large for a studio setup. I loved the many windows and view of the sunrise was beautiful every morning! Appreciated the blinds for privacy at night and while we were getting ready. There is a small tv that you can watch in bed and a large tv in the living room space. Thanks for a great stay!

I loved this little cottage. It was so quiet and cozy that I didn’t want to leave. The view of the bay was beautiful even though it was partly frozen. The calm waters and ice added to the serenity of the whole property. It was exactly what I wanted/needed. Everything was clean and well decorated. I just loved it. I wish I could give ten stars.

My husband and I stayed here for our second anniversary. The only couple of downsides were, not being able to watch tv from the bed and the over all set up of the cottage. It was slightly deceiving by the pictures. I expected a bit more space. The front door does face the water but there are no blinds for the large window on the door. That was something to get used to haha. The kitchen is fully furnished which was wonderful, we made breakfast each day and saved some money there. Overall our host was very accommodating and we loved our experience in Sturgeon Bay. The people are wonderful and it very much reminded us of our tiny town we live in now. The Eberts

My husband and I just got back from spending a week at the beautiful Lily Pad Cottage. When we arrived, the cottage looked even more beautiful in person than it does in the photos. The decor inside is beautiful and inviting. What sold us on booking the cottage was the fact that it was right on the water. To see it in person, we knew we made the right choice to stay there. Our host, Alisa provided us with a lot of pamphlets of things to do in Door County. Plus she is a great resource for places to eat and things to do. We plan to make Door County an annual tradition and plan to stay at the Lily Pad Cottage again. We’ve already had a friend ask about the cottage after seeing our posts on Facebook. We highly recommend the Lily Pad Cottage!! Thank you, Alisa for your hospitality!
